Abstract

Many postpartum mothers die from perineal injuries. Perineal infection can occur if the perineal wound is not treated correctly and correctly. This study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of healing wounds perineum postpartum mothers using green betel leaves and pure honey. This type of research is pre-experimental using one pretest group-posttest design. The number of 20 samples is determined by purposive sampling. Intervention is done using betel leaf decoction water to rinse perineal wounds for one week. Water is made from 5 sheets of betel leaves boiled with 1000 millilitres of water for 30 minutes to 600 millilitres. Data collection uses observation sheets filled in before and after the intervention. Analysis of data using the McNemar test obtained the result of the P-value 0.021 with the meaning <0.05. The results showed an effect of giving green betel leaf water and consuming pure honey to heal perineal wounds in postpartum mothers, so it is recommended that postpartum mothers suffering from perineal wounds use a decoction of green betel leaf water to rinse the perineum and consumption. Pure honey because of the benefits and content obtained in green betel leaves and pure honey in healing perineal wounds.

Abstract

Depression stress can be experienced in pregnant women if complaints and causes of change are left. A relatively crucial light massage is given to pregnant women in the time leading up to labor. This study aims to determine the effect of endorphine massage on the psychological readiness of pregnant women primigravida trimester III is facing birth in the working area of Puskesmas. The research design using pre-experiment. The population is the entire pregnant woman primigravida trimester III gestational age 36 weeks. Sampling technique using purpose sampling with a sample count of 30. Data analysis with Wilcoxon. The study results obtained the average level of psychological readiness of pregnant women before being given intervention is 80%. After being given intervention, the psychological readiness level of pregnant in the face of labor is 100%. Statistical tests with Wilcoxon obtained  value of p = 0.000 < α = 0.05, there was a significant difference in psychological readiness before and after treatment. There is an effect of endorphine massage on the psychological readiness of pregnant women primigravida trimester III in the face of labor. Endorphine massage can be applied at home with a partner or family to overcome complaints in pregnancy.

Abstract

Anaemia is a problem that often occurs in pregnant women, which, if not above, can result in impaired fetal growth and even death. Green beans are a source of food that contains iron, vitamin C and zinc. This research aims to analyze the effect of giving green beans toward the increase of haemoglobin level on pregnant women with anaemia in the working area of Puskesmas. The research method is the kind of pre-experimental research using the approach of one group pretest-posttest design. The sample is 30 pregnant women with anaemia. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Haemoglobin level was carried out before and after the experiment, and green bean porridge was given to the respondents 2 times a day for 7 days. The results showed that the level of pregnant women's haemoglobin treated increases averagely as much as 1.17g/dL. The result of data analysis using paired T-test obtains p-value = 0,000<α 0.05. There is a significant effect of giving green beans to increase haemoglobin levels on pregnant women with anaemia. It is hoped that midwives can provide counselling about the benefits of giving green bean porridge to increase haemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anaemia.

Abstract

Menopausal women are 60% more likely to develop gout, this is caused by a decrease in levels of the hormone estrogen which causes uncontrolled uric acid disposal. Gout sufferers who continue to take analgesic drugs will cause side effects that are berbahaya so that nonpharmacological treatment is needed. One of the nonpharmacological treatments is the provision of soursop leaf water decoction. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of giving soursop leaf water decoction on the decrease in uric acid levels in menopausal mothers in Limba B Village of Gorontalo City. This research method uses pre-experiments with the design of one group pre-test-post-test. With a study population of 35 people and a sample of 15 people taken using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the research analysis used the Paired Sample T-Test which showed that there was an effect of giving soursop leaf water decoction before and after being given soursop leaf water decoction. with a value of p = 0.000 (<0.05) which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of research it can be concluded that the decoction of soursop leaf water has an effect on the decrease in uric acid levels in menopause.

Abstract

Premature rupture of the membrane is a complication that threatens the soul of both the mother and the baby born. This article aims to determine the factors that can increase premature rupture of amniotic fluid so that prevention can be done. The study was conducted at the health centre for ten months. Research design with a case control study approach using the purposive sampling technique, collecting data using observation sheets. History of premature rupture of membrane, age, parity and employment status. This study used a research design with a case control study approach using a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 15 respondents who experienced prom and 15 respondents who did not experience prom collecting data using observation sheets. Results showed that of the 30 people who were used as samples, 16 mothers had a history, there were 13 (81.2%) cases of premature rupture of membranes. Based on the results of chi square analysis, the value of = 0.000 < from 0.05. Conclusion There is a relationship between the history of prom, age, and parity with prom's incidence advice for pregnant women to avoid risk factors that increase the incidence of amniotic rupture early.
