Abstract

This study examines the impact of visual search features on decision-making among soccer players, specifically analyzing the different search strategies employed based on athletes' skill levels. The research aims to understand how athletes at varying levels use visual cues to enhance decision-making during gameplay. To achieve this, a comprehensive review of relevant literature from domestic and international databases was conducted, selecting studies based on predefined inclusion criteria to extract data and analyze the visual characteristics of athletes across skill levels. The findings reveal that high-level athletes exhibit faster reaction times, are better at extracting critical information from key areas of interest, and that their psychological state influences reaction time. High-level athletes possess response templates for sports scenarios, leading to shorter gaze durations, fewer fixations, and quicker gaze transitions. These athletes also show a more extensive eye movement range, which allows for the collection of more information and, through long-term training, enhances the efficiency of their information-processing strategies. Consequently, high-level athletes demonstrate optimized visual search strategies compared to novice players, resulting in more accurate and rational decision-making during gameplay. The study recommends further developing visual training programs to support novice athletes in improving their information processing and decision-making capabilities, which could ultimately bridge the gap between skill levels and enhance performance

Abstract

Since the 1980s, repeated national surveys in China have raised persistent concerns regarding the physical health of adolescents, highlighting a significant decline in their overall fitness. Adolescents' physical health is essential for their well-being and is a critical foundation for the nation’s sustainable development and the effective functioning of its social structure. However, various factors, including changes in lifestyle, educational pressures, and social dynamics, have contributed to the deterioration of adolescents' physical health. Addressing this issue requires a comprehensive understanding of the interrelated social components influencing health outcomes. This study adopts the theoretical framework of structural functionalism to investigate the role of critical social structures—family, school, and society—in shaping adolescents' physical health. The research explores adolescents' complex challenges by analyzing how these functional systems interact and identifying their limitations. The study also evaluates the coordination between these systems and identifies potential pathways to optimize their roles in promoting better health outcomes. Key findings reveal gaps in parental guidance, inadequate school-based physical education programs, and societal neglect of holistic adolescent development. The study emphasizes better alignment and collaboration among families, schools, and societal institutions to address these issues effectively. The research concludes by offering policy recommendations and practical strategies to improve the physical health of adolescents, ultimately aiming to strengthen social stability and drive sustainable development. The insights generated will inform policymakers, educators, and community leaders about fostering a healthier, more resilient younger generation

Abstract

Educational equity (EE), including China, has become a critical issue in global education policies. Implementing the "double reduction" (DR) policy poses significant challenges in ensuring equitable access to quality education while reducing students' academic burdens and regulating excessive supplementary education. This study aims to explore the critical trends in EE research within the framework of the DR policy using bibliometric methods. By employing CiteSpace software, this study conducts a visual analysis of 779 documents retrieved from the Peking University Core Journals and CSSCI databases. The analysis applies various bibliometric techniques, including author co-occurrence, institutional collaboration, keyword co-occurrence, and keyword clustering, to uncover the key themes and developmental trajectories of domestic research in this field. The findings reveal that the Department of Education has emerged as a central driver of EE research under the DR policy. Key research clusters focus on critical themes such as stakeholder competition, endogenous development, public educational services, academic achievement, and value dimensions. These clusters highlight the diverse and evolving nature of EE research in China. Based on these findings, this study recommends that future research should (1) deepen the evaluation and optimization of educational policies to enhance equity, (2) expand the scope of EE research by exploring new dimensions, particularly in the integration of digital technology, and (3) advance the understanding of how educational technology can support equitable access to educational services. These insights provide a foundation for addressing emerging challenges in pursuing educational equity

Abstract

This clinical portrait investigates the implementation of a relationship-based musical intervention (RBMI) for a 9-year-old girl diagnosed with Neurodevelopmental Disorder and Visual Impairment in a school setting. Despite the growing body of research highlighting the effectiveness of music therapy across various populations, its application in the context of special education remains limited. Existing studies indicate that music interventions can positively impact individuals with developmental disorders, fostering improvements in communication, social interaction, and emotional well-being (Cibrian et al., 2020; Imankhah et al., 2018; Jacob & Pillay, 2021; Thompson & McFerran, 2015). However, further clinical exploration is essential to substantiate these claims with robust evidence. The RBMI approach in this study leveraged a therapeutic alliance to enhance the participant’s engagement with music and support her social, communicational, and visual development. A qualitative methodology utilized diverse data collection techniques, including field notes, reflective journals, and artistic responses. These tools facilitated an in-depth understanding of the participant’s progress and the nuanced dynamics of the therapeutic relationship. Findings from the study revealed that the therapeutic relationship catalyzed the participant’s positive engagement with the music-based intervention. The natural progression of this alliance fostered meaningful interactions, which contributed to notable advancements in her social and communicative abilities. Based on these results, the study recommends the integration of RBMI within particular education frameworks to enhance developmental outcomes for children with disabilities. Future research should aim to expand on these findings by incorporating larger participant samples and longitudinal assessments

Abstract

The Pancasila Rahmatan lil Alamin Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5PPRA) represents a key initiative of the Merdeka Curriculum to foster students' competencies and character development through a project-based learning approach. This study explores the implementation of the P5PPRA program at MAN Grobogan Regency, focusing on students’ social construction of gender roles and inclusion, analyzed from the perspective of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI). The study also evaluates how the GESI framework supports gender equality and social inclusion within the madrasah setting. The study employed data collection techniques using a qualitative research design, including in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and direct observations. Research participants included students, teachers, and madrasah administrators from MAN 1 Grobogan and MAN 2 Grobogan. The findings reveal that the P5PPRA program provides equitable opportunities for student participation, reflecting a positive step toward inclusion. However, entrenched gender stereotypes continue to shape the division of roles in project groups. Male students predominantly assume technical or physical tasks, while female students are more often relegated to administrative responsibilities. This pattern highlights the persistent influence of societal gender norms on students' social construction. GESI implementation within the two madrasahs demonstrates significant progress in ensuring accessibility and participation for all students. Nonetheless, challenges remain in fostering an entirely equitable and inclusive environment, particularly in the balanced allocation of roles and responsibilities. To address this, future initiatives should incorporate targeted strategies to dismantle gender norms and enhance inclusive practices across all project activities
