Jurnal Metalanguage adalah jurnal ilmiah yang memuat artikel-artikel bidang bahasa dan sastra Indonesia yang berasal dari hasil penelitian, telaah ilmiah dan kajian pustaka yang ditambah dengan penerapan pemikiran pada kasus-kasus tertentu. Ruang lingkup topik meliputi: 1) Bahasa Indonesia untuk Orang Asing, Bahasa Indonesia, Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia; (2) Linguistik; (3) Linguistik Terapan, dan; (4) Kajian Filsafat Bahasa (5) Ilmu dan Pengajaran Sastra. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the ideological spectrum in the self-naming of the nationalist society with a strategic view. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with listening, note-taking, and elicitation techniques. Sources of research data are obtained from nationalist groups based on national movement organizations and nationalist party activists. The data in this study are the family names of national movement organizations and nationalist party activistsThe result of this study is that the naming of children is influenced by the ideological awareness, feeling, and memory of parents. The ideological spectrum of parents or family greatly influences the naming of themselves for their children, grandchildren, and other descendants. The majority of national groups name their children with ideological nuances with the intention of lowering the spirit, ideals, and hoping that the child will continue the ideals of his parents. It could also be that the child's fighting spirit is in line with the ideological nationalist figure who became his son's name

Abstract

Learning reading results in a disappointment for many EFL learners. They get a problem to understand the passage about. It seems that they do not have a sufficient vocabulary list and constructing sentence ability. They faced a problem in the situational and cultural contexts. The mastery of the two contexts leads students to gain a make meaning. It is a way to assist the students to understand the text and to write sentences. To help the students cope with their difficulties, analyzing a novel is promising. By analyzing the text, the students learn to build vocabulary and sentences. It is part of the situational context. This research used a novel “I am a Prodigy” as the data to be analyzed. Analyzing that kind of data is implementing cultural context. It applies the situational context into a written product. To analyze the content of the text, a rubric was applied. The postmodernist viewpoints are the categories used in the rubric. The result of the analysis was the detailed description of semantically and pragmatically to interpret the words and sentences in the text. It builds the students’ vocabulary and syntax knowledge. It means that it can build the readers’ competence in a situational context. Furthermore, in commenting on the data, it leads them to develop their cultural context. This kind of result is very beneficial for the students and teachers to enhance the teaching-learning reading process in the classroom. It also inspires the other researchers to develop it some further

Abstract

Each individual has various characteristics. Therefore, the way a person behaves, judges, and thinks and learns is also different. The differences that persist in each individual in how to process information and organize it from experiences are called cognitive styles. Some cases that often occur in learning activities are that students find it difficult to understand the subject matter and students are not / less comfortable with the learning experience they get. This of course has an impact on learning outcomes. This paper is a normative library research, which examines and examines books, articles, scientific journals, on optimizing learning outcomes through the identification of field dependent and field independent cognitive styles.

Abstract

Conditions in various parts of the world that are experiencing a pandemic period due to the spread of the corona virus have caused massive changes in various fields. Even the world of education cannot avoid and be affected by the pandemic. According to Dikbud's instructions, the learning process in schools at all levels of education is carried out by distance learning (PJJ) using internet or online media. This study aims to determine the role of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic on student learning. The population of this study were students of class XII Accounting at SMK Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Waru. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling so that the sample used was 22 students as respondents. Based on the results of interview analysis, it was concluded that students as research objects felt the direct impact of online learning. Students as research objects feel fear and anxiety, students also know the dangers of epidemics, students also gain online learning by using Whatsapp, zoom, and Quizziz applications.
