Abstract

The outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Developing a vaccine is one of the best ways to reduce the virus's impact. Nevertheless, the development of virus mutations produces new variants that diminish the efficacy of the previous vaccine. Booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccine is still a matter of debate among the public, particularly among students, as evidenced by the low rate of booster vaccinations in the community, which is a result of a lack of knowledge about booster vaccines. The purpose of this study is to assess the level of understanding among Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) students regarding booster vaccinations, with the results subsequently serving as a factor or strategy for future government booster vaccination policy decisions. ANN and SVM algorithms could be used to predict the level of understanding of booster vaccinations among UMY students. However, the maximum level of precision in classifying the level of comprehension is not yet known. To determine which of the two methods, kernel and k-fold, provided the maximum level of accuracy, a comparative study was conducted between them. The research was conducted by disseminating questionnaires containing assessments of booster vaccinations to a total of 2095 respondents. Using randomized sampling type, this study yielded an accuracy of 88.45% for the ANN method and 89.93% for the SVM method in each scenario. In addition, the authors conduct feature efficiency, which aims to reduce the time and cost associated with data computation.

Abstract

The development of technology and communication is expanding rapidly. In this case, the internet has become a vital necessity in globalization. Technological innovations are required to create a seamless, fast, and secure communication system. This research aims to evaluate the Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) implementation by applying the Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology. This study adhered to several stages in the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method. The results of the two technology combinations, EIGRP and MPLS, demonstrated MPLS network simulation testing in several dynamic routing systems: EIGRP and OSPF, identified through the Quality of Service (QoS) value. It revealed that the best performance was EIGRP with a throughput of 2152.5 bps, delay of 335.6 ms, and jitter of 411 ms. Furthermore, MPLS and EIGRP network redundancy was better applied in the mesh topology with a multi or backup link than in the linear topology with a single link.

Abstract

Since the majority of the electrical energy required to meet consumer demands is still produced by the typical power plant using fossil fuels, the world's electricity supply will eventually approach a critical point due to the steady depletion of fossil fuels. One solution to replacing energy derived from fossil fuels is solar energy. However, the results of energy generation are significantly influenced by the angle of the solar panels to the direction of sunlight. Therefore, in order to optimize the production of electrical energy, a microcontroller system that can track sunlight is developed using MicroPython. This research calculated the azimuth angle and elevation angle to create a solar tracker that can follow the sun's position based on time. The results of this research reveal that solar trackers at 21.30 volts and rooftop solar panels at 20.44 volts when both produce open circuit voltage. With an solar tracker, solar panels may operate up to at a 20% efficiency in sunny conditions, compared to an average efficiency of 18% for rooftop solar panels.

Abstract

Commencing with dawn, zuhr, asr, maghrib, and concluding with isha, obligatory prayers are conducted five times a day. These are the first worship that will be weighed on the last day. Printed materials are frequently utilized to teach the practice of praying. It is feasible, however, to produce a monotonous quantity of learning. Today, technology development and information have influenced an individual’s learning style and behavior. In order to provide an exciting and engaging learning environment, this study designed a mobile learning application for obligatory prayer practice. This study employed an experimental method to develop the application and questionnaires to collect the data. The application could display readings of prayers, images of the prayer movement, videos of the prayer movement, and audio readings of prayers, as well as some of the most influential summaries, positions, and laws for leaving a prayer.

Abstract

Distance learning, or online learning, is essential for both teachers and students as they work to create a system of education to function during a pandemic. Therefore, this research aims to develop a CAI media-based learning application for teaching fractions in mathematics. The survey results conducted at SDN 1 Sukerejo Boyolali revealed that students encountered the most trouble with fractions. Hence, their comprehension of the mathematics learning application was evaluated. The pre-test and post-test results of 30 students in both the control and experiment classes demonstrated that the application was easier to use than direct or traditional learning methods.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the efficiency of bandwidth utilization at MTs Muhammadiyah Tawangsari using the PCQ and Queue Tree bandwidth management methods on a MikroTik router. Through this approach, an analysis of bandwidth requirements, network topology design, and implementation were conducted. Post-implementation measurement results show a remarkable improvement in average user download speeds: 17.3 Mbps in administration rooms, 10 Mbps in classrooms, and 18.8 Mbps in faculty rooms. These results indicate a significant improvement in tailored bandwidth distribution that meets the specific needs of each network area and ensures that all users receive equal bandwidth usage. This leads to more evenly distributed and efficient network performance.

Abstract

E-learning is formal and non-formal learning carried out using technology, allowing students and teachers to conduct teaching and learning processes using electronic media. By using the e-learning module, YouTube can be included to create material and to ease learning. However, a lot of educational videos on YouTube cover ground already well-covered. Accordingly, the audience cannot skip unnecessary things. Therefore, a YouTube API-based e-learning module was built to help users learn the material effectively. A System Usability Scale (SUS) was employed in this study, allowing easier data collection using a questionnaire. The data analysis acquired a score of 68 (B), signifying the usefulness of the module. The module provided convenience to the users to grasp the material in a brief time.

Abstract

This study aims to explore various adaptations of the AMBTC compression model applied to lumbar spine radiographic images, focusing on minimizing image size while preserving essential information. The approach involves adjusting several technical aspects of the AMBTC model, including the number of blocks, block size, and compression rate. The quality of the compressed images is assessed using image quality metrics such as PSNR (Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) and MSE (Mean Squared Error). The findings indicate that a modified AMBTC compression model can significantly enhance the quality of lumbar spine radiographic images, evidenced by increased PSNR values, while substantially reducing the file size without compromising crucial image details

Abstract

It is crucial to have a reliable and adequate information system to implement information technology. It explains why technology must continue advancing in this area, specifically regarding the Information Technology Department’s information management at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). Information has been disseminated through the WhatsApp and Telegram applications, leading to improper conveying of the made and supplied information due to excessive stacking. Hence, a web-based information system was developed in PHP with the help of the Laravel framework to overcome the issue. Moreover, a database was set up using MySQL to circumvent the issue. The newly constructed information system could enhance information management, leading to more accurate and efficient information generation for various uses.

Abstract

Single-board computers have gained popularity in the recent decade, largely due to the immense advancements in deep learning. Deep learning involves complex computational processes that are beyond the capabilities of regular microcontrollers, thus necessitating the use of single-board computers. However, single-board computers are primarily designed to operate efficiently in low-power environments. Therefore, optimization is crucial for running deep learning algorithms effectively on single-board computers. In this work, we explore the impact of utilizing the DeepStream framework to run deep learning algorithms, specifically the YOLO algorithm, on NVIDIA Jetson single-board computers. The DeepStream framework can be executed in virtual machines, notably Docker, to improve the performance and portability of the model. Additionally, deploying the Docker virtual machine from removable disks can further enhance its portability and even increase the algorithm's speed. Our benchmarks indicate that real-time streaming of the YOLO algorithm can operate up to 8.5 times faster when deployed from a Docker virtual machine.
