Abstract

Learning in schools along the South Papua border is still less meaningful because it has not been integrated with the local cultural context. This Community Service program aims to develop learning based on traditional games of the Malind tribe to realize Meaningful Learning in elementary schools located in the South Papua–Papua New Guinea border area. The program involved 20 teachers and was implemented through three stages: identification and documentation of relevant traditional games, training on designing learning activities based on traditional games, and mentoring the implementation of learning in the classroom. Evaluation was conducted using pretests and posttests in the form of 30 multiple-choice questions to measure improvements in teachers’ understanding. The data were analyzed using gain scores to determine differences between participants’ initial and final abilities. The results showed an increase in teachers’ competence with a gain score of 0.45, categorized as moderate. Learning based on Malind traditional games was also proven to support character development, such as cooperation, sportsmanship, and appreciation of local culture. Therefore, this model has the potential to create Meaningful Learning experiences while preserving local cultural values and is expected to be replicated in other border schools with similar characteristics in the future. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran di sekolah-sekolah wilayah perbatasan Papua Selatan masih belum optimal karena belum terintegrasi dengan budaya lokal yang dimiliki masyarakat setempat. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis permainan rakyat Suku Malind sebagai upaya mewujudkan Meaningful Learning di SD perbatasan Papua Selatan–Papua Nugini. Program ini melibatkan 20 guru yang dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu pendataan dan pendokumentasian permainan rakyat yang relevan, pelatihan penyusunan desain pembelajaran berbasis permainan tradisional, serta pendampingan implementasi pembelajaran di kelas. Evaluasi program dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest berupa 30 soal pilihan ganda untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman guru. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan gain score guna mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan peserta sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan guru sebesar 0,45 dengan kategori sedang. Selain meningkatkan kompetensi guru, pembelajaran berbasis permainan rakyat Suku Malind juga berkontribusi dalam penguatan nilai karakter, seperti kerja sama, sportivitas, dan kecintaan terhadap budaya lokal. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran ini berpotensi menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna sekaligus menjaga kelestarian nilai-nilai budaya, serta dapat direplikasi pada sekolah-sekolah perbatasan lain dengan karakteristik yang serupa di masa mendatang

Abstract

Early childhood cognitive development is a fundamental aspect that is greatly influenced by parenting styles and parental involvement at home. However, parents in Perbahingan Village face challenges such as limited knowledge regarding parenting strategies that align with Islamic values ​​and children's needs, as well as a lack of practical educational media. This Community Service (PKM) program aims to empower parents through Islamic parenting education based on home education videos. Implementation methods include problem identification, developing materials based on the Quran and Hadith, creating and distributing educational videos, conducting outreach, participating in mentoring, and evaluating. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in parents' understanding of Islamic parenting concepts and the crucial role of families in cognitive stimulation. Parents transformed into more active providers of stimulation through educational and positive daily activities. The use of home education videos has proven highly effective due to their flexibility, accessibility, and the ability to be replayed as needed by parents in rural areas. The tangible impact is seen in improving children's thinking, communication, and simple problem-solving skills. Thus, this digital-based empowerment model is an innovative and applicable strategy to optimize early childhood development while simultaneously strengthening the quality of family education in a sustainable manner in areas with similar problems. ABSTRAK Perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini merupakan aspek fundamental yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh dan keterlibatan orang tua di rumah. Namun, orang tua di Desa Perbahingan menghadapi kendala keterbatasan pengetahuan mengenai strategi pengasuhan yang selaras dengan nilai Islam dan kebutuhan anak, serta minimnya media edukatif yang praktis. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan memberdayakan orang tua melalui edukasi parenting Islami berbasis video home education. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi identifikasi masalah, penyusunan materi berlandaskan Al-Qur’an dan Hadis, pembuatan serta distribusi video edukasi, sosialisasi, pendampingan partisipatif, hingga evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman orang tua mengenai konsep parenting Islami dan peran krusial keluarga dalam stimulasi kognitif. Orang tua bertransformasi menjadi lebih aktif dalam memberikan stimulus melalui kegiatan harian yang edukatif dan positif. Penggunaan media video home education terbukti sangat efektif karena sifatnya yang fleksibel, mudah diakses, dan dapat diputar ulang sesuai kebutuhan orang tua di pedesaan. Dampak nyata terlihat pada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir, berkomunikasi, serta pemecahan masalah sederhana pada anak. Dengan demikian, model pemberdayaan berbasis digital ini merupakan strategi inovatif yang aplikatif untuk mengoptimalkan perkembangan anak usia dini sekaligus memperkuat kualitas pendidikan keluarga secara berkelanjutan di wilayah dengan permasalahan serupa.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the rural economy; however, many MSME actors have not yet implemented systematic financial record-keeping. The main issues faced by MSMEs in Jubung Village include a low level of understanding and application of financial recording practices, as well as the commingling of personal and business finances. This community service activity aims to optimize MSME financial record-keeping through assistance-based interventions. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, consisting of observation, interviews, training, and individual mentoring conducted with ten targeted MSMEs. The results indicate an improvement in both understanding and implementation of financial recording practices, as seven out of ten MSMEs began to apply financial record-keeping, either comprehensively or limited to income statements and cash flow records. The assistance in simple financial record-keeping proved effective in helping MSME actors monitor their business financial conditions and support informed business decision-making. Nevertheless, some MSMEs continue to experience challenges in separating personal and business finances, indicating the need for ongoing assistance to ensure the sustainability of financial record-keeping practices.. ABSTRAK Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian desa, namun masih banyak pelaku UMKM yang belum menerapkan pencatatan laporan keuangan secara sistematis. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi UMKM di Desa Jubung adalah rendahnya pemahaman  dan penerapan pencatatan keuangan, serta masih tercampurnya keuangan pribadi dan usaha. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pencatatan laporan keuangan UMKM melalui kegiatan pendampingan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan tahapan observasi, wawancara, pelatihan, dan pendampingan yang dilaksanakan secara individual pada sepuluh UMKM sasaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman dan praktik pencatatan keuangan pada UMKM, di mana tujuh dari sepuluh UMKM mulai menerapkan pencatatan keuangan, baik secara lengkap maupun terbatas pada laporan laba rugi dan arus kas. Pendampingan pencatatan laporan keuangan sederhana terbukti membantu pelaku UMKM dalam memantau kondisi keuangan usaha dan mendukung pengambilan keputusan bisnis. Meskipun demikian, sebagian UMKM masih menghadapi kendala dalam memisahkan keuangan pribadi dan usaha, sehingga diperlukan pendampingan lanjutan agar penerapan pencatatan keuangan dapat berkelanjutan.

Abstract

PT Pegadaian (Persero) implemented a due date reminder system via WhatsApp as a preventative strategy to encourage customer discipline and minimize the risk of fines. This community service program aimed to optimize the delivery of reminder messages and analyze customer response patterns at the UPC Rewwin unit. The implementation method used a mixed methods approach, combining qualitative analysis to describe the characteristics of customer interactions and quantitative analysis to map the percentage of successful message delivery. The activity stages included data verification through an internal system, sending messages according to a standardized format, and direct response monitoring. The results of the observations showed variations in customer behavior divided into three main categories: active responses through interactive two-way communication, passive responses in which customers only read messages (read-only), and failed delivery due to data infrastructure constraints such as invalid numbers. Although the message delivery rate was high, the level of customer engagement in providing feedback remained relatively low. This indicates that customers are more receptive to receiving information than building social interactions. In conclusion, the effectiveness of the reminder system is highly dependent on the accuracy of the customer database. It is recommended that companies update contact data regularly and implement structured response recording to improve service quality and smooth company cash flow through a more personalized communication approach. ABSTRAK PT Pegadaian (Persero) menerapkan sistem pengingat tanggal jatuh tempo melalui aplikasi WhatsApp sebagai strategi preventif untuk mendorong kedisiplinan nasabah dan meminimalisir risiko denda. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pengiriman pesan pengingat serta menganalisis pola respons nasabah di unit UPC Rewwin. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed methods), yang menggabungkan analisis kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan karakter interaksi nasabah dan analisis kuantitatif untuk memetakan persentase keberhasilan pengiriman pesan. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi verifikasi data melalui sistem internal, pengiriman pesan sesuai format terstandar, serta pemantauan respons secara langsung. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan adanya variasi perilaku nasabah yang terbagi menjadi tiga kategori utama: respons aktif melalui komunikasi dua arah yang interaktif, respons pasif berupa nasabah yang hanya membaca pesan (read-only), serta pengiriman gagal akibat kendala infrastruktur data seperti nomor tidak valid. Meskipun tingkat pengiriman pesan tergolong tinggi, tingkat keterlibatan (engagement) nasabah dalam memberikan umpan balik masih cenderung rendah. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa nasabah lebih bersifat reseptif dalam menerima informasi dibandingkan membangun interaksi sosial. Kesimpulannya, efektivitas sistem pengingat sangat bergantung pada akurasi basis data pelanggan. Disarankan agar pihak perusahaan melakukan pemutakhiran data kontak secara berkala dan menerapkan pencatatan respons yang terstruktur guna meningkatkan kualitas layanan serta kelancaran arus kas perusahaan melalui pendekatan komunikasi yang lebih personal.
