The purpose of this article is to examine the philosophy of positivism initiated by Auguste Comte and to trace how his philosophical ideas influence the development of the paradigm of Islamic education in Indonesia. This research is a type of library research, which is a series of activities related to the methods of collecting library data, reading, and taking notes and processing research materials. Through descriptive-interpretive analysis, this article argues that the philosophy of positivism has not succeeded in removing religion from human life in the world. However, the paradigm of thinking that he introduced substantially contributed in reorienting the paradigm of Islamic education in higher education from a theological orientation to an integrative orientation.

Iran and Israel had cultivated a close alliance during the Cold War 1947-1991. Their economic and military cooperation was based on prevalent interests and threats. Nevertheless, the 1979 Islamic Revolution was a watershed event in the history of their relationship. The end of the Cold War and the Iraqi defeat in the first Persian Gulf War resulted in a shift in the balance of power, in which many states in the region had emerged as regional competitors. Iran and Israel became rivals for prominence and leadership in the region. Their diplomatic and political relations have deteriorated recently, heightening the risk of escalation and direct military conflict. Israel perceives Iran as a threat to the existence of the Jewish state and its national security while Iranian leaders perceive Israel as a threat to their regional aspirations. This study explores the roots and origins of the long history of hostility between Iran and Israel. It provides a brief overview of the important factors that have shaped the Israeli-Iranian rivalry and demonstrates both states’ scramble for power and influence in the Middle East.

This qualitative study intends to examine racism, homosexuality and slavery as contagious wordsin Pakistan by applying Judith Butler’s notions presented in Excitable Speech in 1997.“Contagious words” is the expression, which talks about social taboos, immoral words, harmfulwords, etc. Nearly all types of contagious words and acts are considered illegal and unacceptablein any society in the world. These contagious words refer to racism, homosexuality, same-sexmarriage, child marriage, and forced marriage, slavery, bonded slavery, child labor, and the listgoes on. The applied theoretical model depends on Judith Butler’s notions introduced in her mostrenowned book Excitable Speech (1997). Judith Butler claims that despite the fact thesecontagious words and acts are controlled by the law and these practices are condemned bysocieties, the practices are covertly going on. The findings related to the objective of the studyreveals that the contagious speech acts are controlled by the powerful agencies in order to showtheir power. The results of the study show that the powerful agencies who are controlling thesecontagious acts and practices, are inherently inclined towards these contagious acts in most ofthe cases.

Biogas produced from livestock and agricultural waste is used by the community as a substitute fornatural gas energy and as a substitute for electrical energy to provide gas needs for gas stoves andhousehold electrical energy needs in Tana Toraja Regency. This study aims to analyze the level ofcommunity involvement in Tana Toraja Regency in utilizing biogas as an alternative energy source and asolution for livestock and agricultural waste. Furthermore, by using a quantitative approach, thisresearch also aims to identify the impact of using biogas as an alternative energy for the community froman economic, social and environmental perspective. Biogas is one solution to the scarcity of posil energysources and is an environmentally friendly alternative energy source. This advantage makes Biogas anenergy source that has good prospects as an alternative energy substitute for non-renewable energy inIndonesia, which is currently experiencing an energy crisis, which is characterized by increasingly scarceand high fuel prices which have an impact on the higher production costs of power plants. The existenceof renewable energy is something that is very important to meet energy needs in Indonesia.

Childfree is an understanding that believes that a family does not need to have children orchildren, Childfree is a lifestyle of refusing to give birth, adopt, or in other words do notwant to have children for married couples. Childfree is commonly done by many people, whether female or male, either the choice is forced or with their own awareness. Thephenomenon of childfree raises pros and cons among young women, they use certainpropositions to strengthen their arguments. Therefore, this paper discusses thephenomenon of childfree perspective of hadith, especially hadith about multiplyingoffspring that are interpreted from yusuf al-Qardhawy's hermeneutic perspective. Thisarticle falls into the category of qualitative research with reaserch library types that aredata-based libraries, reading, recording and managing research materials. The analyticalmethod used in this study is descriptive analysis with a partial-simultaneous approach inthe realm of hadith. The results showed that the phenomenon of childfree is contrary tothe hadith of multiplying offspring, because in it there is an invitation not to havechildren, while the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered his people to marry fertilewomen in order to have children. Women are equipped with great excess affection inorder to educate their children to create a superior and beautiful generation. Apart fromthe pros and cons of childfree writers, children are allowed to themselves and are notallowed to campaign to the public.

Religious discourse is one of the instruments that are often used by the dominant class (the majority, who are in power) to carry out a symbolic violence mechanism against the dominated class (the minority, who are ruled). For example, through religious discourses that seem plural and open, the power and domination of the dominant class are continuously perpetuated. This study aims to analyze the symbolic violence that occurs in religious discourse in Indonesia, especially in the study of religion, by reviewing the discourse of “agama vs. kepercayaan” and “moderasi beragama”. The symbolic violence referred to here is, according to Pierre Bourdie’s theory, violence that does not appear as violence and is latent. Victims of this type of violence do not feel that they are victims of violence as if what happened was natural and it should have been. This study also argues that symbolic violence in religious discourse in Indonesia is widely produced in educational institutions, especially through the hands of academics, because through educational institutions, discourses of “agama vs. kepercayaan” and “moderasi beragama” are formulated and then implemented in government policies, as if the discourse has accommodated all religions and beliefs, but only perpetuates the way of thinking and tastes of the dominant class. In short, this study argues that religious discourses such as “agama vs. kepercayaan”and “moderasi beragama” are produced by the dominant class through educational institutions and so on and produce symbolic violence.
