Journal of Islamic Economy and Community Engagement is a multidisciplinary scientific journal published by the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business. This journal is a national level that covers many problems or general problems related to community services. This journal publication aims to disseminate conceptual ideas and research results that have been achieved in the field of community service. Journal of Islamic Economy and Community Engagement, which contains various community service activities with the theme of Islamic economics and other sciences related to the UIN and other universities in the area of supervision of various potentials, complexities, challenges, and problems in society. Implementation of service activities as well as community participation and work partners. Activities are organized into activities that aim to improve community welfare.

Abstract

Community service is carried out by conducting endowment socialization for high school / MA students in order to foster social awareness through endowments, bearing in mind that the community's understanding of endowment is only synonymous with parents and those who have wealth.  Through waqf literacy with waqf tests strategies aimed at assessing students' understanding of waqf, fostering interest in waqf among students or the community itself, creating students and communities who are socially aware through waqf.  This method of socialization uses the method of direct teaching patterns, questions and answers, and assignments or tests.  The socialization participants consisted of 33 students from class XI IPS MAN 4 Bantul.  The total number of pre-test and post-test questions is 10 questions that are true or false.  Where each question has 10 points. From the results of the pre-test evaluation, an average value of 59.39 was obtained with a vulnerable value of 30-70 and the results of the post-test evaluation obtained an average value of 81.21 with a vulnerable value of 70-100.  The results of the overall evaluation there was a significant increase in value of 21.82, the results showed the method was considered quite useful in terms of grades and enthusiasm of the students.  Apart from that, there are a number of questions that show that students are truly enthusiastic about endowments.Keywords: waqf literacy, readability, waqf

Abstract

According to Islamic teachings, poverty is a serious problem that must be given serious attention too. Therefore, Islam explains the problem of poverty and social inequality in detail, both in the aspect of conception and solution. This Community Service Report (PKM) discusses the establishment of Badan, Amil, Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (BAZIS) of Cimanggu Satu Village which aims to empower Mustahiq in Cimanggu Satu Village to further improve their economy by managing funds received from the results of Cimanggu Satu Village. zakat distribution becomes more productive.Keywords : Community Service, empowerment, zakat.

Abstract

Community service activities are carried out by holding socialization on the importance of giving alms to women PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) in Nitikan Village, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta City. This activity aims to increase public awareness and understanding of zakat payment. This activity takes the form of socialization using lecture and question and answer methods. The material consists of the definition of zakat, ashnaf zakat, zakat payment methods and case examples. The participants of the socialization consisted of 20 PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) mothers in Nitikan village, 1 student from Widya Mataram University, and 1 student from Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University.Keywords: Zakat, awareness, understanding, society.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide training in marketing broom handicraft products in Mekarjaya Village, Padamulya Village, where the artisans have problems and many people in the area do not know yet in the process of marketing activities. The approach taken to solve this problem uses a mentoring method in the form of marketing training. The results of the assistance and training program in improving the ability to manage broom products for the people of Padamulya Village can be seen from the change in mindset of the craft owners from those who previously only marketed their products in their home regions but now can expand their market share widely by using current technology, namely applications buying and selling online. Abstract

The natural resources produced by Padamulya Village are very abundant, but the natural resources owned by Padamulya Village have not been fully utilized by the community, so there is a need for guidance or assistance to the community to exploit the existing potential. One of them is by utilizing processed cassava products that are made into food with high selling price. The method used is the socialization and innovation of cassava processed products. In processing this cassava product, the writer makes cassava churros which is a delicious and healthy snack food. After implementing this program the results obtained are the development of cassava processed products more creative and innovative as well as the surrounding community better understanding how to utilize a potential that is around.Keywords: Product Innovation; Cassava; Community Service

Abstract

This study aims to assess the extent of adolescent knowledge about zakat and its calculations. Zakat itself is the third pillar of Islam, therefore we need to know in detail the types of zakat, its calculations, and to whom it is distributed. Zakat is a part of the property that must be issued by Muslims to be given to 8 asnaf as stated in the Qur'an and Sunnah. In Indonesia, there is the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) whose task is to collect and distribute zakat, infaq and shodaqoh. BAZNAS has also arranged all zakat calculations from zakat fitrah, shares, agriculture, professions and many more.Keywords: Zakat, Zakat Calculation, BAZNAS.

Abstract

AbstractCommunity service regarding zakat is aimed at educating and developing community literacy through youth community, Puri Asri Street, Tri Mulyo, Jetis, Bantul. Zakat, which is the fourth pillar of Islam, has a mandatory legal status according to shari'ah. The majority of Muslim communities in Indonesia have not yet paid zakat correctly. Most only know zakat fitrah only and others who have known other types of zakat have not performed zakat correctly. So, it is very necessary for a socialization activity to add insight into the scientific community in tithe. The participants in the socialization program consisted of 20 young people, with different levels of education. Ranging from junior high school level to college students. From the questionnaire data distributed to participants (pre-test) 80,7% did not understand zakat well, so this socialization was needed. After the socialization was held a post-test was held to find out the increase in knowledge and scientific uptake of the participants, and it was stated that 91,6% had understood the material of the zakat presented.Keywords: Zakat, Socialization, Education

Abstract

The purpose of community service, is done so that people can use cassava into product innovation that has a sale value, so that it can increase the income of the people of Padamulya Village. The minimum performance indicator has an understanding to utilize cassava into product innovation. The target of the cassava utilization program as an innovation in getuk gulung products is the people of Padamulya Village, Especially Padamulya Village. The method used in this community service is counseling and workhop (training) methods, about the procedures for making product innovations from cassava such as getuk gulung si engkong. The results of community service activities are that the community has enthusiasm in knowing and gaining knowledge about cassava product innovation, it can be seen from the large number of participants participating in the training and the community wanting to follow up on the existence of business group programs and making Getuk Gulung as a superior product in Padamulya Village.Keywords: Product Innovation, Cassava, Community Service

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of community service is done so that the community can utilize the potential of abundant natural resources (RNA) into a product innovation through training activities to make healthy snacks made from tomatoes, is expected to explore the potential of communities that have high selling points, so as to increase the income of the Kp community. Sirnagalih Padamulya Village. Indicators of achievement have a minimum understanding of managing abundant natural resources. The target of the Tom And Jelly making training program is the community of kp. Sirnagalih Padamulya Village, especially mothers. The method used in this community service is to use a workshop method (training) on the procedures for making products from processed tomatoes made into Tom And Jelly. The results of the community service activity were that the community was enthusiastic to know about tomato processing and were very motivated to become entrepreneurs, which can be seen from the many participants who wanted further action such as the grouping of Tom And Jelly businesses.Keywords: Training, Income Improvement, Tomato Utilization

Abstract

This study aims to determine the awareness of taxation, socialization of taxation, and tax sanctions affect the compliance of individual taxpayers. The data used are primary data obtained from questionnaires distributed to individual taxpayers. The results of the study indicate that tax awareness and tax sanctions have a positive effect on individual taxpayer compliance, while tax socialization does not affect individual taxpayers.
