Abstract

Fires, as one of the disasters causing significant losses, are often attributed not only to physical or natural conditions but also to human negligence. Therefore, preparedness requires consideration of both physical and social aspects. This study analyzes the risk of disaster preparedness at the Makassar Health Quarantine Center. It employs descriptive research, with a population consisting of all 132 employees at the center. Using purposive sampling, the study included 99 respondents. The findings showed that the emergency response plan was categorized as ready, with 66 respondents (66.7%), followed by the disaster warning system, with 64 respondents (64.6%), and resource mobilization, with 53 respondents (53.5%) in the ready category. The study concludes that, based on disaster preparedness parameters, employees at the Makassar Health Quarantine Center are, on average, very prepared to face disasters. To sustain this level of preparedness, employees are encouraged to remain proactive in activities related to disaster preparedness, ensure access to updated information, and maintain disaster preparedness facilities. Continuous efforts in these areas will help maintain and further improve disaster readiness in the workplace.

The type of research used was a quasi-experimental study. The design used was a pretest-posttest with control group design. The population was all pregnant women who made pregnancy visits at the Pangkajene Health Center and a sample of 52 pregnant women with a classification of 26 pregnant women who were given pregnancy and baby tracer application intervention and 26 pregnant women only received ANC services. Anxiety was measured using the HARS questionnaire. Data analysis used Paired T-Test and Mann Whitney. The results of this study showed a decrease in anxiety scores after receiving pregnancy and baby tracer application intervention. The conclusion of the study is that there is an influence of the use of the pregnancy and baby tracer application on the anxiety of pregnant women in the Pangkajene Health Center work area.

Diabetes Mellitus is a hyperglycemic disease caused by cell insensitivity to insulin. Diabetes Mallitus (DM) is influenced by DM control behavior and one strategy to improve DM control behavior is to use self-control. The aim of this research is to self-control checking blood sugar levels so that respondents change their behavior to prevent diabetes mellitus control. This research is quantitative research with quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design. Data was taken using a questionnaire where the research results showed a p-value of 0.001, which means that there is an influence of self-control in checking blood sugar levels on diabetes mellitus control behavior.

Abstract

Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is an information communication technology system that processes and integrates the entire service process flow in a Hospital in the form of a coordination network, reporting and administrative procedures to obtain information accurately and precisely, and is part of the Health Information System. Data from the Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health states the use of the SIMRS application (hospital management information system), reporting that 1257 out of 2588 (or around 48%) hospitals in Indonesia have a functional SIMRS. There are 128 hospitals (5%) that report that they already have a SIMRS but are not yet running functionally. It turns out that there are still 425 hospitals (16%) that do not have a SIMRS. However, there are still 745 hospitals (28%) that have not reported whether they have a SIMRS or not. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional study design. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling, which was carried out in June 2024 with a sample of 51 people regarding this study. The results of the study showed that organizational culture has an influence on employee performance. It is hoped that with this study, hospitals can create an organizational culture related to employee performance.

Abstract

Patient loyalty is one of the key factors that hospitals must strive to achieve. This is because increasing patient loyalty can provide long-term benefits. This study is analytical in nature, using a cross-sectional study design. The independent variables in this study are process mix and physical evidence mix, while the dependent variable is patient loyalty. A total of 97 respondents were selected using the accidental sampling technique. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test and presented in frequency distribution tables. The results showed a significant relationship between the process mix (p-value = 0.000) and physical evidence mix (p-value = 0.000) with outpatient loyalty at RSUCM Medika Nusantara. The study concluded that the process mix and physical evidence mix in the outpatient department were still categorized as suboptimal and had an impact on outpatient loyalty at RSUCM Medika Nusantara. It is recommended that the hospital continuously evaluate its service processes and improve the availability of necessary facilities to enhance patient comfort during visits. This will ultimately lead to increased patient satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) in toddlers is an infectious condition that attacks the upper and lower respiratory tract in children under five years of age. This study aims to determine the relationship between ventilation area and floor type with the incidence of ARI in toddlers in Pepayungen Angkup Village. this research is analytic with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through questionnaires given to 76 respondents using simple random sampling technique. The research was conducted from May 20 to July 03, 2024. Analysis using chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between the area of ventilation with the incidence of ARI in toddlers in the village of Pepayungen angkup with a P value (0.023), and there was a relationship between the type of floor with the incidence of ARI in toddlers in the village of Pepayungen angkup with a P value (0.027). The conclusion in the study shows that environmental conditions, especially ventilation and floor type are factors that need to be considered to prevent the incidence of ARI in toddlers. Suggestions, Improve the quality of home ventilation by ensuring the ventilation area meets health standards, Use more hygienic floor types, such as ceramic or cement floors, to reduce the risk of ARI in toddlers and Educate the public about the importance of a healthy home environment to prevent ARI disease in toddlers.

Abstract

The implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is essential in preventing food contamination caused by biological, physical, or chemical hazards that may pose risks to human health. This study aims to describe the implementation of GMP in Kampung Lontong Surabaya. The research employed a descriptive observational design, which seeks to illustrate existing conditions without administering any interventions to the observed objects. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation checklists. The data were analyzed descriptively through tabulation. The implementation of GMP during the lontong production process was found to have several critical control points, as the production environment presented a relatively high risk of contamination. Overall, the food production practices in Kampung Lontong have not yet fully adopted GMP standards. It is recommended that producers place greater emphasis on personal hygiene and food sanitation, beginning with proper washing of raw ingredients and continuing through to the transportation of finished food products.

Abstract

Stunting is a significant public health issue affecting children under five years old, leading to long-term consequences on growth and development. The method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Research conducted systematically by following the rules with the flow of literature review to avoid subjective misunderstandings from researchers. The data used in the study are sourced from national and international scientific publication databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar and Science Direct. The search keywords for the article are arranged based on the PICOS Framework, the keywords are "stunting in children 0-5 years", "stunting prevention" and "stunting control strategy". The review identified the effective interventions highlighted include promoting exclusive breastfeeding, improving maternal nutrition, and implementing community-based nutrition programs. Additionally, the role of education and awareness in fostering healthy dietary practices among families was emphasized. The results of the review conducted on 3 national journal articles and 11 international journal articles indicate that strategies for the prevention and control of stunting must include a holistic approach that involves health promotion, nutritional improvement, sanitation enhancement, community empowerment, and the increase of parental self-efficacy. It is hoped that the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia will continue to decline, thereby improving the quality of future human resources to realize a competitive Golden Generation of Indonesia.
