Abstract

Culture in the community environment develops and is preserved by the community. More and more these cultures interact with other cultures. These interactions lead to a cultural crisis, in which social changes occur that lead to a decline. Ismail Raji al-Faruqi is one of the leading Muslim scholars who initiated Islamic culture. This article aims to describe the idea of Ismail Raji al-Faruqi's Islamic culture. The idea is expected to be able to answer the phenomenon of the cultural crisis. By using descriptive analysis, this article shows that al-Faruqi's idea of Islamic culture basically focuses on seeing people's awareness of Islamic values. Muslims are expected to realize that they are creatures of God.

Abstract

Poetry is literary work that has elements figure of speech and strengthen the poetic element. This study to describe of figure of speech and imagery in the poem "Sunyi Yang Tak Habis-Habis" by Muhammad Asqalani Eneste. The poem is contained in anthology Doxology published by Sarbikita Publishing in 2014. This study uses a stylistic approach. The research method used is descriptive analysis method combined with semiotics. Research data in the form of descriptive data in form of sentences, phrases, and words in poetry. The results showed that poetry using figure of speech and imagery varied. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the types of figure of speech were found, such as repetition, hyperbole, irony, rhetoric, and sarcasm. In addition, various images were also found, such as motion images, visual and auditory images, and feeling images. The imagery and figure of speech dominate the meaning and message conveyed.

Abstract

Technological developments made a shift in the implementation of Sedekah desa. Youth as the next generation of cultural preservation is important to pay attention to cultural preservation such as the Sedekah desa tradition in Candi Village, Bentak, Sidoharjo, Sragen. This study aimed to determine the perception and involvement of the young generation of Candi Village related to the Sedekah Desa tradition. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the younger generation does not know and understand the Sedekah desa tradition in Candi Village, Sragen Regency, and the awareness of youth involvement in the implementation of Sedekah Desa tradition activities is only based on the delegation of social responsibility from parents.

Abstract

Waste piles in Indonesia are increasing year by year. Waste bank is considered as a real solution to the waste problem. During this time, waste bank has only been available around the community. Bank Sampah Pijar Area is a waste bank which is located at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. As a waste bank under the Islamic campus authority, the principles of running its business must also be on Islamic priciples. Therefore, the researcher aims to examine the Islamic business ethics run by the Bank Sampah Pijar Semesta. The purpose of this study is to harmonize Islamic principles that should be brought with the Islamic campus basic. The method used in this research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach by taking samples using the purposive sampling. The results of the study show that initially the waste bank had implemented the principles of Unity, Balance/Justice, Free Will, Responsibility, and Truth: Virtue and Honesty. This research can contribute to businessman and environmental hygiene in the campus area.

Abstract

The development of pesantren (Islamic boarding school) into opportunities as an economic improvement through empowerment is one of the efforts to be independent by joining HEBITREN. Apart from being a place to study about religion, pesantren has also be able to provide welfare and be independent in management. This study aims to determine the empowerment of pesantren through hebitren of Solo Raya in improving the economy. As the development of the era, the opportunity of pesantren in economy are also increased. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data of the study was collected through interviews and observations. The results show that the program carried out by hebitren in Solo Raya increased the efforts in improving the economy of pesantren in Solo Raya.

Abstract

Nowadays, Students are the parts of z generation also the agents of change. But, in this social media era there are many deviant behavior. This study aims to describe the social loafing behavior that occurs in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students based on its aspects. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection in this study was in the form of questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, the sample is the active students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) study program in semesters 2, 4 and 6 of 2021/2022 as z generation. Abstract

Students of Islamic Education Study Program at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta have a goal to produce professional islamic education educators, with Islamic character, high quality, and technology-based. However, most students attitudes are still not in accordance with the meaning of islamic education itself. Indicators of honesty are still not reflected in them, especially in carrying out academic activities. This study aims to determine the honesty of islamic education students in an academic context. The method used in this research is qualitative research with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews involving three informants. The data collection technique in study was purposive sampling with criteria: sixth semester islamic education students, staying in islamic boarding school, and had never been the subject of previous research. As a result, students have not fully implemented academic honesty and still have a tendency to cheat, plagiarize, lie and do unusual things in completing academic tasks.
