Abstract

Objective of this research was to determine the effect of the use of worksheets based science technology society (STS) toward students competence at grade VIII in SMPN 1 Kubung. Type of research is quasi-experimental is the randomized control groups only design. As population in research was all students grade VIII in SMPN 1 Kubung in academic year 2011/2012. There were two instrumens to collect the data, those are written test for cognitive domain, observation sheet for affective domain and scoring rubric for psychomotor domains. The data analysis techniques in this research uses compare means test standard of quality 0,05 for cognitive domain and affective domain. Based on the data analysis it can be concluded that the use of worksheets based STS in physics learning significant effeck to word competence of students in SMPN 1 kubung Kabupaten Solok.   Keywords: teaching materials, worksheets, and  science community technolog

Abstract

Experiments simulation product made by using Adobe Flash CS 3 Professional software in order that students can understanding of physics concept. This product is intended to analyze the phenomena and symptom  that occur in a real experiment. The aims of this research is to produce a valid, practical and effective of an experiments simulation. This research including Research and Development (R & D) type and the instrument of research used pieces of the validation by experts, teachers and student response sheets as sheet practicalities, and learning outcomes assessment sheets. Based on the data analysis obtained average value product validation is 4.05 which suggests that experiments simulation have high validity. The average value of the result data analysis of practicalities is 85,5% meaning attempts simulations are practice. The test results obtained from the sheet effectiveness of student learning outcomes before and after the study showed an increase in student learning outcomes, experiments simulation effectively used in teaching physics in Senior High School grade XII. Abstract

Abstract—Purpose of  this  research  were  to  determine  the  validity  of  Interactive  Multimedia,to  describe  the  Interactive Multimedia, and determine the practicality and effectivity of application Interactive Multimedia in learning process.Type of research is  Research and  Development                     (R&D)  by  using before-after experimental design.  Objects of  the  research are Interactive Multimedia and the students in grade XI IPA 1 SMAN 3 Padang with 31 people. Data collection instruments were used in this research were: validity test sheet, practicality sheet and student learning outcomes test sheet. Products and data analysis technique used the analysis of the validity of the product, analysis of the practicality and analysis of effectivity. Based on the analysis of data can be presented three results of the study. First, Interactive Multimedia produced is valid with value 80,57. Second, Interactive Multimedia by using Moodle have good design with the main menu design, introduction, about, guidance, materials, exercises, quizzes, and chat . Third, the result of interactive multimedia is practice with an average value of practicality by Physics teacher is 90.56% and 82.39% practicality by students. Abstract

Abstract - This study aimed to investigate the differences in physical competencies through portfolio assessment of the teaching between groups and individual creative-productive model with the eighth grade students in SMP 25 Padang. Type of research is quasi-experimental with the study design randomized control group only design. Sampling was conducted using cluster random sampling technique. The competence data collected by using portfolios, pencil and paper test, observation sheets attitudes and performance scoring rubric. The data analysis technique competency in pencil and paper test and portfolio is two equality average test (t test) at the level 0.05, while for the attitude and performance by calculating the average value of each indicator of competence. Based on the results obtained are significant difference in the competence of science Physics through portfolio assessment of the teaching between groups and individual creative-productive model with the eighth grade students in SMP 25 Padang. The results of t-test analysis of the written test, obtained thitung = 2.103 and ttable = 2.00 at real level of 0.05. The results of t-test analysis of the portfolio, acquired thitung = 1.38 and ttable = 2.00. In the assessment of attitudes and performance appraisal average values ​​obtained experimental class 1 higher than the experimental class 2. Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the Padang city is in the area which allows suffered tsunami that required to improve preparedness against disaster. The learning was applied is Pictorial Riddle Approach video type in Inquiry Learning. The purpose of research is to determine the influence of Pictorial Riddle Approach video type to learning results of student in inquiry learning on wave material integrated by tsunami. The type of this research is Quasi Experimental research. The population in this research is all students of class XII at SMAN 3 Padang are listed in academic year 2012/2013. Class sample was determined by cluster random sampling technique. The instrument is used to collect data is written tests for the cognitive domain. The result of the data analysis is the learning results of student to cognitive domain for the experiment class and control class are 87.10 and 82.50. The hypothesis test for the cognitive domain is tcount > ttable at significance level 0.05 and dk 61. The conclusion is the hypothesis which states that there is influence of Pictorial Riddle Approach video type to learning results of student in inquiry learning on the wave material integrated by the tsunami in grade XII SMAN 3 Padang is acceptable.   Keywords — pictorial riddle, inkuiri, video, hasil belajar, gelombang, tsunami

Abstract

Abstract The research is development research that perpose for: 1) Understanding validity of learning book that contain the character values in material of work and momentum for physics learning class XI senior high school. 2) describing the making of result learning book that contain the character values in material of work and momentum for physics learning class XI senior high school. 3) Understanding practically and evectivitity of learning book that contain the character values in material of work and momentum for physics learning class XI senior high school. This learning book was developed use research and development metod. As object of research was learning book that contain character value for class XI first semester senior high school in material of work and momentum and subject of try out was student in class XI science 3 SMAN 1 Batang Anai. The result of this research: first learning book that contain character values is very valid with average velue is 92,05. Second, desain of this learning book such as: cover, main page, learning guidelines, concept map, standar competence, content of learning material, supporting information, examples exercisesm worksheet, homework, evaluation, key answer, feedback and reference. Third, the result of practically is very practice with average value, is 92,88 for teachers conception and 91,13 for students conception. The result of efectivity in cognitive domain have increace 21,75, average in effective domain is 89,11 and average in psychomotor domain was 89,13.   Keywords: character values, learning book, work and momentum

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of using of talking chip technique to student learning outcomes at grade 7 SMPN 1 IV Jurai Pesisir Selatan. Research method that used is quasi experimental with randomized control group only design. The population is student of grade 7 SMPN 1 IV Jurai listed in the academic year 2012/2013. Cluster random sampling technique was used in this research, and choosed 7.3 as the control group and 7.1 as the experiment group. Data is the learning outcome in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspect. Instrument was the achievement test on the cognitive, observation sheet for affective and scoring rubric on psychomotor. This research found that learning outcomes in physics using technique talking chip higher than the other group. Conclusion of research was the hypothesis there is a significant influence on using of techniques talking chips on student’s learning outcomes in science physics at grade 7 SMPN 1 IV Jurai Pesisir Selatan acceptable real level of 0.05. Abstract

Some of Physics matter’s phenomenon is cannot be observed directly. The abstract phenomenon make experiment activity in laboratory had the hands tied. One alternative to overcome the problem was make the abstract phenomenon can be observed by student in learning activity by using Virtual Laboratory. The general objective of this research was to produce a Virtual Laboratory for physics material “Kinematics with Vector Analysis” Grade XI SMA that has a good validity, practicallity, and effectivity. The type of this research was Research and Development (R & D). To reach objective above, steps done was: 1) identificated potential and problem, 2) collected information, 3) designed product, 4) validate design (with 5 experts), 5) product revision, 6) tested product. Based on the data analysis which has been done, it can present the research results. First, Virtual Laboratory for physics material “Kinematics with Vector Analysis” for grades XI SMA. Second, Virtual Laboratory has a high validity with average value of 81, 67. Third, the value of practicality of Virtual Laboratory was 78, 57 of teacher assessment, 83,22 of student assessment, and 86,54 of observer assessment. Fourth, Virtual Laboratory was effective base on student assessment (81,08). The effectivity of Virtual Laboratry was also signed by the increasing of student’s physics mark. Abstract

Researh to improve student centered learning need tobe done. The objective of this research was to improve interaction, communication, and cooperation of students in NHT type Cooperative Learning Model by using handout learning material that can increase learning result of students. This research can be categorized into “quasi-experimental research” uses “randomized control group only design”. The population of this research was all student in grade XI science  SMAN 7 Padang that enrolled in the academic year 2012/2013. The research samples were determined through two phases that is purposive sampling(first phase) and cluster sampling(second phase), grades choice as research samples were XI IPA 5 and XI IPA 6. Instruments to collect the data were observation sheet and test of learning result. In this research, there were two techniques, those are: percentage technique and two-mean correlation analysis. Base on the data analysis can be state that the result of this research was application NHT type cooperative learning model uses handout learning material can improve learning result of students for cognitive and affective field.   Keywords: Cooperative Learning Model, Handout, Learning Result, NHT.

Abstract

Teacher should facilitate the students in the learning process, one by providing teaching materials that match with students characteristics. Physics teaching materials which available is still not integrated by the values of Qur’an’s verses ​​ while in the learning process teachers using an integrated syllabus with the values ​​ of Qur’an’s verses. The general objective of this research was to develop teaching materials that integrated by the values of Qur’an’s verses for physics material Grade X about motion that has a good validity, practical, and effective . The type of this research is Research and Development (R & D). Teaching materials developed by using a four-D models consisting of four steps: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The exception for step disseminate is not performed. Based on the data analysis which has been done, it can present the research results. First, the teaching materials has a high validity with an average of 82.3 experts. Second, the value of practicality of teaching materials based on teacher assessment is 91.5 and the value of practicality of teaching materials based on students assessment is 93.7. Third, the value of effectively of teaching materials is 90.4. It’s signed by the increasing of physics student’s learning outcomes.
