Abstract

An image of no strategy of industrialization in Indonesia has stimulated this article, to discuss the contemporary industrial policy of Indonesia, especially post monetary and economy crises of 1998, which has been distort economic stability. The development of industrial policy and problems are analyzed, especially related to basic ideology, the goals and its achievement, in structural change and economic integration.  With this basic step, an industrialization policy system propose, which is planning as the institutional coordination of policies because industrialization should be based on agriculture toward agroindustry progress as the foundation of industrialization toward manufacturing, by mean of productivity increasing, purchasing power strengthen and improvement agriculture technology. In turn a policy of industrialization will be the development of import substitution industry and by proper selection the export –drive industry will be developed base on the criteria of jobs creation and economic structure change..

Abstract

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to analyze the influence partially and simultaneously of capacity bulding activities by Field Extension Workers (FEW/PP), Field Liason Officers (FLO/PMT), and partisipation of Farmers Group Assosiation (Gapoktan) on adoption level on group capacity building program. The study object was a Farmer’s Group Assosiation guided through Rural Agribussines Development Program (RADP/PUAP) in West Java and Central Java Provinces using observation and interview methods. The respondents were 235 farmers chosen by the clusters sampling and disproportionate random sampling. The study was carried out during 2 months beginning from October to November 2010. The data were collected descriptively and verificatively analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of this study indicated that the first is capacity bulding learning by Agricultural Extension Workers , Field Liason Officers, and member’s partisipation of Farmer’s Group Assosiation influenced significantly partially and simultaneously on adoption level of Farmer’s Group Assosiation on capacity building program ; the second is need a reorientation Capacity Building Design.

Abstract

This study aimstoexplain thesocial and economic characteristicsof poorinsubMerantiPandakonindividualandcommunitylevel, toknow thecharacter ofthe cultureof povertyof the poorinsub Meranti Pandakatthe individual and the community, andknowingthe pattern ofadaptationwhichis aculture of poverty, both at the level individual sand communities. Intheory, the cultureof povertyis apoorreaction to the irmarginal position withina class stratifiedsociety, highly individualistic, and characterized bycapitalism. Culturereflectsaneffort toovercomethe despairandhopelessnesswhich is amanifestationthatit is impossible to achieve successinlifein accordance with the values and objectives ofthe wider society. This research is categorized as descriptive research by conducting observations and interviews in depth to maintain the integrity of the object being studied. The unit of analysis and informants of this research are families living in Meranti Pandak village with a long stay in the top 10 (ten) years, and with different types of work and their relatively small incomes. The resultsof this studys howed that there was astrongef fortfromthemto survivein the current location ofresidence, althoug heve rynowinundated. Although the conditions that are less mennguntungkan the viewof many, but they feel happy and comfortable because every moment they canparticipate more or lessaccess to assistance that comes to the mas”victims of the flood. “ Reflection of the apathyshown by how they survive in the ircurrentresidence foral waystouched bytheassistance.
