Abstract

Leaf blight is one of the crucial diseases caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzae (Xoo) bacterial. Using of phyllosphere bacteria as biocontrol agents to againts Leaf |Blight disease has problem because can not to combination with synthetic bactericide applied. This study aims to determining potention of rice phyllosphere bacteria isolate against Xanthomonas oryzae pv.Oryzae caused of Leaf Blight Disease, and in vitro test Streptomycin sulfate resistance response. This research was conducted in Plant Disease Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tanjungpura during 2 months. This study used 21 rice filosphere bacteria isolates. This research used paper disc method with concentrate levels 0 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 250 ppm, 500 ppm. The result of this study showed that 6 isolates of rice filosphere bacteria have the potential to suppress the growth of Xanthomonas oryzae and are resistant to antibiotics (Streptomycin sulfate) up to 500 ppm. Key words: Leaf Blight Disease, biocontrol agent, phyllosphere, Resistance, Bactericide

Abstract

Culture media is one of the main factors that determine the success propagation with in vitro culture. Basic media in vitro culture such as Murashige and Skoog (MS) with the addition of complex organic compounds can increase plantlet growth in tissue culture.This study aims to determine the effect of the addition various types organic supplements to MS media on the growth of Phalaenopsis hybrid sub-culture in vitro. This study began from 14 August to 14 December 2018 in the Biotechnology Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, Tanjungpura University.The methodology that was in study used Completely Randomized Designed (CRD) consisted of 6 treatments, 4 treatments and each replications there were 4 plant sample. The treatment is as follows : U= MS; V= MS+ Coconut Water Supplement; W= MS+Beans Sprout Supplement; X=MS+Carrot Supplement; Y= MS+ Aloe Vera Supplement and Z= MS+ Tomatoes supplement  for each treatment 100 ml / L of organic supplements were added. The variable observed in this study were increment number of leaves (sheet), increment number of root (sheet), Number of shoots ( Shoots) and time formed budding (Weeks after planting). The research showed that provision of a type various organic supplements on MS media has not been able to improve the growth of the hybrid Phalaenopsis orchid subculture on all observed variables.  Key Words :In Vitro, Media Murashige and Skoog (MS), Orchid, Organic supplement, Phalaenopsis hybrid.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the formulation of the use of cassava starch and gelatin on the physicochemical and organoleptic properties of marshmallows. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) by 1 factor consisting of 7 levels formulation of cassava starch concentration. Each treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 28 combination samples. Parameters of observation included water content, ash content, texture, total dissolved solids, and sensory. Effectiveness Index Test results showed that the best concentration was found in the best concentration was found in the  addition of 4.65g cassava, 19,85g gelatin starch concentration, by the physcochemical and scusory properties water content was 19,93%, ash content was 1,62%, texture was 0,025kg, total dissolved solids were 26,30°Brix. The best sensory test results were 4,72 (likes) sweetness, 4,72 (likes) texture, 4,72 (likes) color and 4,68 (likes) elasticity. Keywords: Cassava Starch, Formulations, Gelatin, Marshmallows

Abstract

Minyak Goreng Kelapa “Nyiur Hijau” merupakan produk unggulan dari UKM Beringin Putri di Kota Singkawang yang memiliki potensi untuk di tingkatkan pemasarannya. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis faktor lingkungan internal dan eskternal, merumuskan alternatif strategi serta menganalisis prioritas strategi yang dapat di jalankan UKM Beringin Putri Kota Singkawang. Jumlah sampel 23 responden yang terdiri dari 7 responden pakar dan 16 responden stakeholder. Hasil analisis SWOT menunjukan bahwa strategi yang sebaiknya diterapkan oleh UKM Beringin Putri ialah menggunakan strategi Weakness-Opportunity (strategi W-O), alternatif pilihan strategi ialah: meningkatkan promosi dengan penggunaan teknologi informasi, mengupayakan modal melalui kerjasama dengan pemerintah dan menerapkan sistem informasi manajemen.Kata Kunci: UKM Beringin Putri, minyak goreng kelapa, strategi pemasaran, Analisis SWOT.

Abstract

This research aimed to know level of tolerance red spinach to salinity stress. This research was conducted in Pontianak from July 9th to August 2nd 2019. The method used was the completely randomized design (CRD). Comprised of 6 concentration level. Concentration level was the: 0, 2.000, 4.000, 6.000, 8.000 and 10.000 ppm. The variables observed in this research were fresh weight, root volume, leaf area, root dry weight and shoot dry weight. The results showed that the red spinach was tolerance the salinity stress of 8.000 ppm NaCl but the more salt accumulation increased the stunted growth.Keywords : Tolerance Test, Red Spinach, Salinity Stress

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan konsentrasi POC limbah sayuran hijau yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil sawi hijau pada tanah gambut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari tanggal 3 April sampai dengan 3 Mei 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dengan 5 ulangan dan tiap ulangan terdiri dari 4 tanaman sampel. Perlakuan yang dimaksud adalah p1= POC limbah sayuran hijau dengan konsentrasi 5 ml/liter air, p2= POC limbah sayuran hijau dengan konsentrasi 10 ml/liter air, p3= POC limbah sayuran hijau dengan konsentrasi 15 ml/liter air, p4= POC limbah sayuran hijau dengan konsentrasi 20 ml/liter air, p5= POC limbah sayuran hijau dengan konsentrasi 25 ml/liter air. Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini yaitu volume akar (cm3), jumlah klorofil daun (spad unit), luas daun (cm2), berat kering tanaman (g), jumlah daun (helai) dan berat segar tanaman (g). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini tidak ditemukan konsentrasi POC limbah sayuran hijau yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil sawi hijau pada tanah gambut tetapi konsentrasi POC yang efektif untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil sawi hijau pada tanah gambut ditunjukkan dengan pemberian limbah sayuran hijau konsentrasi 10 ml/liter air.Kata kunci: gambut, limbah sayuran hijau, poc, sawi hijau

Abstract

The production of black rice has decreased due to disease attacks. One way to improve rice resistance to disease is through the induction of mutations with gamma ray radiation. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the resistance of black rice induced by Co-60 by 0 Gy, 200 Gy and 300 Gy against disease. The research was conducted on BBI's land in Sungai Kakap Village, Kubu Raya Regency during one planting season, from October 2017 to April 2018. This research used a descriptive research method. Each treatment was observed as many as 50 rice plants, so that the total sample of observation is 150 plants. Observations were made 3 times, during vegetative, maximum vegetative, and generative periods. Disease identification is done in two ways which are macroscopic and microscopic. Assessment of the severity of the disease is guided by the guidebook. The results of the study found 4 diseases that attack black rice mutant plants, namely narrow brown spots, leaf and collar blast disease, fusarium disease, and midrib blight. Narrow brown spot disease, rice irradiated by 200 Gy is the most resistant with medium - rather resistant category. Leaf blast disease, rice that is not irradiated is most resistant with medium - rather resistant category. Panicle blast disease, rice irradiated by 200 Gy is most resistant with medium - resistant category. Keywords: Black rice, Cobalt-60 induction, disease scoring

Abstract

Natural factors that often become obstacles in corn production are aluminum (Al) poisoning. Al poisoning is a major limiting factor for plant growth and yield, especially corn plants on dry land that reacts sourly in wet tropical regions.  One other alternative that can be done is by using varieties that are well-adapted to the conditions of Al poisoning. Testing of varieties that are resistant to aluminum poisoning can be obtained by testing the germination phase. That’s phase is a fast alternative because it does not require a long time and environmental conditions can be compared to testing until the vegetative and generative phases.This study aims ware to determine the response of several maize varieties on the germination phase of aluminum poisoning. This research was conducted in June 2019 at the Laboratory of Agronomy and Climatology at the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. The experiment used in this study was a single randomized complete design of 5 maize varieties. The treatments used were A = Lamuru, B = Bay Bayur, C = Yellow Srikandi, D = Sukmaraga, E = Bhishma. Observation variables consisted of water content (%), germination (%), vigor index (%), growth rate (% / etmal), root length (cm), plumula length (cm) and normal seed dry weight (g).The results showed that the results of diversity analysis showed that several maize varieties in aluminum stress significantly affected the variable root length and normal seed dry weight, but it did not significantly affect the germination power, index vigor, growth speed, and length of the plumula. Keywords: aluminum, corn, germination

Abstract

This research tries to analyze candied nutmeg home industry in Pulau Lemukutan Village, Sungai Raya Kepulauan District. Using descriptive analysis research methods and using 52 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the total costs incurred are Rp 3,804,472 per production, receipts obtained Rp 8,548,254, income earned Rp 5,172,138 and profit of Rp 4,743,782. Judging from the R / C value greater than 1, which is 2.24. Almost every Rp. 1.00 of the costs incurred, obtained Rp. 2.24. So, the candied nutmeg home industry is worth the effort. Labor productivity obtained Rp 5,121,014. This value is higher than the Bengkayang Regency UMK, which is Rp 2,364,776 per month. Capital productivity values obtained 1.46%. This value is greater than the savings interest which is 0.28%. More capital is needed if the candied nutmeg home industry is employed than combined.Keyword : Candied Nutmeg, Home Industry, Feasibility
