Pillar of Physics Education : Jurnal Berkala Ilmiah Pendidikan Fisika
Pillar of Physics Education: International Journal on Physics Education is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal, published by Universitas Negeri Padang, which is dedicated to intercharge for the results of high-quality in all aspect of physics education. The editors welcome submissions of papers describing recent theoretical and experimental research related to: (1) learning outcome of physics, (2) Learning materials of physics, (3) Learning and teaching theories and models of physics, (4) Learning and teaching strategies and methods of physics, (5) Learning assessment and evaluation of physics, (6) The use of ict and media in learning of physics, (7) Learning management of physics, (8) Research and development in learning of physics, (9) Experimental methods in learning of physics, (10) Action research of learning of physics. The Pillar of Physics Education follows the open access policy that allows the published articles freely available online without any subscription. Submitted papers must written in English for initial review stage by editors and further review process by minimum two international reviewers.

<![CDATA[This research is based on the low science literacy of student and the teaching materials used in the lessons have not facilitated the students to increase their science literacy. The purpose of this study was to develop inquiry-based physics teaching materials and to determine the validity of inquiry-based physics-based materials on newton's law materials about motion and gravity to increase the science literacy of high school students of class X. The type of research used Research and development (R & D) research steps: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, product trials and product revisions. While the data analysis used is descriptive data analysis. The instrument used is validation sheet that has been validated by experts. Based on the results of validation by experts, the instruments used are at very valid criteria with an average value of 90.83.The results obtained consist of 2 results. First, generated inquiry-based teaching materials. Second, the results of the validation analysis show that the resultant inquiry-based teaching materials are at a very valid level with a value of 82.78.]]>

<![CDATA[Science lessons in junior high school are conducted in an integrated manner according to the mandate of the 2013 curriculum. Integrated IPA learning incorporates several subject from various fields of study of Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Reality at school indicatesthat the veterinary defender has not been applied optimally the IPA materials.One of the integrated science lesson students connercetd type and living being. The purpose of this research is to invertigate the effect of the book of students integrated scienceconnected type with theme of blood fluid on learning outcomes learner SMPN 8 Padang. This type research is a quasi-experimental research. The from a research design will be used is the static group comparison. Population in this research is all students of class VIII SMPN 8 Padang. Sampling in this research by purposive sampling technique.The data in this study were analyzed, aquality two everaging test and t- test then tested the determination of the influence of independent variables for both aspects of competence. The results showed that the average value of knowledge in the experimental class was 8 higher than the control class . The average results of class experimental class were higher than control class namely, 84,84 and 80,78.Thues the use of books of natural csience students withconnected type with the theme of blood fluid has a significant influence on the competence of knowledge and skills of grade VIII students.]]>

<![CDATA[One of the most important learning tools in 2013 Curriculum to support Basic Competence skill is student’s worksheet But in reality, many schools that have not optimized the lab activities in school because there is no complete student’s worksheet in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. Therefore, the curriculum should be designed in accordance with the demands of 2013 Curriculum. In this case the designed curriculum is in the form of virtual laboratory that are accessed through ICT. The advantages of virtual laboratory-based student’s worksheet can improve the mastery of abstract physical concepts. The purpose of this research is to produce student’s worksheet design based on virtual laboratory through ICT. Research conducted including the type of Research and development (R & D) with the appropriate steps proposed by Sugiyono. The object of the research is student’s worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT on wave matter, optics, and global warming of class XI SMA. Based on the analysis of data obtained obtained two research results. First, the design of student’s worksheet based on virtual laboratory. Second, the result of validity for student’s worksheet based on virtual laboratory with result of average validity value is 90,19. This shows that the student’s worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT on the material of light and global warming is valid to be used in Physics learning in SMA XI class.]]>

<![CDATA[The result of physiscs learning of XI class MIPA students at MAN 2 Padang was not yet fulfilled the expectation, seen in the student score that has not fulfilled the minimum completeness criterion (KKM) that determined. The purpose of this research is to see if there is influence of scientifically based on LKPD using discovery learning model to physics learning result. The type of research used is quasi experiment using randomized control-group only design. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Sampling of data is limited to two domains of learning result that is knowledge and skill aspect with written test instrument in the from of a multiple choice question on knowledge aspect and performance instrument by using a scoring rubric on skill aspect. The result of the analysis shows that rhe average of experimental class for the learning outcomes in the knowledge and skill aspect is higher than the class control. The result of the analysis show that the average of experimental class fot the learning outcomes is the knowledge and skills aspect is higher than the class control. It can be concluded that the use of scientific-based LKPD using discovery learning model has a significant influence on the student’s physics learning result of XI class MAN 2 Padang. ]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by a change in curriculum by the progress of education from time to time. One of the facilities in curriculum is a textbook. In the lesson textbooks used must contain the required curriculum structure such as excellence potential, local wisdom and regional needs. One form of local wisdom and regional needs, namely knowledge or understanding of disasters that can be understood through textbooks. Suitable subjects to be integrated with disaster material are IPA. Where, Indonesia is a tropical country that is prone to disasters such as threat of lightning. Science subjects are one subjects that is very suitable to be integrated with knowledge about lightning. This study aims to determine the level of suitability of the science material with the curriculum objectives in science lesson textbooks for SMP/MTs class IX semester 1 and to determine the suitability of the science material in the science textbook of SMP/MTs class IX semester 1 with lightning material. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population of the data in this study is all grade IX textbooks for SMP/MTs in semester 1 from various publishers in Indonesia and the data samples in this study are class IX books of semester 1 published by publisher 1 and publisher 2. The research data was taken using research instruments with data collection techniques through documentation studies. The results of the study showed that the level of suitability of the Science material with the curriculum objectives in the science grade textbooks of grade IX SMP/MTs semester 1 from publisher 1 with the appropriate criteria (82,294%). Whereas in the subject textbooks publisher 2 with sufficient criteria (72%). Then the level of suitability of the Natural Science material in the grade IX textbooks for SMP/MTs in semester 1 with lightning material for Chapter 1is not appropriate, Chapter 2 is not appropriate, Chapter 3 is not appropriate, Chapter 4 is not appropriate and Chapter 2 is appropriate.]]>

<![CDATA[Science competence of grade VIII students in junior high school 3 Lembah Gumanti has not shown optimal result. One solution that can be used to improve student’s science competence is by using teaching materials that support the learning process and assist students in developing their thinking skills. The teaching material used in this research is student worksheet oriented interactive demonstration approach. This type of research is Quasi Experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this research is students of grade VIII in junior high school 3 Lembah Gumanti which registered in the academic year 2016/2017. Sampling is done by Purposive Sampling technique. Research data includes knowledge competence, attitude and skills. The results of data analysis indicate that student worksheet oriented interactive demonstration approach gives a significant influence on the competence of knowledge and attitude but does not give a significant influence on skill competence.]]>

<![CDATA[The importance of evaluating school learning outcomes is one of the curriculum changes to achieve the successful implementation of the 2013 curriculum. evaluation is often done in terms of knowledge, so that learning outcomes tests can be used as evaluation tools. The tests which are used in the process of evaluating learning outcomes made by educators themselves or originated from educator guidebooks and question banks. Based on the results of interview with several educators, they have not believed yet that the questions given reflect the actual measuring instrument, so a problem analysis is needed. Therefore, making a test analysis application assisted with the PHP programming language can be a solution to this problem. This study aims to make a valid and practical test analysis application on physics learning assisted by a PHP programming language. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the conclusion of this study is the application of test analysis has been produced on physics learning assisted by a very valid PHP programming language with an average of 81 and very practical according to some educators with an average of 88.8.]]>

<![CDATA[Based on the curriculum of 2013 science learning at school is implemented in an integrated manner using a scientific approach or scientific process-based approach. Integrated science learning connects physical, chemical and biological material because these three materials cannot be separated. The reality at schools shows that integrated science learning is still carried out separately and lack of student understanding in integrating science materials. The solution to this problem is to apply the Integrated Science Student Model Book Networked with the Heart Electricity Theme. This resesarch aims to investigate the influence of integrated science book modeled network students with the theme of heart electricity to the mastery of science material for students at class VIII MTsN 6 model Padang. The type of research conducted is a quasi-experimental research design with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research. The population in this research were all students at class VIII MTsN 6 model Padang registered in the 2017/2018 academic year. Sampling in the research was carried out with purposive sampling and cluster random sampling techniques. The sample in this resesarch is class VIII.1 as an experimental class of 36 peoples. The research instrument consists of a test sheet of learning outcomes to assess aspects of knowledge, a performance assessment sheet to assess aspects of student skills and students' self-evaluation sheets. The data in this research were analyzed using descriptive analysis, simple linear regression, and product moment correlation test at a significance level of 0.05 for both aspects of competence. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is obtained data for aspects of knowledge, and skills. The results of data analysis showed that the average post-test value was higher than the average value of the pre-test, namely 81.39> 49.03. In knowledge competence the coefficient of determination is 13.64%. In the skill competence, the determination coefficient value is 13.63%. Quantitatively, the working hypothesis that reads "There is an influence which means the use of integrated science students' book networked model with the the heart electricity theme to the science material mastery of students at class VIII MTsN 6 Model Padang" can be accepted at a significant level of 0.05. Mastery of students' science materials can also be seen from the results of the self-evaluation sheet filled by students who stated that they understood more than 65% of the material they had learned. Thus, the use of integrated science students 'book networked model with the heart electricity theme influences the student mastery material on aspects of knowledge and skills.]]>

<![CDATA[In 2013 curriculum, the science learning was carried out in an integrated form. In the school of science learning conditions hasn’t been successful in implementing the integrated learning. A solution to this problem is the integrated science worksheet by integrating digital age literacy. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of integrated science student worksheet by integrating literacy on competency of grade VIII students. The type of research conducted was a quasi experiment with before-after design. The population in this research were all students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 13 Padang Academic Year 2017/2018. The sample in the research was grade VIII 2 which was obtained by purposive sampling technique. Research instruments for knowledge was written test, observation sheet for attitude aspect and performance assessment sheet forskillsaspects. Data analysis were statistical descriptive analysis and correlated comparision test. The results of this research are the use of integrated student worksheet by integraty digital age literacy gives significant effect on competency of student including, attitude, knowledge, and skill aspects at 95% confidence level. Thus, the use of Integrated science student worksheetby integrity digital age literacy is effective in science approach on grade VIII SMP Negeri 13 Padang. ]]>
