Abstract

Efficient leadership can help teenagers develop responsibility, leadership skills, and social maturity, which are crucial for developing leadership abilities. Efficient leadership is not just about taking control; it involves leading with empathy, listening, and inspiring team members. Leadership skills are crucial for a leader to possess, as they can encourage growth and development within their immediate environment, both now and in the future. A leader must also be a good example for others. He or she must be able to demonstrate a positive attitude that is worthy of emulation. Leadership should be cultivated from adolescence, as this age is ideal for the formation of individual character rooted in Christian values. Good leadership does not necessarily mean being able to lead others, but rather being able to lead oneself well. Therefore, cultivating leadership skills from adolescence can help individuals become better leaders in the future, with strong character rooted in Christian values.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The meaning of life: a review of Ecclesiastes chapters 1 and 2. The meaning of life is a profound question that has stirred the human heart since ancient times. In the Book of Ecclesiastes chapters 1 and 2, this question is answered with honesty and sharp reflection on human experiences pursuing wisdom, pleasure, hard work, and wealth—yet ultimately concluding that all is vanity. The Hebrew word hebel, meaning “vapor,” becomes a symbol of the fleeting and uncertain nature of everything in the world. This journal employs a qualitative method with a theological-reflective approach to explore the contents of Ecclesiastes and connect it with the existential condition of modern humans who often feel emptiness amid abundance. Through biblical text analysis and spiritual reflection, it is found that the true meaning of life does not lie in worldly, temporary things, but in a life centered on God. Only in a right relationship with God can humans find true satisfaction, joy, and purpose in life.

Abstract

This article aims to respond to the neglect and oversimplification of the meaning of Christ’s ascension into heaven in contemporary contexts. This issue is of concern because there are still several churches in Indonesia that do not celebrate the moment of Christ’s ascension in their worship services. Moreover, sermons about the Ascension often come across as monotonous and overly apologetic, thus failing to provide a deep understanding of its meaning and theological significance. This study employs a method of critical theological reflection with a literature-based approach. The findings of the research reveal that the Ascension holds rich and profound spiritual meaning. Some key aspects identified include: the Ascension is not an ex-carnation; the Ascension as fulfillment; the movement of "descending" and "ascending"; the tension of being between present and absent; the concept of already but not yet (an eschatological hope); the notions of space and time; appreciation of the material world; and other related themes. It is hoped that this research can encourage a renewed understanding of the Ascension and offer a fresh perspective for the church and Christians in general.
