Abstract

Based on bibliometric methods and assisted by CiteSpace and visualization tools, this study systematically reviews and analyzes relevant literature on archaeological cultural interaction over the past two decades. By examining publication trends, institutional collaboration networks, and keyword co-occurrence and burst characteristics, it reveals the developmental trajectory and research features of this field. The results indicate that research on archaeological cultural interaction has shown a continuous growth trend, with a particularly significant increase after 2017. Research institutions are predominantly domestic, with relatively limited international participation. Although several core nodes have formed within collaboration networks, overall connections remain relatively loose. The evolution of research themes demonstrates a progression from early studies on cultural types and distributions, to regional and typological analyses, and further toward methodological integration and in-depth studies of key regions.

Abstract

This article examines how coexistence in the Gerbang Mas Perkasa transmigration area, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan, can be understood through Charles Taylor's politics of recognition. The area is a border transmigration zone in which transmigrant and local communities live within a plural society marked by historical memory, economic vulnerability, ecological pressure, and uneven public services. Drawing on field data from the 2025 Patriot Expedition report, this study uses a descriptive qualitative design supported by survey data from 243 respondents, interviews, focus group discussions, observation, and secondary documents. The findings show that everyday coexistence is not merely the absence of conflict. It is sustained by practical cooperation, shared economic spaces, local-national attachment, and institutional mediation. However, formal tolerance remains insufficient when public trust is weakened by infrastructure gaps, unequal access to economic opportunities, and unresolved perceptions of distributive justice. Using Taylor's recognition framework, the article argues that sustainable transmigration governance requires more than administrative integration. It requires recognition-based governance that protects cultural identity, strengthens intergroup relations, and converts coexistence into civic friendship and solidarity. The article contributes to debates on transmigration, border development, and multicultural governance by proposing a modest analytical model linking recognition, public trust, and plural-society resilience in Indonesian border communities

Abstract

The Shuixi Chenghua Bell, cast in the 21st year of the Chenghua reign of the Ming Dynasty (1485), is currently the earliest large-scale gold inscription artifact inscribed with Yi script discovered in China and is housed in the Shexiang Museum in Dafang County, Guizhou Province. Characterized by its dual casting of Yi and Chinese scripts alongside the integration of Han-style decorative motifs with Yi religious beliefs, this bell serves as a precious physical testament to cultural convergence in the Shuixi region during the Ming period. Using a three-dimensional analytical framework encompassing material culture, institutional culture, and ethnic culture, the study systematically examines the manifestations of cultural fusion between Yi and Han cultures in the bell, concluding that it exemplifies a model where the Shuixi Yi chieftain class actively assimilated Han culture while preserving their core ethnic cultural characteristics. As a tangible manifestation of this cultural integration, the Chenghua Bell holds significant academic value for understanding ethnic relations and cultural interaction mechanisms along the southwestern frontier during the Ming Dynasty.

Abstract

Tanggamus Regency is the second largest producer of Robusta coffee in Lampung. However, price fluctuations and climate change threaten the economic stability of farmers, in addition to the problem of coffee husk waste that has not been optimally utilized. In fact, coffee husks are rich in bioactive antioxidant compounds such as chlorogenic acid, caffeine, tannins, and anthocyanins that are beneficial for skin health. This study aims to formulate cosmetic preparations based on coffee husk waste, formulate an environmentally friendly marketing strategy (green marketing), and develop a model for economic empowerment of female coffee farmers. This study used a mixed -methods approach that combines laboratory experimental methods for product formulation with descriptive qualitative analysis based on agrarian socio-economics. The results showed that the ethanol extract of coffee husks was successfully formulated into a solid soap, clay mask, and facial serum. All three preparations met physical stability standards, had a safe acidity level for the skin (pH 6.0–6.8), and were proven to be non-irritating in physical irritation tests (patch tests) on volunteers. From a socio-economic perspective, the implementation of the Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning (STP) strategy focused on the clean beauty market, combined with strengthening the capacity of the Women Farmers Group (KWT), has proven to be able to create economic value -added and trigger off-farm income diversification for Semende ethnic women farmers. The establishment of this coffee waste-based diversification business unit not only strengthens women's economic independence but also supports environmental sustainability through the principle of zero -waste agriculture.

Abstract

The multicultural aspect of the population impacts every part of society but is more prominent in the local communities, and local government officials are learning to deal with the ethnically, racially, linguistically, and culturally diverse population. This is required to meet the needs of all within their cultural context and effectively deliver public services at the local level.  There are different tools to assess the organizations' or departments' cultural/multicultural competence, such as the inclusion of cultural respect and understanding in the organizational policies, programs, strategies, practices, governance, and service delivery system. The element of cultural/multicultural competency is being adopted at the national, state, and local levels due to the fast-growing diverse population in the USA. The local government officials are mainly responsible for providing public services at the local level and meeting the needs of all. They need to be culturally/multiculturally competent to deliver public services and make them accessible for all. Different case studies highlight the best practices to be implemented at the local level to serve the diverse communities. But local government officials have to be very careful to adopt these practices, as cultures are different from others and have different needs and problems; not all things/practices can be good or implemented in other diverse communities.

Abstract

The growing use of social media has transformed contemporary learning by providing learners with access to concise, interactive, and visually engaging educational content. Short-form educational videos, commonly referred to as micro-content, have emerged as valuable supplementary learning resources on platforms such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. However, limited research has examined their pedagogical effectiveness within the Indian educational context. This conceptual study investigates the educational potential of social media micro-content through a qualitative content analysis of 10 purposively selected educational videos from leading EdTech platforms and independent content creators. The videos were analyzed using four pedagogical dimensions: attention, engagement, reflection, and application. The findings indicate that educational micro-content effectively captures learners' attention through visual and interactive elements, promotes engagement through participatory features, encourages reflective thinking, and facilitates the practical application of knowledge. The study further proposes a Micro-Learning Pedagogy Framework, which conceptualizes the pedagogical processes through which short-form educational content supports meaningful learning. The framework provides a structured perspective for educators, policymakers, and digital content creators to integrate educational micro-content into contemporary teaching and learning practices. The study contributes to the growing literature on digital pedagogy by offering a conceptual model for understanding the educational value of social media micro-content while identifying opportunities and challenges associated with its pedagogically responsible use.

Abstract

Journal quality improvement involves editorial routines, institutional resources, and sustained professional support. This article develops a provisional collaborative governance model for journals at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, with Relawan Jurnal Indonesia as a prospective mentoring partner. The proposed research uses an embedded qualitative case study of faculty journals, combining a dated policy audit, authorized institutional documents, semistructured interviews, and observation where consent permits. A case chronology, reflexive thematic analysis, and comparison of divergent journals will examine role allocation, knowledge transfer, adoption of editorial procedures, and alternative explanations for change. The literature suggests a five-stage mechanism: joint baseline diagnosis, an explicit governance charter, targeted mentoring, implementation in editorial workflows, and verification of quality indicators with feedback to the partners. The model translates accountability and multilevel coordination into observable decisions and artifacts while preserving editorial independence. The number of journals and participants, partnership status, observation dates, baseline conditions, and empirical findings are 73. Accordingly, the proposed mechanism is a conceptual contribution, not an observed effect or a demonstrated improvement in accreditation or indexing. The eventual study can inform journal managers and university leaders about which commitments and routines are associated with credible progress, provided that field evidence and official outcome records support those claims.
