Abstract

The objectives of the Internal Community Partnership Program are: (1) Improving the competence of teachers in understanding, mastering and practicing character-based learning of local wisdom, through: introduction to local languages, traditional games, traditional arts, customs, and so on; (2) Strengthening mutual relations between teachers and students in the learning process and in everyday life as a manifestation of social competence and personality competence; (3) Increasing the existence of teacher deliberation forums for subjects based on learning the character of local wisdom; (4) Produce students who not only have intellectual intelligence, but have affective intelligence derived from ethics, good morals, honesty, discipline that can be obtained from the values of local wisdom. To achieve this goal, the method carried out is training by focusing on socialization and FGD approaches. The socialization and FGD approach emphasizes the strategy of partnership and synergy between teachers by strengthening the forum for teacher deliberation on local content subjects. The results of the Internal Community Partnership Program show that: (1). Training to Improve the Competence of Elementary School Teachers through Character-Based Learning Local Wisdom is a vehicle for teachers to understand, master, and implement it in a learning process synergized with traditional cultural values such as: traditional arts, traditional games, traditional knowledge, and so on; (2) Training on Improving the Competence of Elementary School Teachers through Character-Based Learning Local Wisdom can improve professional competence, pedagogic competence, personality competence, and teacher social competence to encourage students to understand knowledge in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective realms.

Abstract

The management of agricultural land that is still conventional and the lack of information related to land management has caused the condition of several agricultural lands in Lambakara Village to be quite concerning. The condition of Lambakara Village which is directly adjacent to the village with hilly topography and steep slopes can cause Lambakara Village to be prone to landslides and flooding. In addition, the quality and quantity of soil can decrease as a result of long-term agricultural management. One alternative to overcome the problems faced by Lambakara Village is the application of the Agroforestry system. the purpose of this service is to provide knowledge and learning to farmers as an effort to increase public knowledge about agroforestry applications. The initial stage was carried out in the form of a location survey stage to find out which community lands could be used and have the potential to implement the Agroforestry system. The socialization stage was in the form of interviews and coordination with village officials, related stakeholders, and the community in introducing the Agroforestry system as an effort to conserve agricultural land to support sustainable agriculture. The implementation stage is in the form of public education regarding the Agroforestry system and direct planting of forestry plants on community agricultural land. All stages of community service activities in Lambakara Village were carried out well. The involvement of village officials and the local community is the main indicator of achieving the target of this activity. As many as 300 nutmeg seedlings were successfully planted on the community's agricultural land

Abstract

This Community Service Program is titled "Guidance and Counseling Services for School Dropouts in Bungkutoko Village, Nambo District, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. In general, the purpose of this service activity is through training activities, the community is given knowledge so that they can optimize their willingness to continue their higher education and try to have skills so that they can work in companies in the village of Bungkutoka and even be able to create their own businesses that can support their needs their lives are more worthy and encourage community participation towards school dropouts so that they can implement the learning that has been obtained. The implementation method of this activity is in the form of a needs analysis method, which is a method or method to find out the difference between the desired/ought condition (should be/ought to be) or expected condition and the existing condition (what is), analysis through perspective analysis, FGD Method, and approach method and partner participation. The product produced in this community service activity is the formation of an understanding of the concept of the importance of education. Apart from these achievements, some external targets achieved through this activity include: scientific publication in journals; publication in electronic mass media (Sultra kini/Media online); method or system and accompanied by a dedicated team as a result of following this activity.

Abstract

Community Service Program, in the form of dissemination of the manufacture and promotion of Southeast Sulawesi typical craft art products to students majoring in Oral Traditions, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Halu Oleo University to increase student understanding in making Southeast Sulawesi handicrafts and their promotion as part of tourism industry products as well support the Merdeka-Learning Curriculum of the Merdeka Campus. It is done bearing in mind that there is no practice or direct observation in courses related to tourism, such as tourism promotion management and the tourism industry. As a result, several students experienced difficulties in understanding and implementing the lecture material received, as seen from the quality of student assignments. The results of the activity showed quite a high student enthusiasm in direct observation of the stages of making and promoting Southeast Sulawesi handicrafts by the Southeast Sulawesi Regional National Craft Council, which generally consisted of three categories, namely silver, woven, and woven fabrics.

Abstract

Multiculturalism in Indonesia is not a new thing. Various ethnic groups from Sabang to Merauke, various languages and dialects make Indonesian people so accustomed to diversity and implement a respectful life with one another. However, it is not uncommon to find an attitude of intolerance in response to the culture of other communities. Community service in socialising and instilling the value of multiculturalism to students of the English Literature Study Program at Halu Oleo University is considered very important to do. This activity was held on 26 June 2022 by presenting two main speakers with 70 participants through the Google Meet application. The method used was by presenting material about Muticulturalism in America which was illustrated one of them through literary works written by people with American citizenship but of Asian, European, African and other blood. Their literary works illustrate the forms of multiculturalism that they not only experience but also tell as it happens around them. This activity is a moment of counselling for UHO English Literature students who will soon complete their education and work in the community.

Abstract

Community service activities have been carried out regarding education on recycling bark waste for the Sei Jang Tanjungpinang coastal community group. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge to the community regarding the technical recycling of recycling bark waste shells into useful-value products. This is an effort to minimize large waste from leftover seafood which is inorganic and very difficult to decompose in the environment. The problem faced by the community is an increase in the amount of food waste originating from seafood, especially the Barking Snail (Strombus sp). Along with an increase in population and an increase in the number of culinary tourists visiting Tanjungpinang City, it will have an impact on increasing the volume of shell waste, which will ultimately have an impact on increasing the load of waste discharged into the aquatic environment. This is a very serious problem to be addressed, considering that the shell waste is very difficult to degrade in nature. The method used in this activity is practical training methods and assistance in the process of recycling bark waste shells to produce handicraft products in the form of handicrafts in the form of flower decorations and other handicrafts, as well as assistance to form community groups that recycle shells by flying. The results that have been achieved in this activity are the realization of the application of science and technology through the application of technical cleaning and bleaching and processing of Gonggong shell waste into environmentally friendly products. In addition, the formation of community institutions for coastal community groups that are able to manage and carry out joint activities in recycling waste into handicraft products in the form of handicrafts that can bring in income for the community.
