Abstract

Education is a fundamental foundation for human life. In every educational development, there is always a change in the curriculum. The 2013 curriculum requires HOTS-based learning. In the 2013 curriculum, students must practice thinking skills at the HOTS level by giving HOTS questions. Because, the teacher must provide students with HOTS questions. The observations show that the questions used in Senior High Schools throughout West Pasaman District are still in the low category and do not meet the excellent proportion of questions. Therefore, an indicator analysis research was carried out on Physics questions for SMAN in West Pasaman District. This research includes descriptive research is includes in the qualitative approach. With population of this research is about Midterm Exam and Semester Exam Senior High Schools in 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 in semesters 1 and 2 in West Pasaman District. The research data was taken using an analytical instrument of question presentation and data collection with proof of questions.  From the research has been done, it was found that the questions that have the highest availability of HOTS indicators for Semester Exam between 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 are in class XI and XII Semester Exam in 2018/2019 while in class X, namely in 2019/2020. As for the Midterm Exam in using the HOTS questions, the highest is Senior High School 1 Pasaman, and the lowest is Senior High School 1 Gunung Tuleh. Based on the research that has been done, it is found that these questions do not meet the availability of HOTS questions.

Abstract

                Indonesia is prone to landslides. Analysis of the level of suitability of high school physics material with landslide material is important because not all physics material can be integrated with landslide material. Until now, it is not known the level of conformity of high school physics material with landslide material for at least one semester. This study aims to determine the level of suitability of high school physics material with landslide material. This type of research is a descriptive research and uses a qualitative approach. The population used is all material which is a field of physics study and the sample is Physics material for SMA/MA curriculum 2013. The instrument of this research is an analysis sheet of the suitability of Physics material with Landslide material in the form of tables and data collection techniques through documentation studies. The results showed that the physics material for class X semester 1 was in the very appropriate category and semester 2 was in the very appropriate category, the physics material for class XI semester 1 was in the quite appropriate category, the physics material for class XI semester 2 was in the very appropriate category, physics material for class XI semester 2 was in the very appropriate category. class XII semester 1 and semester 2 are in the inappropriate category. This research implies that physics material with a very suitable category to be integrated with landslide material is easy to develop into a physics book integrated with landslide material.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to encourage students to be able the 21 st century skills consist critical thinking, creativ thinking, communicaton, and collaboratively. To achieve this, teacher must practice using learning strategies with an orientation to train students to be able have 4C skills. This relates to the learning component that must be prepared by the teacher such as teaching materials. The aim of research was conducted to study the availability of the 4C component at physics worksheets of senior high school for XII. The population of data in this study were physics worksheets class XII made by teacher.The samples in this research are fourth Physics worksheets made by physics teacher. The data in this study were taken using physics worksheets presentation analysis instrument with the data analysis technique is a content study and data collection techniques through documentation studies. Based on the analysis result, it can be concluded the analysis of the Physics Worsheets at Senior High School for XII related to availability of the 4C component shows that physics worksheets who obtained a percentage with the fulfillment of the indicator on the highest 4C component is critical thinking indicators obtained a score 59% with category enough facilitated and the lower is collaboration get a score 42,71%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the availability of critical thinking skills indicators in physics textbooks for grade X semester one high-school physics used in Padang. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data population in this study was all physics textbooks for Grade X semester 1 used in senior high schools in Padang. The research sample is the three physics textbooks that are most widely used in senior high schools in Padang. The data in this study were taken using critical thinking indicator analysis instruments in physics textbooks for grade X SMA with data collection techniques through documentation studies. Based on the results of the analysis of critical thinking skills indicators in the physics textbook for grade X semester 1, it was found that the physics textbook written by Marthen Kanginan published by Erlangga has the highest level of availability of critical thinking skills indicators with a percentage of 51.6% in the available category. In contrast, physics textbooks written by Aris Prasetyo Nugroho et al. and published by Mediatama have the lowest availability of critical thinking skills indicators with 29.6% with the less available category.

Abstract

In the revised 2013 curriculum, students are required to have skills that fit the challenges of the 21st century. To train these skills is to apply the right model in learning, namely the guided inquiry model. The availability of guided inquiry models in learning can be seen from the lesson plans. All lesson plan at public high schools has not been identified whether they have a guided inquiry model. Therefore, this research aims to find out the availability of guided inquiry models in lesson plan Physics grade XI Semester 1 in high schools. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population data in this study are all lesson plan Physics High School grade XI semester I used by 15 districts in West Sumatra. The samples in this study were lesson plan Physics in high schools grade XI Semester I from 7 schools created by teachers. Based on the research that has been done, the availability of the guided inquiry model in lesson plan physics grade XI semester 1 obtained the results of the analysis that lesson plan with the highest availability category is lesson plan 3 with a percentage of 83.3% in very available category. The lesson plan with the lowest availability is lesson plan 1 and lesson plan 6 with a percentage of 16.67% in the unavailable category. Thus, it can be concluded that the availability of the guided inquiry model in the lesson plans for grade XI semester 1 is categorized as sufficient available.

Abstract

 This study aimed to see the effect of using CTL-based learning videos on science communication skills and student collaboration in class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Gido. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. This study uses Class X MIA 2 as the sample class. The data were obtained by using the observation sheet of science communication skills and student collaboration. The results showed that there was an increase in the value of students' science communication skills and collaboration. The posttest score of students' science communication skills was 80.8 and the pretest score was 49.6. The posttest score of students' collaboration ability was 83.8 and the pretest score was 58.2. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a positive effect of using CTL-based learning videos on the science communication skills and collaboration of Class X MIA students of SMA Negeri 1 Gido.

Abstract

Revolution 4.0 has changed the demands of the world of education a lot. The national education system expects students to develop the potential for thinking in order to keep up with the times. K-13 is used as a solution to answer it so that learning combines the dimensions of knowledge and cognitive processes. Overcome, real conditions found that the learning materials in balance and rotational dynamics used in schools didn’t meet the scope of the dimensions of knowledge and cognitive processes as expected. One solution to this problem is to develop learning materials oriented to the dimensions of knowledge and cognitive processes in balance and rotational dynamics. The purpose of this research is to develop and determine the validity of the dimensions of knowledge and cognitive processes on teaching materials in balance and rotational dynamics for high school physics learning. The type of research is Research and Development by taking the ADDIE model which is reduced to the development stage. The subjects are 3 physics lecturers UNP and 3 physics teachers from SMAN 2, 4, and 12 Kerinci with the object being teaching materials consisting of lesson plans, textbook, and evaluation instruments. The results of data analysis obtained of validity values on lesson plans, textbook, and evaluation instruments according to lecturers and teachers respectively with a score 84,67% and 94,58%. Overall teaching materials get an average score 89,63% in very valid category and can be continued with field tests to determine its practicality and effectiveness in high school physics learning.

Abstract

Students do not understand concepts and misconceptions occur in momentum and impulses. Less available teaching materials that can remediate misconceptions. This study aims to design cognitive conflict-based teaching materials that integrate video analysis of real experiments to improve students' conceptual understanding of momentum and impulses. This research is a development research using the Plomp model. In the preliminary research, journal analysis, interviews with physics teachers, and literature studies were conducted. At the prototyping stage, teaching materials are designed, self-evaluation is carried out, validation by 3 lecturers and one-to-one practicality test for 3 students. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis for interviews, the Aiken-V formula for validation and percentage techniques for practicality tests. The results of the preliminary research, it was found that students' understanding of concepts was low and there were still misconceptions, the unavailability of teaching materials that corrected misconceptions. The results of the prototyping stage, momentum and impulse teaching materials were designed based on four syntaxes of cognitive conflict-based learning model (CCBL Model). In the third syntax, real-experiment video analysis is integrated using the tracker program. The results of the self-evaluation showed that the teaching materials were complete with very good criteria. The results of the validation test obtained a very valid value of 0.81. The results of the practicality test obtained a very practical value of 90.27. So, the design of cognitive conflict-based teaching materials integrating video analysis of real experiments on momentum and impulses is very valid and practical in one-on-one evaluation

Abstract

    This meta-analysis study aims to analyze the effect size of the use of the jigsaw cooperative model based on education level, material units, and aspects of learning outcomes including knowledge, attitudes, and skills.  The research method used is a meta-analysis of 25 articles that have been published in various national and international journals and proceedings. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The use of the type cooperative model jigsaw in improving learning outcomes based on education level, more have an effect on the high school level; (2) The use of the jigsaw type cooperative model in improve learning outcome based on material units, more influential on units optics and thermodynamics material for high school level and affect the unit thermodynamics and vibration & wave materials for junior high school level; (3) The use of the type cooperative model jigsaw in improving learning outcomes has an effect on aspects of attitude, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

The development of 21st century skills can be done through the discipline of physics. Physics learning in schools has a central role in providing learners with 21st century skills. One of the lessons that can develop students' skills and stimulate students to be active and creative is learning with a science process skills approach. The learning process involves more students acting more actively, as well as managing findings derived from aspects of skills. From the initial studies conducted it was found that students' science process skills in online learning to have a variety of problems. One alternative to problem solving is to develop electronic modules (e-modules) to improve students' process skills. The methodology used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). The model used is the R&D research model according to Sugiyono in 2012. The object of this research is the e-module vibration in everyday life in online learning. The data collection instrument used was a practicality questionnaire. The practicality test instrument consists of four components, it is usability, ease of use, attractiveness, and clarity. The results of the practicality assessment were analyzed based on the interpretation criteria of the scores obtained. Based on the research objectives and data analysis carried out, it was obtained the average value of e-module practicality which was developed according to the teacher, which was 94.5 in the very good category and the average value of e-module practicality according to the students got a value of 90.5 in very good category.
