Abstract

Abstract - It is no doubt that creative industry is the wheel for Indonesia’s economic future. However, despite the government support and growth in the creative industry, companies must be able to keep up with the market dynamics. Purezento, as one of the growing companies in the industry, faces a few challenges in this. Purezento encounters problems in its production process and warehouse management. The biggest challenge is the warehouse management where out-of-stock and overstock are the norms in its daily operations. On top of that, the company cannot manage its employees well which is reflected in the productivity level fluctuation. Qualitative research method was used in this paper in order to discover and solve the real problems that hinder Purezento’s production process and warehouse management. The inexistence of knowledge codification is the reason behind Purezento’s problems. The employees do have knowledge but they do not know how to put it in an accessible media. Furthermore, Purezento also employs networked culture and does not have written documents for its rules and regulation that give rise to poor employee engagement. The research gives some recommendations to the company regarding its inventory and workforce management. It suggests the company has 139 lumbers and 213 lumbers for its minimum and maximum standard, respectively. It is also shown that if Purezento can maximize its human resources, the company can save minimum Rp. 210.000,- for the raw material per months and it will be able to avoid Rp. 29.520.000 potential loss the least from its production.                Keywords: Qualitative Research, Production Process, Warehouse Management, Knowledge Management,   Corporate Culture.

Many efforts were made to improve awareness of all parties about the importance of GCG implementation in Indonesia, as well as IDX which always try to improve GCG implementation of Listed Companies. This research was done to find out the impact of GCG implementation to the market performance of the companies which listed in IDX. GCG implementation will be proxied by the value of Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI). While company’s market performance will be proxied by PBV ratio. Besides, this research also try to find out the impact of fundamental factors, such as ROE, ROA, DER, growth and firm size to PBV. It was done to know what should be done by IDX to improve GCG implementation of the Listed Companies. This research uses multiple regression model in SPSS to test the correlation of GCG implementation, fundamental factors and company’s market performance. The samples are companies which listed in IDX from 2010-2013, have complete financial datas, and have CGPI value which released by The Indonesia Institute of Corporate Governance (IICG) from 2010-2013. The result shows that only ROE and DER variables which have significant impact to PBV at the level of significance (α) 10%. While CGPI, ROA, growth and firm size variables do not have significant impact to PBV. Those  results show that the benefit of GCG implementation to create added value to the stakeholders is still can be reflected well yet in Indonesia because of the variation of the GCG implementation that caused by the lack of strict legal rules regarding to the GCG implementation and also lack of awareness about the need of GCG implementation. Hence, IDX as one of the regulator in Indonesian Capital Market is expected to have a strict rule regarding to GCG implementation of Listed Companies and able to improve the awareness of Listed Companies, investors, and all parties in Indonesian Capital Market about the importance of GCG implementation through educational programs, seminars, and the other forms of coaching as well as incentive and reward programs. The budget to implement those plans could use budget of routine activities as well as budget specialized for workshop or seminar activities in IDX. Keywords: Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI), ROE, DER, Multiple Regression , Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX).

Abstract

Abstract— Software development is an industry in which the output of workers depends to a large extent from their knowledge. With no experience in knowledge management programs, PT Jawasoft has suffered problems with unbalanced developer performance, loss of knowledge due to staff turnover, and inconsistent application of best practices. To ensure maximum effectiveness of the KM program while being resource efficient, Talisayon’s (2014) Demand-driven KM framework is chosen amongst other KM frameworks such as Jarrar (2002) and Wiig (1999). In this framework, it is essential to find out what the knowledge needs of the organization is because it will determine what initiatives to execute. This question was answered using qualitative methods: one-on-one interviews with each software developer, coding of the transcript in accordance with a conceptual framework of the software development process, building a conceptually clustered matrix of the responses, and finally ordering the issue types by most frequently mentioned. From the analysis 13 issues were identified with the top 3 issues being incomplete requirements at the start of the task, requirements not communicated clearly to the developer, and unfamiliarity with the business logic of the application. These 3 issues were analyzed using a people, process, and technology approach and also Talisayon’s generic types of needed knowledge. As the result of the analysis 4 main initiatives are suggested: recruitment of a dedicated business analyst, holding regular feature meetings with clients, holding an after-action review after each problematic task, and regular addition of knowledge asset into a central repository. Keywords: Knowledge management, demand-driven KM, software development

Under sharia principle, the agreement / akad has been ruled by National Sharia Council (Dewan Syariah Nasional) where the basis of transaction is through Akad Rahn & Qardh, however, accepted pawn collateral is limited to gold only. Nevertheless, risk management of pawnbroking business is not easy, where the potential risks always happen and occur, not only those small amount of risks with high frequencies, but also low frequency with significant financial impact, or even high amount of potential risks with high frequencies. The “stop-pawn product” decision had happened during 2013-2014. Bank Danamon Syariah’s management has decided to totally stop selling pawn product as per 15 April 2015. This research is solely purposed for exploration and management of the risks spread out in the pawnbroking process flow, and those are analyzed based on Basel 2 Accord and Peraturan Bank Indonesia related to risk management, and creating the most effective and efficient risk management model for pawnbroking. The choice of Bank Danamon Syariah as the research base because of this bank is the only sharia bank window who has opened 150 branches whose services are uniqely focused on sharia pawnbroking, and operated since 2010 until 15 April 2015.  Keywords: sharia 7 key pawnbroking process, risk management model, risk identification, risk level, risk mapping, risk mitigation.
