Abstract

The development of population increases every year causing food needs to increase, to meet food needs by increasing food crop productivity so that food availability can be sufficient. Food crops consist of rice, corn, green beans, peanuts, cassava, and sweet potatoes. Productivity in each region has different characteristics and therefore it is necessary to group the regions so that solution can be implemented in accordance with each of the characteristics of the region. The purpose of this study is to group districts/cities in North Sumatera Province based on food crop productivity using the k-means clustering method. Clustering k-means is method of grouping non-hierarchical data that attempts to partition existing data into one or more cluster or groups so that data that has the same characteristics are grouped into one same characterstics are grouped into other groups. The result of this study are the formation of 3 city district clusters namely, cluster 1 amounting to 1 regency/city, cluster 2 totaling 7 districts/cities, and cluster 3 totaling 25 districts/cities.

Abstract

The production process is an important thing that can affect profits. The production process also needs to be considered to increase profits to be more optimal. This optimization problem is still an obstacle for most businesses, one of which is the sale of meatballs with the owner of Bakso Bang Riski and Tante Juli located on Jl. Lapangan Golf Tuntungan. This study aims to optimize profits on meatball sales through the application of linear program models with the graph method. In the sale of meatballs studied using meat and flour raw materials to produce 200 servings of meatballs per day with a price per serving of Rp. 5000 and an average income of Rp. 200,000 per day. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis, developing mathematical models in the form of decision variables, objective functions, and constraint functions. The analysis results show that the graph method is effective in maximizing profits, with a maximum income of Rp4,000,000 per month and a profit of Rp3,800,000 or 80% of the total initial income. This method provides a practical solution for MSME players to improve production efficiency and business profits through a mathematical approach

Abstract

This study aims to optimize production at the Belva Busana convection shop using a linear programming method with a simplex approach. This study considers production constraints such as raw material availability, working hours, and labor capacity, and focuses on maximizing profits. Data were collected through online interviews with the production team for six days, from October 27 to November 3, 2024. The linear programming model built showed optimization results with an optimal production composition of 9.6 shirts and 19.2 housedresses, resulting in a maximum profit of IDR 300,000. The results of the study prove that the simplex method is effective in allocating resources efficiently, reducing waste, and increasing productivity. This method has also proven to be practical in making production decisions to increase efficiency and profitability

Abstract

Technological developments have brought major transformations in the transportation sector, one of which is through the presence of online motorcycle taxi applications such as Gojek and Grab. This study aims to analyze user satisfaction of online motorcycle taxi applications using the literature review method. Data is collected from relevant scientific journals, articles, and research reports. The main factors that affect user satisfaction include service quality, price, ease of use of the application, and features offered. The results of this study provide insights for application developers to improve service quality and meet user expectations.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence the preferences of female students of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) in choosing lipstick products that took place from 28 to 30 October 2024. The factors studied include the attributes of color, aroma, type of lipstick, price, and brand. This research uses quantitative methods with a comparative causal approach and chi-square analysis. Primary data is obtained from data collected directly from respondents through surveys using questionnaires. And secondary data is obtained from information on previous research reports, books, academic journals, and official documents. Research results show the decision to buy lipstick, from highest to lowest is color with 14.84, type 12.6655, brand 10.4346, aroma 8.7185, and price 12.2059. when viewed from the order, the higher the Ao value, the quality of the lipstick is at the top of the list that is most concerned by the respondent, and so on. Therefore, table 4.9 shows that rank 1 is color, rank 2 is type, rank 3 is aroma, rank 4 is brand and the last rank is the aroma of lipstick.
