Abstract

Objective of this research is to determine  the effect of using ICT in worksheet based STS to learning outcomes of 7th grade students in SMPN 1 Padang. Type of this research is quasi-experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. All of 7th grade students in SMPN 1 Padang in academic year 2012/2103 as population of this research. Data of this research was data of learning outcomes.The data was analyzed by the mean equality test. Based on analyzis of data, we can conclude that there was using ICT in worksheet based STS give significance effect to learning outcome of 7th grade students in SMPN 1 Padang for cognitive domains at significance level 5%, but there was no significance effect for affective and psychomotor domains at significance level 5%. Abstract

The achievement of physics learning in junior high school shows an unoptimal results. There are some factors which make such as used method is still “teacher centered”, inactive student in learning because teacher only gives the materials without communication between teacher and student, at least for establishment of skill and character values. ​​Application of cooperative learning model can be used as an alternative to solve this problem. The cooperative model which integrated for character is able to improve the competence of student. This research to find out effect of cooperative model application which is integrating character education for the compenten achievement of students learning in MTsN Kubang Putih. The research type is pre-experiment by program "Randomized Control Group Design Only". This population of reseach are eighth grade students of second semester in MTsN Kubang Putih which is sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. Data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and test the equality of two on average. The results shows is the working hypothesis which says, "the application of cooperative model which is integrating character education has effect for the result achievement of competence physics learning by eighth grade of MTsN Kubang putih" can be accepted on the real standart of 0.05. Abstract

Abstract – Integration of character values in learning process are important to reach the purpose of national learning. One solution to integrate the character values in learning process through worksheet based on ICT. The purpose of this research is to produce worksheet based on ICT in Physics subject that integrate of character value  that valid, practice, and effective to use in Physics learning process. Object of this research is worksheet based on ICT integrate education character value. The instruments are used to collect the data in this research are: validity sheet, practicality sheet, learning outcome test sheet, and observation character value sheet. Based on analyze of the data, there are four result of this research. First, worksheet has high validation score 84.55. Second, design worksheet based on ICT consist of home, introduction, competence, worksheet, evaluation, and download. Third, the value of practicality of worksheet based on ICT according to teachers and students are 81,81 and 88,28. Abstract

Bilingual video tutorial media is an effort to create the concept of self-learning in students. For it has done research on the development of instructional media in the form of bilingual video tutorial for learning physics high school students of SMAN 3 Padang in class XI IPA 7. Type of research is research & development conducted through several steps. The first, bilingual video tutorial media validated by experts. Second, product revision, and the third is done product testing on high school students of class XI IPA 7. From the results, the average value of the validity of bilingual video tutorial media design for learning physics students was 87.17, the average value of the practicalities of media was 88.25%, and the value of the effectiveness of the use of bilingual video tutorial media that obtained from the the result of thitung of student's pre test and post test was 16.38. This proves that the bilingual video tutorial media is valid, practical, and effective as learning resources for students to create the concept of self-learning in students. Abstract

The background of this research is low of students learning outcome. This is caused bylack of students interest for reading books and learning sources. Moreover, students are not really competent to solve physics problem in daily lifeOne of the ways to solve this problem is by applying learning model which can improve students reading interest. Therefore, a research has been implemented about application of students worksheet comic view on Problem Base Instruction (PBI) learning in grade VIII SMPN 3 Bukittinggi. Populations of quasi experiment research which design randomized control group only design are all of students grade VIII inthat is registered in academic years 2012/2013. Sample of research is selected by Cluster Random Sampling technique. Abstract

Student learning outcomes for the physics lesson still has not appropriate with expected. One of the cause is of applying teaching materials of physics still not integrating character values. The aim of this research is to see the influence of implementation teaching materials of physics which is integrating character values on dynamic electricity concept in cooperative learning type STAD towards students learning outcome grade X SMA N 4 Padang. Type of research is quasi experimental research. The population in this study were all students of grade X SMA N 4 Padang listed in the 2nd half of the school year 2012/2013. Sample of research is selected by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using the t test on the real level of 0.05 obtained results that there are the influence of implementation teaching materials of physics which is integrating character values on dynamic electricity concept in cooperative learning type STAD towards students learning outcome grade X SMA N 4 Padang. Abstract

One form of the problems faced by students while studying physics matter is the lack of ability of students to associate with the subject matter of technology and society. To overcome these problems, researcher made the form of teaching materials Student Worksheet based on the concept of Science Technology Society of heat and energy conservation principles. Type of research done including the type of Research and Development (R & D). The collection instruments used in the study is the validity of the sheet according to expert staffs, the practicalities of test pieces according to physics teachers, the practicalities of test sheet according to students, test effectiveness by student learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Products and data analysis techniques are described techniques, methods graphic, descriptive statistical analysis, and comparative analysis correlated. Data analysis show two results. First, it has been successfully created worksheets science technology-based society with an attractive design worksheets. Second, Student Worksheet made ​​valid, practical and effective use in teaching physics, in addition, the worksheet can improve student learning outcomes.   Keywords : Student worksheet, STM, learning outcomes

Abstract

Learning material can support the learning process in the classroom. It can be used to reach the purpose of learning. One solution to support the learning process through physics learning materials based on website. The purpose of this research is to produce good description, validity, practicality, and effectivity of physics learning material based on Website in concept of Thermodynamics. Object of this research is physics learning material based on website in concept of Thermodynamics and second grade students of  Senior High School. The instruments are used to collect the data in this research are: validity sheet, practicality sheet, and learning outcome test sheet. There are four result of this research based on analyze of the data. First, Physics learning materials based on website has high validity score 83.54. Second, design Physics learning material based on website consist of introduction, competence, objectives, contents, competence test, evaluation, reference, chat and forum. Third, the value of practicality of Physics learning material based on website according to teacher and students each other  89,51 and 75,89. Finally, Physics learning material based on website in concept of Thermodynamics effectives to increase learning outcomes of students. Abstract

The Physics learning outcomes of students in Junior High School still has not optimal. This condition is caused by guidance and attention from teacher not optimal. Cooperative learning model type Group Investigation can improve the interaction between students and teacher. The earning process can be supplemented by worksheet for investigation. Therefore, the aim of this research to know  the effect of Cooperative Learning model type Group Investigation with worksheet on Physics learning outcomes students VII Grade Junior High School. Population of quasi experiment research is student VII Grade in SMPN 8 Padang which registered in the academic year 2012/2013. The design of this research is Randomized Control Group Only Design. Sampling techniques that used is Cluster Random Sampling. Data were obtained through a written test for the cognitive, observation for affective domain, the observation group work for psychomotor domains and analyzed by testing the equality of two on average. The research shows there is an influence of Cooperative learning model type Group Investigation which supplemented by worksheet investigation towards learning outcome of students of Seventh Grade at SMPN 8 Padang in significant level 0.05. Abstract

Interactive Compact Disk (CD)  is one of teaching media that can be used by physics teacher to teach abstract concept like heat and temperature. There are some of the Heat and Temperature concept is abstract, such as the flow of heat on conduction and convecton process that difficult by the student to learn it optimally if only use the printing media. We can make the animation of the abstract concept by using CD interactive, to make the comprehension of the student to Heat and Temperature concept can be optimally. The aim of this research are to product teaching media as interactive CD which has high validity, practicality, and effectivity. This interactive CD will used by senior high school student grade X in physics learning. The type of the Research and Development (R & D). Instrument of research are used form of validity, student and teacher’s response for practicality, effectivity form, and pretest and postest result. Interactive CD are made using Powerpoint software for heat and temperature material. The value of validity is 89, 53 that mean this interactive CD is very valid. Teacher’s respons value is 100 that show this interactive CD is very practice. Student’s respons value is 89 2 that show this interactive CD is very practice in use by students. This interactive CD is very effective that show by effectivity value (89,42) and increasing of postes value 45,28 to be 70,88.   Keywords: Interactive CD, Powerpoint, Heat and Temperature
