Abstract

The research is Classroom Action Research, which aims to improve basic chemistry student learning outcomes with the application of Treffinger's learning model with the help of audio visual media on colloidal system materials. Data collection techniques can be done with an observation sheet of student learning activities and evaluation at the end of each cycle. The collected data is analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the application of Active Knowledge Sharing strategy with Buzz Group method can improve basic chemistry learning outcomes in STKIP PI Makassar students which is characterized by an increase in the average learning outcome of cycle I students by 63.33 and cycle II by 72.67 and an increase in the completion of learning outcomes in cycle I which is 9 people or 22.5% and cycle II 35 people or 87.5%.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the types of student errors and the factors that caused students to make mistakes in solving a two-variable system of linear equations based on Watson's criteria for class VIII MTs Pattuku. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII MTs Pattuku then chose 3 subjects to be interviewed who had the most types of errors based on Watson's criteria. The research instrument used was a diagnostic test consisting of 3 questions about a two-variable linear equation system and interview guidelines. From the results of this study, it shows that there are no students who make mistakes in missing data (committed data) and indirect manipulation (undirected manipulation). 16% made incorrect data errors (innapropriate data), 40% made incorrect procedural errors (innapropriate procedure), 68% made an omitted conclusion error, 24% made a response level conflict error, 36% made mistakes in the skill hierarchy problem, and 48% made mistakes other than the 7 categories above (above other).

Abstract

This study aims to determine verbal linguistic intelligence, to determine the results learning English especially on students' speaking, and to find out the influence of verbal linguistic intelligence on learning outcomes in English students of class X IPA 1 of SMAN 1 Sidrap. This research is quantitative research; this type of research is a pre-experimental design research. The population in this study was all students of class X SMAN 1 Sidrap, amounting to 182 people, while the study sample was the entire population, namely students of class X IPA 1 SMAN 1 Sidrap, amounting to 32 people. The instruments used in this study were interviews, questionnaires, treatment and recording tools. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and simple regression test through the application of SPSS. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, verbal linguistic intelligence obtained an average value of 84.94, the lowest value obtained 0, and the highest value 107 and are at a percentage of 56.25% are in the average category. The results of learning English in this case speaking students obtained an average value of 96, the lowest value of 0, and the highest value of 96 and are in the good category with a percentage of 65.625%. The simple regression test results obtained sig <α (0,000 <0.05). This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a positive influence between verbal linguistic intelligence on learning outcomes of students of class X Science 1 of SMAN 1 Sidrap.

Abstract

There is a limited number of studies on why people, specifically teachers, can immediately cope with health and security crisis, and continue to live their lives as normally as those who have not experienced such events in their lives, hence, the necessity to conduct this study. It explored the factors that influenced their coping mechanisms through exploratory sequential mixed method, involving respondents from seven schools district of Zamboanga Sibugay Division and from one school district of Lanao del Sur. The qualitative data gathered from 10 respondents through face-to-face interview and focused group discussion arrived at the factors that influenced the inherent coping mechanisms, namely: family, faith, profession, alliance, self-reliance, and service. The quantitative data gathered from 131 respondents through a researcher-made survey instrument were subjected to Pearson coefficient of correlation, t-test, weighted mean, and stepwise regression. It is concluded that faith, family, alliance, and profession wield a significant influence in the coping mechanisms of the respondents. Experience, and training were also found to have a differentiating performance in coping from health and security crisis; and that success in coping from catastrophic situations depends greatly on these factors. This study further proposed a model which can be used as basis in designing mental, spiritual, emotional, and social health programs to enhance the inherent coping mechanisms of teachers.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to determine the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes with specialization by applying the cooperative learning model of class XII MIPA students at SMAN 8 Takalar. From the results of this study, it can be seen the percentage of classical completeness from the initial test (pre-test), cycle I, and cycle II. In the initial test before getting the cooperative learning model treatment on specialization mathematics subjects, the average score of the student learning outcomes test reached 60.21. Furthermore, in the first cycle learning outcomes test increased to 71.39. This means an increase of 11.18. Then in the second cycle of learning outcomes test, the average value of the class reached 78.12. This means that there is an increase of 6.73 from cycle I. Before the action treatment was held, the number of students who achieved the minimum completeness criteria indicator (KKM) namely ≥72 was 14 students or 42.42%, while seen from the activities of the first cycle the number of students who achieve the KKM score increased to 20 students or 60.60%. The increase was also seen in the second cycle, the number of students who achieved the KKM score was 26 students or 78.78%.

Abstract

This study is the quasi experimental research that aimed to know the effect of the implementation of Padlet to the students’ achievement in writing. The implementation Padlet as independent variables and the students’ achievement in writing as a dependent variable. The population in this research is all students class XI MIA MAN 1 Makassar that consist of eight classes. Class XI MIA 5 as a control group that consist of 30 students and class XI MIA 1 as an experiment group that consist of 30 students. The data of the research was obtained by the study results test on the subject of the velocity reaction for pre-test and post-test. The data was analyzed by writing test. Based on analysis of inferential statistics for writing achievement, the P = 0.001, and it less than  = 0,05 was obtained, it is means that the implementation Padlet is significantly influence to the students’ achievement in writing of the students’ class XI MIA 1 MAN I Makassar on the material subject of writing.
