Abstract

Maintenance of production machines is a production control to maintain the productivity of the production process. PT. Symgreen is a company that produces ice cream sticks. To achieve optimal results, regular machine maintenance is required. The occurrence of damage to the production machine experienced during the production process, in some damage to machine components, so that production results were reduced. The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis method is used to identify the failure mode and overcome the failure mode in every machine breakdown. To determine the failure mode category for the corrective steps that must be taken immediately and the direction of action that must be chosen to overcome the failure mode, LTA (Logic Tree analysis) is used. The results of the analysis showed that there were 4 machines and 2 types of damage based on the components of the production machine, namely the cutting machine the problem was in a broken bearing with RPN 144 in category B, rotary engine gear cracked RPN 125 category B, rotary engine spindle stuck RPN 125 category B, engine champering gear broke RPN 120 category B, printing machine gear cracked RPN 125 category C. P roposed repairs by performing regular maintenance on machine components, compiling work manuals on each machine. Keywords: Failure Mode, Production Machine, FMEA, LTA, RPN.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the root gap on bending test of SS 400 steel materials with different thicknesses of 10 mm and 12 mm using FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) welding in the 3G Vertical up position without backing ceramic. This study uses quantitative method, and the standard used in the test is ASME section IX (2019). The results of the study concluded that in specimens within the thickness of 10 mm, the highest value was obtained at the root gap variation of 4.4 mm with a bending stress value of: 467.48 MPa. Then on the specimen with a thickness of 12 mm, the highest value was found in a variation of 3 mm with a bending stress value of: 805.37 MPa

Abstract

Mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) job is a job in construction project and the implementation is conducted after the workers conduct structural work. The use of materials has an important part from project total cost because waste will be happened if it is used uncontrollable. The aim of this study was identifying JIT application to electrical work in Leedon Hotel Surabaya. The condition before the researcher implemented JIT in Leedon Hotel project, it was identified waste caused by design change, lack of coordination between project and Head Office, and materials availability with excess material stocks. The limited size of the warehouse as MEP materials storage made the material storage not optimal and it had potential to be waste. Applying just in time concept had a focus on waste elimination by planning - needs - use in the field based on the application of JIT method in the Leedon Hotel project. Limited warehouse conditions could still carry out material control without using excess material inventory which had an impact on minimizing the emergence of waste.

Abstract

PT. Gunung Sumber Rejeki is a subsidiary of PT. Agung Satrya Abadi which is located at Wonosunyo Village, Kec. Gempol, Kab. Pasuruan, Province. East Java. Gravel sand mining The sale value of natural products (sirtu) can be increased by processing and refining. The feed material is brought to the stone crusher and sand washing plant with the production of stone split 1 cm – 1 cm, 1 cm – 2 cm, 5 cm – 10 cm and sand wash with a silt content of less than 5%. In 1 cycle of pond maintenance, the feed material that can be processed is 1587.15 tons with a maintenance schedule every 6 days in all pond segments. Sludge impurities from the process washing sand flowed into pond one and experienced as much sedimentation 298.5 m 3 /6 days, pool two as much 313.98 m3 / 6 day, pool three as much 365.7 m3 / 6 day, and pool four as much 385.5 m3 / 6 day. Maintenance settling pond very need done because water in a settling pond reused for washing sand so that very influential on quality sand which in earn

Abstract

In this work, we aim to provide a connection between energy consumption during hiking and its relation to optimum logistic preparations in mountaineering-based tourism. Such energy consumption is calculated based on data from hiking track profiles and heart rate of persons taking the track. It is then used as input to solve optimization problems in term of the logistic preparations. Here, we demonstrate such connection based on the actual condition of hiking track in the Mount of Sindoro, Central Java, Indonesia.
