E-CHIEF JOURNAL (Early Childhood and Family Parenting Journal) is a journal that was started publishing on May 2021 at the Early childhood Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Focus and Scope of journal is research study and analysis related to Early Childhood Education. The article will publish in English, every manuscript sent to the editorial office of the journal ought to follow the writing guidelines. If the manuscript does not meet with the author guidelines or any manuscript written in different format, the article will be rejected before further review. Only submitted manuscripts that meet the journals format will be processed further. E-CHIEF journal published twice a year, in May and November. Abstract

This research aims to determine the perceptions of PIAUD undergraduate students regarding the new paradigm of an independent curriculum at the Early Childhood Education level. Data collection used an open questionnaire using purposive sampling techniques. The Method uses a descriptive qualitative with a case study. The location used is in the Early Childhood Islamic Education Study Program (PIAUD) Muhammadiyah Probolinggo Islamic College. The research subjects were all students of the 4th semester Islamic Early Childhood Education study program, totaling 19 people who took the Early Childhood Learning Design course. The result shows that the content and structure of the independent curriculum are substantively more simple and deeper, because it is focuses on the self-development of students, students have diverse opinions regarding the independent curriculum where in learning the Independent curriculum students are trained to express opinions with more critical, creative, and motivated in solving every learning challenge they face,  and teachers are required to be more creative in determining and designing learning activities by adjusting the conditions and needs of each class.

Abstract

The low ability to recognize children's early literacy, low children's learning activities and low focus on learning activities that make children lack learning motivation and lack of desire to excel in a learning activity should be a concern in this study. The purpose is to analyze teacher activities, children's activities and literacy development results using sand media in Kenanga Banjarmasin Kindergarten. This research use Classroom Action Research with qualitative and quantitative approaches used in this study. It is conducted in three meetings with children from group A of Kenanga Banjarmasin Kindergarten, with a total of 8 children. The results showed that teacher activity always increased in every meeting starting from the 1st meeting obtaining a score of 26 with Good criteria, until the 3rd meeting obtaining a score of 34 with Very Good criteria. Child activity 1st meeting with 38% Active criteria, 2nd meeting with 75% Active criteria and 3rd meeting with 100% Very Active criteria. The results of child literacy development at the last meeting reached 100%. It was concluded that the combination of Project Based Learning, Mastery Learning, Number Head Together models using sand media was proven to develop children's activities and children's literacy development outcomes. It is recommended that principals, educators and subsequent analysis can be material to further develop learning in children.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is developing children’s fine motor skills in cutting according to patterns through the DONAT model (Direct instructiON and media Awan pinTar). The approach used is a qualitative approach with the type of Classsroom Action Research which is held in three meetings. The research subjects were the children of group B TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 36 Banjarmasin in the 2022/2023 academic year, which consisted of 18 children. The results showed that the teacher’s activity at the 3rd meeting obtained a score of 27 and reached the Very Good criteria. The activity of the 3rd meeting children obtained a percentage of 94% and reached the criteria for All Active Children. The independence of the 3rd meeting children obtained a percentage 0f 83% and reached the criteria for All Independent Children. The results of the child’s fine motor development obtained a percentage of 83% and reached the Very Good Development criteria.

Abstract

The problem in this research is motivated by the low activity and results of the development of language aspects in prounounce English numeral symbols. The causes of the problems are one-way learning, lack of child response and lack of variations in learning models. The solution is to use Pattern Model (Problem based learning model, mAke a match model, and Think, Talk, write and mEdia numbeR box). This study used a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 3 meetings, research settings in group B children at TK Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal 36 Banjarmasin, totaling 18 children. The data collection technique is observation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis using tables and graphs. The results of this study concluded that the teacher's activities at meetings I and II achieved good criteria and at meeting III achieved very good criteria. The child's activity at meeting I reached the criteria of being inactive, meetings II and III reached the criteria of being very active. Classical completeness of child development results at meeting I reached 11%, meeting II reached 78% and meeting III reached 100%. It is recommended that teachers, school principals and further researchers be able to provide input and information for selecting learning models.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low cognitive development of number concept children. The solution to this problem is to use the Project visualization model. The purpose of this study is to describe the activity of teachers, analyze children's activities and cognitive development. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is carried out with four meetings. The subjects of the study were group A children of Tunas Muda Kindergarten, the number of children was 13 people. The type of data in this study is qualitative data. The results of this study showed that teacher activities at meeting I got a score of 32, meeting II got a score of 42, meeting III got a score of 48, and meeting IV got a score of 52. Children's activities at meeting I obtained a percentage of 53.84%, meeting II obtained a percentage of 68.50%, meeting III obtained a percentage of 83.17%, and meeting IV obtained a percentage of 94.95%. Cognitive Development of children meeting I obtained a percentage of 75.96%, meeting II obtained a percentage of 82.05%, meeting III obtained a percentage of 89.10%, and meeting IV obtained 96.15%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that teacher activity, child activity, and child development results have successfully increased and developed.
