Abstract

Pemekaran wilayah di lokasi penelitian sangat direspon olehmasyarakat. Terbukti dari 100 responden yang di wawancara dikedua lokasi penelitian rata-rata 66% memberi persetujuan akanterjadinya pemekaran wilayah didaerahnya, dengan alasan bahwapemahaman mereka dilandasi pemekaran wilayah membawa anginperubahan baik pada tingkat kesejahteraan maupun kemudahandalam mengakses layanan publik. Namun ada juga (34%) yang tidaksetuju, dengan alasan bahwa pemekaran wilayah sebenarnya bukanuntuk kepentingan masyarakat kecil namun untuk para elit politikmaupun elit birokrat .Konflik pada daerah pemekaran pada lokasi penelitian disebabkan,tidak puasnya masyarakat dan elit-elit politik tertentu pada pascapemekaran. Menurut hasil penelitian seperti tidak meratanya kursikekuasaan, pemerataan pada akses-akses potensial serta masih sulitmengakses layanan publik seperti yang dijanjikan pada PRApemekaran (kampanye pemekaran wilayah).Dari hasil penelitian, ditemui fakta bahwa konflik yang terjadi didaerah penelitian lebih dominan issunya tapal batas (batas wilayah).Hal ini didasari bahwa adanya keragu-raguan pemerintah dalammenentukan tapal batas (54%), apalagi wilayah yang disengketakanseperti di Kecamatan Sindue (desa Lero) mengandung emas dantelah ada penambangan rasional. Desa tersebut belum jelas bataswilayah karena masih dilingkari oleh kepentingan penentu kebijakan(birokrat lokal).

Abstract

Background: Andropause is a changes that occurs due to males because of  reduction of testosterone levels. These changes is not only in the physical aspect, but also the psychological aspect. This study aims to determine the relationship between andropause with anxiety in males.Method: This research is a analytical observational research with the approach of cross sectional.  The sample was taken using purposive random sampling after being selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria of research and the sample could not be selected when the result of L-MMPI ≥ 10. The subject filled in (1) curriculum vitae form and informed consent, (2) L-MMPI questionnaire to find out the respondent’s truthfulness in filling in questionnaire, (3) ADAM questionnaire as an early screening andropause and  (4) T-MAS questionnaire to find out the anxiety score. 60 subject of  research were obtained as the data and analyzed using with Chi Square and Coefisien Contingency (C).Result: The data analysis, with α = 0,05, shows p = 0,06 which means p > 0,05 and C = 0,324 or 32,4%.Conclusion: This study revealed that there is no significant correlation between andropause and anxiety in males (p > 0,05).Keywords: Andopause, Anxiety

Abstract

Background: Andropause represents the symptoms and signs due to the lower rate of testosteron that happened slowly along with increasing the age. One of the symptoms is vasomotor disorder, that is called hot flashes. The presence of hot flashes can be result to insomnia in males with andropause. Number of  andropause’s prevalence which tend to high in some area in Indonesia can indicate the amount of adult men that suffer from insomnia. This research aim to prove that there is a correlation between andropause and insomnia, especially at Subdistrict Jebres Surakarta. Method: This analytic qualitative observational study uses cross-sectional method was held in Subdistrict Jebres Surakarta. Subjects in this study are males with inclusion and exclusion criterias. Sixty males (above 40 years old) were chosen to participate in this study by purposive random sampling (30 males with andropause and 30 males without andropause). Data were collected through self-administered questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using Chi Square (X2) test and Contingency Coefficient (C) test. Result: The data analysis, with α = 0.05, shows p = 0.003 which means p < 0.05 and C = 0.36 or 36 %. Conclusion: There is a correlation between andropause and insomnia in males at Subdistrict Jebres Surakarta (p < 0.05, C = 0.36), where the number of insomnia’s prevalence is bigger at andropause’s group. Abstract

Background:High school students have a potential risk of stress that caused by the demands of their school life. Stressors increased when they were in grade XII in which they would do national exam. Stress condition have a negative impact on their health, one of which will cause occurenceof premenstrual syndrome. The aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between psychological stress before doing national exam and premenstrual syndrome. Methods:The research design of this study was analytical descriptive with cross sectional approach. The subjects were female students in grade XII who took a special course for preparing National Exam at Surakarta. Data was collectedby used purposive random sampling technique. There were 60 female students to fill the questionnaires, 30 students as stress group and the other were control group. Collected data was annalizedwithFisher’s Exact formula.   Results:In stress group, there were 28 students with premenstrual syndrome and 2 students without premenstrual syndrome. In control group, there were 26 students with premenstrual syndrome and 4 students without premenstrual syndrome. Result of the statistical test provided there was no relationship between stress and premenstrual syndrome (p = 0.671).Among the samples, there were 49 students with anxiety and the statistical test suggested there was relationship between anxiety and premenstrual syndrome (p = 0.008) Conclusions:This result provided there was no relationship between psychological stress before doing national exam and premenstrual syndrome for senior high school female students at special course in Surakarta. For further research, it is recommended to classified stress as mild, moderate, severe and extremely severe. Keywords:psychological stress; national exam; premenstrual syndrome.

Abstract

Background: The incidence number of psychological stress before UAN and SNMPTN in XII grade of high school students is quite high. This is so adverse because psychological stress itself could affect students’ health. For example, psychological stress could be a cause of whitish or fluor albus in female students. If this is ignored, it would be dangerous. For those reasons, this research was done to reveal the relation between psychological stress before UAN and SNMPTN to fluor albus incidence in female high school study course participants. Methods: The method of this research was analytical observation with cross sectional approach. The subject was female high school students grade XII and participants of study course in Surakarta. Author used purposive sampling as sampling technique and to gather the data author usedLie-Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (L-MMPI) questionnaires, anxiety facing UAN and SNMPTN questionnaires, DASS42 questionnaires, and fluor albus incidence questionnaires. Data were collected from 60 samples and was analyzed by Chi Square (X2) test and Coefficient Continquency (CC. Results: From this research, author obtained X2 score value(5,406) is bigger than X2 tablevalue (3,841) with signification rate (α) = 0,05 and independence degree (df) = 1. As for the p value obtained (0,02) is smaller than the significance level which is already defined previously (0,05). Those were shown that H0 was rejected. Data analysis was continue to Coefisien Continquency (CC) test which then obtained the value of CC = 0,287. It means that the relation is weak. Conclusion: There was a weak relation statistically between psychological stress before national examination (UAN) and national university entrance examination (SNMPTN) to fluor albus incidence in female high school study course participants. Abstract

Background: Upon approaching a menstruation or during the on-going menstruation phase, primary dysmenorrhea disorders are frequently found, particularly the pain in the lower abdomen, spreading to waist and thigh area which emerges without being accompanied by any gynecological anomalies. There are some factors assumed to play role in the occurrence of primary dysmenorrhea disorders. One of them is the psychological stress. The objective of this research is to investigate whether or not there is a correlation between the psychological stress of the students in Grade 3 upon approaching the National Test and the number of primary dysmenorrhea episodes at State Senior Secondary School 2 of Magelang. Method: This research used the observational analytical method with the cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted in March 2013. The samples of the research consisted of 95 students in Grade 3 of State Senior Secondary School 2 of Magelang and were taken by using the purposive sampling technique based on the inclusive criteria determined. The data of the research were gathered through in-depth interview and questionnaire. They were then analyzed statistically by using the Chi Square test and Lambda test. Result:The Chi Square test shows that the value of X2count is 9.342. This value is greater than that of X2table at the significance level of 5% with the independence level of 1, namely: 3.481 (p < 0.05). The result of the Lambda test is 0.118 with the p value = 0.436. Conclusion: Based on the result of the research, a conclusion is drawn that there is a very weak correlation between the psychological stress of the students in Grade 3 uponapproaching the National Test and the number of primary dysmenorrhea episodes at State Senior Secondary School 2 of Magelang. Abstract

Background:Hypertension is here defined as systolic arterial blood pressure at least 140 mmHg or diastolic arterial blood pressure at least 90 mmHg or taking anti-hypertensive drugs. Onset varietyof hypertension is influenced by various factors, one of which is menopause. In this study,sample data of menopausewas obtained by using questionnaire sheet. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between menopause and hypertension. Methods:This study is an observational analysis with cross sectional study approach. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling. Sample size comprises 47 female patients. The research was conducted in July 2013 at Penumping Community Health Center, Surakarta. Data was obtained by questionnaire and direct measurement of the weight and height. The statistical analysis used was Chi-Square. Results:Chi-Square analysis results obtained p = 0.046 (p <0.05). This analysis showed significant association between menopause and hypertension in Penumping Community Health Center Surakarta. Conclusions:Based on this study it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between  menopause and hypertension. Keywords:menopause , hypertension

Abstract

Background: Carcinoma mammae is a cancer of thoracal region that most commonly found and suffered by women in Indonesia. Cancer patients may experience morbidity and psychiatric disorder. With rehabilitation, physical and psychological disorders which were caused by cancer could be reduced. This study aims to determine effects of medical rehabilitation towards stress level of post-surgical mammary carcinoma patients. Methods: This research is observational analytic study with cross-sectional approach. Subjects were patients who came to the clinic of Oncology and Medical Rehabilitation Installation of National Cancer Centre Dharmais. Research subjects were taken by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained through interviews using questionnaires. The collected data were statistically analyzed with Chi Square test using SPSS 17 software for Windows program. Results: From the research results, there is total 60 patients. Medium-category stress patients were 53 people, 25 people (47.2%) had never undergone medical rehabilitation, and 28 people (52.8%) had undergone medical rehabilitation. Severe-category stress patients were 7 people, 5 people (71.4%) had never undergone medical rehabilitation and 2 people (28.6%) had undergone medical rehabilitation. The results of calculations acquired a significance level of X²count is 0.228 > significance level of p = 0.05. Conclusions: Based on the result of statistical analysis, it can be concluded that there is no significant effects of medical rehabilitation towards stress level of post-surgical mammary carcinoma patients. Abstract

Background: Green chiretta contains andrographolide as active substances, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins which were thought to protect the liver’s cell  from free radicals. In present study, Green chiretta leaves extract was evaluated for its protective effect on heksaklorosiklon-induced liver cell damage in mice. Methods: To evaluate the hepatoprotective effect of Green chiretta leaves extract, 28 male, Swiss Webster mice (Mus musculus) were equally divided into four groups. The group I (KK) were administered aquadest and group II (KP1) were not only administered aquadest but also a toxic dose of paracetamol on the day 12, 13 and 14. Grup III–IV (KP2-KP3) were administered Green chiretta leaves extract (0.2 ml and 0.4 ml, successively) for 14 days and a toxic dose of paracetamol on the day 12, 13 and 14. Mice were sacrificed on the 15th day with neck dislocation and their livers were prepared for microscopy study to evaluate their cell damages. The  damages were assessed  by  counting  the  number  of hepatocyte on centrolobuler zone undergoing pyknosis, karyorhexis, and karyolysis. The data were analyzed using the One Way ANOVA test (α = 0.05) and the Post Hoc Multiple Comparisons (LSD) test (α = 0.05). Results: The mean liver cell damage score of  the KP1 group was significantly higher  (61.80 ± 7.991) than the KK group (33.00 ± 5.225). The KP2 group showed fewer numbers of liver cell damage (37.81 ± 5.653) compared to the KP1 group (61.80 ± 7.991) and the KP3 group (60.81 ± 8.268). The One Way ANOVA test showed the significant difference between the four groups (p=0.000) while the  LSD test showed the significant differences between each other group (p<0.005), except the group of KP1-KP3 (p> 0.005). Conclusions: The treatment of Green chiretta leaves extract was able to decrease the liver cell damage of mice. The increase dose of Green chiretta leaves extract was not followed by the increase of protection effect to the liver cell damage of mice induced by paracetamol. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam melalui metode ekpserimen baik dari segi penguasan materi pelajaran maupun  motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini dilakasanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Jatipurno kabupaten Wonogiri mulai tanggal 5 Desember 2010 sampai dengan 20 Maret  2011 pada kelas VIII B dengan jumlah peserta didik 32 terdiri dari 18 laki-laki dan 14 perempuan. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen yaitu dengan melakukan pengujian terhadap pewarna maknan (siklus 1), efek bahan pemutih terhadap lingkungan air (siklus 2), dan pengawet bakso yang menggunakan boraks (siklus 3). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa penggunaan metode eksperimen dapat memberikan kontribusi yang positif terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa, peran aktif siswa, prestasi belajar siswa secara signifikan disamping itu juga menumbuhkan rasa keingintahuan dan sikap kritis terhadap permasalahan kehidupan sehari-hari yang terjadi, serta dapat mempengaruhi terhadap perbaikan kinerja guru dalam pembelajaran. Kata Kunci : Eksperimen, Pretasi Belajar
