Abstract

This study aims to find out information related to the needs of interactive multimedia with a contextual approach as a science learning media. This research is a research and development that refers to the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observations, and interviews and relevant literature studies. The population in this study is SMP Negeri 1 Jember. The samples in this study were 80 students of class VII and teachers of natural science subjects. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study were obtained that the learning media used are still limited to textbooks and worksheets and there is no use of interactive multimedia so it is necessary to do interactive multimedia development on natural science materials especially environmental pollution materials that are appropriate to the needs of students in order to achieve learning objectives. Based on this it can be concluded that interactive multimedia with a contextual approach is needed to be developed in natural science subjects.

Abstract

This research aims to develop worthy (in terms of validity and practicality) Electronic Student Worksheets (E-Worksheet) based project using FlipHTML5 in light interference topic. E-Worksheet developed to stimulate student’s science process skills. This research used design and development research (DDR) which consisted of 4 stages, namely analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The results of the product validity were assessed by experts consisting of two high school physics teachers and a lecturer from the physics education department of the University of Lampung who got an average score of 3.56 with the very valid category. The E-Worksheet practicality in terms of the legibility, the student views that was completed by 9 students, and the teacher views that was completed by 5 high school physics teachers got an average percentage of 90% with the very practical category. These results showed that E-Worksheet were valid and very practical to stimulate student’s science process skills. Based on teacher views, the E-Worksheet is very possible to be implemented in online and face-to-face learning especially in the covid-19 pandemic era. The E-Worksheet can be used as multimedia to support online learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest in student learning in science subjects, especially class VII Biology material which assumes that Biology material is identical to a lot of writing in books and contains a lot of memorization, educators have not used school facilities to develop learning media and minimal teaching materials are only in the form of worksheets. Students are not interested in learning science. The school is a pesantrenbased school, where students only get information from the LKS and the material delivered by the teacher. One of the interesting learning media is the booklet- based science learning media. This study aims to determine the validity of booklet media and student responses to booklet media. The type of research used is Research and Development which refers to the 4D development model (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination) from S. Thiangarajan (1974) which has been modified into 3D. The results showed that the results of the material expert validation obtained a percentage of 92%; media experts obtained a percentage of 97.77%; by science teachers obtained a percentage of 100%. Small-scale trials obtained a percentage of 91.06% and large-scale trials obtained a percentage of 92.72%. This it can be concluded that the booklet- based science learning media on the material of the interaction of living things with their environment is valid to be used as a media for learning science biology in class VII MTs / SMP

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the problem based learning model of learning on students' ability to solve science problems at SMPN 1 Siman Ponorogo. That is because PBL learning models that take advantage of real-world (contextual) problems will provide opportunities for students to hone, grow, and improve their ability to solve science problems so that they can be applied in dealing with problems in daily life. This study uses a quantitative approach. This research method is quasi experimental design and the type of research used is experimental research with a non-equivalent group design experimental design. Data collection was performed using posttest questions which were then analyzed using inferential statistical data analysis techniques. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Siman. The sample in this study was class VIII A as an experimental class and Class VIII B as a control class. From the study obtained post test results which showed that the class with a problem based learning model through a contextual approach had a higher average value when compared to the class using conventional methods, namely 84.54 and 50.45. Hypothesis test results obtained tcount> ttable is 11.747> 1.681, so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. From these calculations it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the Problem Based Learning model through a contextual approach to the ability to solve science problems of Grade VIII students at SMPN 1 Siman Ponorogo.

Abstract

This study aims  to determine the validity of the development of website-based science learning media on invertebrate animal material for grade 7 in Junior High School, and to determine student responses to the development of website-based science learning media on invertebrate animal material. This research was a type of R&D (Research and Development) research which refers to the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development research model of Robert Maribe Branch. The data collection instruments in this study were validation questionnaires and student response questionnaires. Validation was carried out by material experts, media experts, and science teachers. The development trial to determine student responses to the developed product was carried out in two stages, namely a small-scale trial consisting of 6 students and a large-scale trial consisting of 32 students. Based on the results of validation from experts on website-based science learning media, it showed that the assessment of material experts was 96.16%, media expert assessments was 89.12% and assessments from science teachers was 89.83% . In this case, the average percentage of the expert's assessment was 91.70%, which means it was included in the "Very Valid" category and tested on students, and Small-scale trials obtained an average percentage of 94.28%. Then continued large-scale trials and obtained an average percentage of 92.00%. which means “Very Interesting”.

Abstract

Good learning is learning that combines approach with an appropriate learning model. The study is done to know the implementation of a learning model with a approach to students' metacognitive thinking ability. The study is conducted with a quantitative experiment, with qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques, using the distinctive quasi design using the research of one group pretest and posttest design. Data gathering instruments are a matter of written tests with multiple choisters, angkets and products design. Using a quantitative descriptive and statistic using a try-t two tailed and one tailed that previously had done normality and homogeneity tests. From research that has been done indicates levels for extr-36.25 so it can be concluded that the experimental class has a better methangnitiver thinking ability than the control class. Next up is the angket results with a solution for.30.75 so that it can be concluded that the experiment class has a better ability than the control class. The next test results with incentives for 16.19 so it can be concluded that experiment classes have better abilities than control class. The impact of research that has been done is as a footing and a referencing model selection with the right approach particularly in improving metacognitive thinking ability.
