Abstract

This study aims to analyze the discourse in the Marjan Ramadan 2025 Episode 1 advertisement using the Critical Discourse Analysis approach of Teun A. van Dijk model, which includes three main structures: macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure. The 1-minute 10-second advertisement features a futuristic narrative with local cultural figures such as Mpu Baradah and Calon Arang that is packaged in a conflict between technology and spirituality. The results show that in macro structure, the main theme of the ad is the battle between the dominance of technology and the power of spiritual values, especially mother's love. In the superstructure, the advertisement is organized in a short narrative that is dense and symbolic, with binary opposition patterns such as creation vs creator and technology vs sincerity. In the microstructure, the use of symbolic language and dramatic visuals that reinforce the ideological message are found. In conclusion, this advertisement not only offers products, but also inserts cultural and ideological messages that traditional values such as prayer and love remain relevant in the digital era. This study recommends that people be more critical of the content of media messages, and opens up opportunities for further studies on cultural representations in advertisements.

Abstract

Unggah-ungguh in Javanese society is a science that regulates the way a person behaves in accordance with Javanese culture. Unggah-ungguh Jawa is defined as a person's manners or manners, which is synonymous with the value of respect. Tiudan Village is one of the villages where the majority of the population is Javanese. The progress of this modern era has made rural communities experience a shift in their uploads towards older people. The purpose of this study was to determine the shift in uploading Javanese language in the younger generation in Javanese society. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research data collection techniques, literature review and direct observation. The results showed that the shift in uploading Javanese language to the younger generation in the Tiudan Village community was due to a lack of socialization to the younger generation, then the unggah-ungguh shift was caused by smartphones which made the younger generation in Tiudan Village lose respect and courtesy. The solution used in re-applying the value of unggah-ungguh the Javanese language is by way of socialization to the community which can be done through teaching in the family environment and in the educational environment. Abstract

This study aims to reveal the meaning of work ethic contained in local wisdom, namely in the terms of Sundanese paribasa by describing and interpreting the content of Sundanese paribasa which contains the values of the work ethic of the Sundanese through the perspective of the philosophy of the essensialism school. This research uses qualitative descriptive research methods with data acquisition methods through literature riview, field observation, and documentation. The object of this study is the term paribasa Sunda which contains the values of the work ethic of the Sundanese people which until now is still actively used in the community. The result of this study show that there are as many as 11 paribasa that are still actively used by the Sundanese community and have work ethic values, including, namely (1) Kudu bisa ngeureut neundeun/pakéan, (2) Bibilintik ti leuleutik babanda ti bubudak, geus gedé ngan kari maké, (3) Mun teu ngarah moal ngarih, mun teu ngakal moal ngakeul, mun teu ngoprék moal nyapék, (4) Kudu bisa ngeureut neundeun saeutik mahi loba nyésa, (5) Kudu nété tarajé nincak hambalan, (6) Ari diarah supana, kudu dijaga catangna, (7) Ayakan tara meunang kancra, (8) Bengkung ngariung bongkok ngaronyok, (9) Cikaracak ninggang batu, laun-laun jadi legok, (10) Cul dogdog tinggal igel, (11) Élmu tungtut dunya siar, sukan-sukan sakadarna. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study will analyze short stories with a descriptive ethical approach. Descriptive ethics describes the good and bad moral behavior of an action. Nowadays there are many cases of people's moral behavior that deviate from the prevailing norms. Corruption, murder, fraud and others are a form of deviant social behavior. We can learn people's behavior through literary media, one of which is short stories. Short stories are short stories that contain real people's behavior, experiences and imagination of the author. This research will describe the character's moral behavior in Eli Rusli's short story "Telunjuk" using a descriptive ethical approach. This study uses a qualitative method. The use of this method is very suitable in analyzing a word or language with the subjective assessment needs of the researcher. This study uses documentation techniques because the research data is in the form of the publication of the short story Telunjuk on the media of the Mind of the People newspaper. Research data will be analyzed with a descriptive ethical theory approach. The results of the research show that there is bad behavior from the characters in the short story. Behavior in utilizing a position for personal gain. In addition, there are good figures at work, even though they are high positions and do not take advantage of these positions for personal gain. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah film pendek Pemean yang diunggah dalam kanal youtube Paniradya Kaistimewan pada 15 November 2020 dan objek penelitian berupa representasi nilai sosial budaya. Film ini merupakan film berbahasa Jawa yang diproduksi oleh Paniradya Kaistimewan, Yogyakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk representasi nilai sosial budaya yang terdapat dalam film Pemean. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis isi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce yang menganalisis tanda menjadi 3 jenis, yaitu ikon, indeks, dan simbol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: 1) Nilai sosial budaya yang terdapat dalam film Pemean berupa sistem bahasa, sistem mata pencaharian, sapaan, kemajuan teknologi, gotong royong, dan sikap. 2) Film pendek Pemean menampilkan realita sosial dalam kehidupan masyarakat dengan tetap berusaha melestarikan nilai-nilai budaya yang tumbuh dan berkembang. Film yang dikemas dalam bentuk komedi satir ini berusaha menampilkan pesan untuk tidak bicara besar jika kenyataannya kosong.

Abstract

This study examines the meaning in the lyrics of the song "Untuk Kita Renungkan" by Ebiet G. Ade. The researcher uses Roland Barthes' theory of semiotic analysis which contain three kinds of meanings: denotation, connotation, and myth. Roland Barthes' semiotic theory is applied to explain the three interpretations of the song lyrics. The methodology used in this study is inductive reasoning, which is a process from thinking things that are specific to things that are general. Data is collected by searching for documents containing the required information from various sources. The analysis of the song lyrics "Untuk Kita Renungkan" from a semiotic perspective yields the following findings. The denotative meaning in the song lyrics "Untuk Kita Renungkan" revolves around self-reflection and life, emphasizing the importance of good preparation and self-awareness and self-control in the journey of life. Additionally, the song also has a connotative meaning about the importance of self-introspection, learning from past experiences, having strong determination and spirit to face every challenge in life. The song does not specifically discuss myths but focuses more on the message about the importance of reflecting on the meaning of life's journey in order to live a better life.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are indispensable thinking skills in helping students solve everyday problems. Some of the criteria for critical thinking are being able to analyze arguments, statements or evidence, compiling a conclusion based on deductive reasoning, assessing and evaluating and being able to make problem solving. The purpose of this study is to develop the Science Box (KOSAN) media for students' critical thinking skills on energy materials and their changes in grade 3. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). The model that researchers use in this development is ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implement, evaluate). The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and tests. The subjects of this research were carried out by validators (media expert lecturers, materials, languages, 3 class teachers, 1 practitioner expert teacher, and students). The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and tests. The subjects of this research were carried out by validators (media expert lecturers, materials, languages, 3 class teachers, 1 practitioner expert teacher, and students). Researchers conducted research at SD Negeri 2 Karanganyar, SD Negeri 2 Wonorejo and SD Negeri 3 Sukorejo with a total number of students of 31 students. . The results obtained from media experts are at a percentage of 90%, material experts 89%, linguists 92% and ahlli practitioners by 94%. From these data, the media can be said to be valid with the analysis of the data obtained, there is a significant difference from before and after using the media. Evidenced by the results of the Paired test sample t-test showed a sig value of < 0.05, then Ho was rejected.

Abstract

Abstract Literature is an essay, findings from the ideas of the human mind and forms of human culture. Wattpad is an application that contains a story that is poured on internet media which is used by the author to produce a story. Character traits are the values ??that make up a character, and often depend on one's own life circumstances. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe how the character values ??of the main character in Wattpad Memories by Sirhayani are. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, with content analysis techniques. The data was obtained by observing and note-taking techniques, the reading technique was carried out while reading Wattpad Memories by Sirhayani which consists of 29 chapters, 994 thousand votes and has been read 15.8 million times. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the findings are as follows: 1) Integrity with 7 findings, 2) Nationalist with 9 findings, 3) Religious with 6 findings, 4) Independence with 2 findings, 5) Mutual Cooperation with 1 finding. keywords: literature, wattpad, character value

Abstract

Writing skill is the most difficult language skill to be mastered by BIPA learners. One of the efforts to reduce these difficulties is by choosing effective and interesting learning media. This research was written to describe the use of audio-visual media in learning to write BIPA learners. The research method chosen is descriptive-qualitative and uses the type of library research to find data about the use of audio-visual media. Based on the data obtained, audio-visual media is considered effective to use in writing skills because this media is not only in the form of writing or sound but also equipped with images that can provide a real picture of the material being studied by BIPA learners. Broadly speaking, the steps of applying audio-visual learning media are divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation.

Abstract

Novel termasuk ke dalam wacana yang dinyatakan secara tertulis, jadi penggunaan kata sampai dengan kalimat harus berkaitan secara padu antara kalimat sebelum dengan kalimat sesudahnya. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; (1) penggunaan kohesi gramatikal (2) penggunaan kohesi leksikal. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui pendekatan analisis wacana. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa data tulis yang berbentuk teks mulai dari kata sampai kalimat yang mengandung kohesi gramatikal dan leksikal, dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori. Pengambilan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode simak dengan Teknik lanjutan yaitu Teknik catat. Selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan metode agih dengan Teknik dasar bagi unsur langsung (BUL). Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan yaitu: (1) penggunaan kohesi aspek gramatikal meliputi: referensi (pengacuan), subtitusi (penyulihan), konjungsi (perangkaian) dan elipsis (pelesapan), yang didominasi dengan penggunaan referensi (pengacuan). (2) penggunaan kohesi aspek leksikal meliputi: repetisi (pengulangan), sinonim (sanding kata), antonim (lawan kata), serta kolokasi (sanding kata). Penggunaan Kohesi gramatikal ditemukan sebanyak 28 data yang terbagi atas 11 data referensi, 2 data subtitusi, 6 data elipsis, dan 9 data konjungsi. Sedangkan kohesi leksikal ditemukan sebanyak 13 data yang terbagi atas 5 data repetisi, 2 data sinonimi, 4 data antonimi dan 2 data kolokasi.
