Abstract

Introduction: In general, the maternal mortality rate in Indonesia has decreased from 390 to 305 per 100,000 live births. Health services for pregnant women must meet the minimum frequency in each trimester, namely at least once in TM 1 (0-12 weeks), at least once in TM 2 (12-24 weeks), and at least twice in TM 3 (24-40 weeks). Obejtive: This study will analyze the factors that influence pregnant women to check their pregnancy (antenatal care), with the aim of analyzing what factors are related to antenatal care at the Melak Health Center. Methods: This study used a cross sectional design. The study population was all pregnant women who visited the Melak Health Center. Result and Duscussion: Most respondents are Mature Pregnancy 21-35 years old (77.8%), Medium Education Level (68.5%), Primiparous Parity (38.9%), Not Working (59.3%), and Good Knowledge Level (74.1 %). And the results of the logistic regression test obtained age factor (0.758), education factor (2.270), parity factor (6.006), occupation factor (1.722), and knowledge factor (1.643). Conclusion: Educational factors and parity factors that influence antenatal care at the Melak Health Center. And the most dominant factor influencing antenatal care at the Melak Health Center is the parity factor

Abstract

Background: Indonesia's maternal mortality rate is the second highest in Southeast Asia after Laos in 2015. Preeclampsy itself is a direct cause of maternal death with multisystem disorders that usually affect 2% - 5% of pregnant women in Indonesia. Objective: Determine the relationship between maternal age and parity on the incidence of preeclampsia.  Method: What is used in this study is an observational study that is analytical in nature with a cross sectional design or approach. The population in this study is all pregnant women of more than 20 weeks gestation in the Regional Technical Implementation Unit of the Robatal Public Health Centerin 2022, with a total sample of 258 people. Sampling technique using Systematic Random Sampling. The statistical test used is the chi square test. Results: Based on analysis with chi-square test, it was concluded that there was a significant association between age and severe preeclampsia (p=0.031 <0.05) and no significant association between parity and severe preeclampsia (p=0.497>0.05).  Conclusions: Based on analysis with chi-square test, it was concluded that there was a significant association between age and severe preeclampsia and no significant association between parity and severe preeclampsia.

Abstract

Introduction: position Head up 30º is a position given to stroke patients to improve blood flow to the heart. brain and maximize cerebral tissue oxygenation. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of head up 30º to decrease blood pressure in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients.  Methods: research quasi-experimental approach pre and post without control. The population is 32 people. The sample is 15 people using accidental sampling technique. The research site is in HIS Hospital. The instruments used are SOP, sphygmomanometer, and observation sheet. Collecting data obtained from primary data. Data were analyzed bivariately using paired sample t statistic test.  Results and Discussion: The results of the statistical test paired t sample p value are 0.000 <0.05, which means Ha is accepted that there is an effect of giving a head-up to the decrease in blood pressure of stroke patients in the inpatient room at Harapan Insan Sendawar Hospital.  Conclusion: There is an effect of giving a head up on the blood pressure of stroke patients at Harapan Insan Sendawar Hospital. It is recommended for the hospital to intervene in a head up in stroke patients

Abstract

Introduction: Psychosocial problems in adolescents are also influenced by factors of internet activity (social media). Teens who actively play social media, namely 87% and 33.3% of those who have smartphones are teenagers who are addicted to smartphones and these teens show high levels of depression, anxiety, stress, and poor sleep quality. Objective: to know relationship social media activities with adolescent psychosocial at One Junior High School 1 Damai City Districts Damai. Method: The research design in this study was descriptive correlation using a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted in February-April 2022. The statistical test used is Chi-Square if it is obtained t count (p-value) <0.05, then the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Result and Discussion: Relationship of social media activity with psychosocial (pValue = 0.00). Activities using social media at Junior High School 1 Damai City Districts Damai are in the low category (59.2%). Psychosocial adolescent at Junior High School 1 Damai City Districts Damai in good category (35.9%).  Conclusion: there is a relationship between social media activities with adolescent psychosocial at Junior High School 1 Damai City, Districts Damai.

Abstract

Introduction: The Preschoolers period is a golden period in the process of child development, meaning that it is a golden period for all aspects of human development, one of which is the development of children's socializing characters, therefore it is necessary for the role of parents to teach their children from an early age so that they can learn to interact with others.  Objective: To determine the relationship between the role of parents and the social character of preschoolers in Cahaya Kasih Christian Kindergarten in Keay Village and Recovery Christian Kindergarten 2 in Jengan Danum Village. Methods: The research design in this study was descriptive correlation using a cross-sectional approach. The study was carried out in April 2022. Results and Discussion: The role of parents in the very good category (93.4%). The children's social character is in the good category (86.8%). Statistical test of the relationship between the role of parents and the social character of preschoolers pValue = 0.00 <0.05.  Conclusion: There is a relationship between the role of parents and the social character of preschoolers in Cahaya Kasih Christian Kindergarten in Keay Village and Recovery Christian Kindergarten 2 in Jengan Danum Village.

Abstract

Introduction: Mother's milk is a good nutrient to protect babies against infection and prevent malnutrition because it contains important nutrients needed by the baby's body. Breast milk is the best natural nutrition for babies because it contains the energy and substances needed for the first six months of a baby's life. Breastfeeding is very important, but babies are still not getting exclusive breastfeeding.  Objective: To determine the relationship between mother's knowledge about breastfeeding and mother's behavior in providing exclusive breastfeeding in the Work Area of ??Technical Implementation Unit of the Public Health Center Barong Tongkok.  Methods: The design of this study used a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach, carried out in May 2022. The statistical test used is Chi Square if the t count (p value) < 0.05, then the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.  Results and Discussion: The statistical test of mother's knowledge about breastfeeding with mother's behavior in exclusive breastfeeding obtained a value of 0.003 <0.05.  Conclusion: There is a relationship between mother's knowledge about breastfeeding and mother's behavior in providing exclusive breastfeeding in the Work Area of ??Technical Implementation Unit of the Public Health Center Barong Tongkok

Abstract

Introduction: Chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) is a chronic infection of the middle ear which has been in the process for more than 2 months, which is characterized by a perforation of the tympanic membrane and continuous or intermittent discharge from the ear canal. In developing countries like Indonesia, the incidence of CSOM is quite high. Objective: to find out the characteristics of patient visits to the ENT polyclinic at Umbu Rara Meha Hospital and to find differences in the results of physical examinations for the Benign/ Benign type CSOM and the Danger/Malignant type of CSOM.  Method: The type of research used is observational analytics with a cross sectional design. Results and Discussion: based on the characteristics of patients visiting the ENT HN polyclinic, it was found that the dominant patients visiting the ENT HN polyclinic were male patients 50.7%, the age group 21-30 years 23% and ages 0-10 years 18.4%, most residents in cities who visiting Kambajawa 16.2%, high school education level 34.6%, Christianity 62.5%, using BPJS payments 51.5% and coming from the Sumba tribe 54.4%. The top 3 diseases in the ENT HN field are obturan cerumen 18.36%, rhinosinusitis 13.97% and cases of CSOM 12.2%. Conclusion: CSOM is included in the top three lists of the ten most common diseases at Umbu Rara Meha Hospital, determining the type of CSOM including the Benign or benign type or the malignant or malignant type will determine the appropriate therapeutic action and the prognosis of the patient's disease.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is the number 4 health problem in the world. Data from the International Diabetes Federation 2019 estimates that there are 463 million people (aged 20-79 years) suffering from DM. According to Riskesdas at 2018 47.2% of sufferers have poor control of their blood sugar.  Objective: To determine the relationship between family support and diet compliance of Diabetes Mellitus patients in the working area of the Barong Tongkok Health Center, West Kutai Regency.  Methods: The research design in this study is descriptive correlation using a cross-sectional approach. Determination of the sample using non-probability sampling, the research sample amounted to 78 respondents. Results and Discussion: Family support in the sufficient category (59.0%), Diabetes Mellitus Dietary adherence in the non-adherent category (62.8%). The relationship between family support and Diabetes Mellitus Diet was obtained p-value = 0.002.  Conclusion: There is a relationship between family support and diet compliance of Diabetes Mellitus patients in the working area of the Barong Tongkok Health Center, West Kutai Regency

Abstract

Introduction: Indonesia is ranked 7th in the world with 10.7 million people with diabetes. If this disease is not controlled properly, it will result in an increase in blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia) which can cause various complications, namely metabolic complications, microvascular complications, neuropathy complications and macrovascular complications. Objective: To determine the relationship between anxiety levels and blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at Technical Implementation Unit of Melak Public Health Center.  Methods: The research design in this study was descriptive correlation using a cross-sectional approach. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling, with a sample of 56 respondents. Result and Discussion: The level of anxiety in the Technical Implementation Unit of Melak Public Health Center is in the high category (51.8%). Fasting blood sugar levels at Technical Implementation Unit of Melak Public Health Center in the high category (57.1%). The relationship between anxiety levels and blood sugar levels obtained p-value = 0.01 smaller than 0.05 then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a relationship between anxiety levels and blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.  Conclusion: There is a relationship between anxiety levels and blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at Technical Implementation Unit of Melak Public Health Center.

Abstract

Introduction: The immunization program is part of the ways for the government in prevention and breaking the spread of diseases. The target of UCI (Universal Child Immunization) at Technical Implementation Unit of Melak Public Health Center has not reached it, which is 50% in comparison to the target, 90%.  Objectives: This research aims to describe the factors that contributed to the target of UCI (Universal Child Immunization) at the work area of Technical Implementation Unit of Melak Public Health Center.  Method: This research was done by using an analytical observational approach of cross sectional. The sampling was non probability sampling, which was a technique that did not give the same equal chance or opportunity to the population that became a sample. Result and Discussion: There was no cause on education (?=0,76) and occupation (?=0,58) to the target of UCI (Universal Child Immunization). But there were causes on knowledge (?=0,001), behavior (?=0,02), family support (?=0,001) and medical workers support (?=0,027) for the target of UCI (Universal Child Immunization) in the work area of Technical Implementation Unit of Melak Public Health Center. Conclusion: Based on the result, it is highly recommended for Technical Implementation Unit of Melak Public Health Center to increase their communication with people about immunization, side effects, kinds of immunizations that are conducted and the contents of immunizations
