Abstract

To investigate the diversity of gastropods and bivalves in the mangrove forest area Apit Siak River District in April to December2014.The results are used for the development of instructional mediain the form of media objects directly in the form of wet preservation of the species are found. This research was carried out with 2 phases: phase field research and media development. Determination of the research station by purposive sampling to establish three research stations. Each station consists of two transects and one achtransect consists of 3 plots. Biological parameters observed that diversity index and the physical and chemical parameters include salinity, pH, temperature, organic content of the substrate and the texture class. The results showed that the diversity of gastropods in the mangrove forest area Apit Siak River District ranged from 1.73 to 1.85 which is relatively moderate range. The results of the research can be used as a medium of learning in the from of media preservation of biodiversity o the material wet grade ten high school. Keywords : diversity Gastropoda, bivalves, mangrove, media learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the composition and diversity of soil insect in Riau University Arboretum, and obtains an alternative learning source. The method of this research is survey. Locations were selected based on purposive random sampling considering 3 habitat types. The parameters used in this study is the composition and diversity of soil insect. Physical and chemical parameters measured were soil temperature, pH, water content and organic matter content. The data obtained are presented in tables and graphs then analyzed descriptively to be associated with the learning set of material. Based on the research that has been conducted, there are differences in the composition of soil insects at each research station. Of the three stations, there were obtained 5 orders and 12 species. Order were found which is consist of Hymenoptera, Collembola, Orthoptera, Coleoptera and Diptera. At the first station, found as many as 494 individual. At the second station, there was found as many as 217 insects and found 271 insects in stations III. The diversity of soil insect is classified as moderate with scale 1-3. The results can be used to develop inquiry-based learning animal diversity in the form of Student Work Sheet. Keywords : Composition, Diversity, Learning Inquiry, Soil Insect

Abstract

Research has been conducted in order to determine the growth of the earthworm (Lumbricus rubellus) with artificial food and utilization of research results to support the learning process on the concept of growth and development of invertebrates. This research was conducted at the Natural Laboratory of Education and Teacher Training University of Riau in April to June 2013. This study used a completely randomized design with 9 treatments and 3 replications. The material used is the earthworm (Lumbricus rubellus) as much as 270 worm with averaged biomass and body length. Organic materials as artificial feed (P1) tofu, (P2) kakawatan grass, (P3) chicken manure, (P4) cow manure, (P5) tofu + chicken manure, (P6) + kakawatan grass + tofu, (P7) chicken manure and kakawatangrass (P8) + cow manure + tofu. Parameters measured were the length and biomass of earthworm for 60 days after planting (at the beginning and end of the research). Proponent parameters measured were pH of soil, temperature of soil and moisture. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at the level of 5 %. The results showed increase length and biomass of earthworm (Lumbricus rubellus) is highest at (P4)treatment (cow manure) which is 0.214 g/tail, long worms present in the (P2) treatment (kakawatan grass) which is 4.99 cm and the lowest on all parameters is the (P0) treatment (no treatment). The results of the research can be used to support the learning process in the form of Student Worksheet (LKS).Keywords : Lumbricus rubellus, Growth, Artificial Feeding, LKS

Abstract

This descriptive study was conducted in November 2013 to August 2014, aims to evaluate the project work skills and social attitudes through Project-Based Learning (Pj-BL) in SM3T participants Lanny Jaya district. This study used a total sampling technique involving 32 teachers SM3T-UR, and distributed 4 to 5 people per district on the 7 district. Parameters consisted of: a. skills tasks and projects with components of each item: 1) preparation (design, schedule, coordination of activities); 2) implementation (suitability of activities, suitability schedules, documentation, licensing and constraints); 3) The product that report and essay stori with the assessment format, content, systematic writing, documentation); b. Social attitudes includes honesty, discipline, responsibility, polite, caring and confident). The data of skills collected in the form of reports and stori, then analyzed using pothpolio sheet. Social attitudes data were collected using a sheet of self-assessment questionnaires and peer assessment questionnaire. Data were analyzed by determining a score, percentage and tabulated, and then analyzed descriptively. Results of the study found Skills project tasks in 6 districts Lanny Jaya categorized Good, and the district excellent categorized, is participants of Nokapaka district. Component lowest skill district is implementing a project on the item suitability with the implementation of planning activities, suitability with the implementation of the planned schedule and constraints in implementation in categorize Quite. Reporting skills and overall stori work items categorized Good. Social attitudes of participants SM3T-UR in the monitoring-1 are likely lower than the monitoring-2. Lowest social attitudes in the monitoring-1 is confident, meanwhile the lowest monitoring-2 is the attitude of caring and polite. Social attitudes of participants Very Good is in Makki districtand Nokapaka district. Conclusion is skills of project task and social attitudes of participants SM3T-UR categorized Good. From the project task, we can concluse that Pj-BL can aim the profile skill and social attitude from SM3_T participants. Keywords : Project-Based Learning, Skills project task, Social attitudes, SM3T Program.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of Biotechnology Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau Pekanbaru. In the month of September 2013 - January 2014, with the aim to determine mikropropagasi purple sweet potato (Ipomoea blackie) using BAP and IBA in vitro using Murashige Skoog medium (MS) on the growth of primordial shoots and roots. Parts of the plant which will be used as explants is to take part tuber meristematic tissue concentrations of BAP (0, 1, 1.5, 2, and 3 mg/l) and IBA (0, 0.5, 1, and 2 mg/l). The results showed that there were differences in the growth of explants due to the addition of growth regulators BAP and IBA. Time appears primordial shoots fastest is on treatment (BAP 1.5 + IBA 2 mg/l) with a time of 14 HSK (day after culture) while for the roots of the fastest emerging waktul on treatment (1 BAP + IBA 2 mg/l) with 18 HSK time. BAP and IBA treatment at this concentration has been balanced for growth of purple sweet potato explants. The results of this study will be integrated as a learning resource for high school students of class XII in particular on material in the form of tissue culture techniques Student Task Sheet (LTS).Key Words : Mikropropagasi, Ipomoea blackie, BAP, IBA, sumber belajar
