Abstract

Nutritional problems that occur in Indonesia, including anemia due to lack of nutrients, namely lack of carbohydrates, lack of fat, lack of protein, lack of vitamins and minerals. Anemia is usually suffered by adolescent girls because during their growth period they need higher nutrients, both micronutrients and macronutrients. This study aims to identify the relationship between nutrient intake and the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls aged 14-16 years through a literature review. The method used is a literature study obtained from Pubmed and Google Schoolar. The results showed that one journal in the study explained that there was a relationship between nutritional intake and anemia, there was one journal that explained that there was a relationship between nutritional intake, namely protein, iron, but there was no relationship between vitamin C intake and the incidence of anemia. There is one journal that shows there is a relationship between nutrient intake, namely carbohydrates, iron and vitamin C, but there is no relationship between protein intake and the incidence of anemia. There are 4 journals that show there is no relationship between nutrient intake and the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls. The conclusion of a small number of journals states that nutritional intake in adolescent girls aged 14-16 years is associated with the occurrence of anemia in adolescent girls. Abstract

The incidence of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea) in MAN 2 Jember was 61.6%. This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of William's flexion exercise with warm compresses on primary dysmenorrhoea pain. The research design used a Quasi-Experiment with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of 37 female students and the sample taken was a sample that met the inclusion criteria contained in chapter three as many as 34 students, the sample was divided into 2 treatment groups, namely 17 students were treated with William's Flexion exercise and 17 students were treated with warm compresses. This research uses simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used the Standard Operational Procedure and Numeric Rating Scale, with the Wilcoxon match pairs test and the Mann Whitney U test. Wilcoxon test results p-value 0.000, and an error level of 5% (2-sided test), which means that there is a difference in the level of dysmenorrhoea pain before and after being given warm compresses and William's flexion exercise and the results of the Mann Whitney U test obtained Z value = -1.285 with an error rate of 5%, then -1.96 <-1.285 <+1.96, meaning that there is no difference in the effectiveness of William's Flexion Exersice with warm compresses on primary dysmenorrhoea. The two methods are equally effective in reducing primary dysmenorrhoea pain, although there are slight differences. Where a warm compress is better at reducing the pain intensity of primary dysmenorrhoea. Keywords: Warm Compress, William's Flexion Exercise, Primary Dysmenorrhoea

Abstract

Complications of pregnancy and childbirth are a contributing factor in maternal mortality due to being at “4 extreme conditions” (too young, too old, too close to birth spacing, and too much). This research aimed to to show the description of pregnancy and childbirth complications at “4 extreme conditions” in Puskesmas Jabung, Malang Regency. This research used a descriptive design with a retrospective approach. The research population was all pregnant and childbirth women with 4 extreme conditions who experienced complications of pregnancy and childbirth and were recorded in the mother cohort and labor report books from January 1 to September 30 2019 with total sampling technique, obtained a sample of 52 respondents. The research instrument used data collection tables to identify complications of pregnancy and childbirth that occurred in each respondent. Data analysis used univariate analysis by processing data into percentages. The results showed that the most pregnancy complications were anemia (59%), pre-eclampsia / eclampsia (31%), and multiple complications in pregnancy are anemia and pre-eclampsia / eclampsia (10%), while the most labor complications were preterm birth ( 42%), postpartum hemorrhage (25%), prolonged labor (19%), premature rupture of membranes (8%), and multiple complications are premature rupture of membranes and preterm birth and prolonged labor and postpartum hemorrhage, respectively 3%. Anemia and preterm birth are the highest incidence of pregnancy and childbirth complicatios at 4 extreme condition. Based on the results of this studies should be material information or insight for the community, especially women and families to consider planning the right time to get pregnant. Abstract

One of the efforts to prevent delays in handling complications is the birth planning and complications prevention program (P4K). If every pregnant woman implements P4K, it is hoped that if complications occur in her pregnancy, she will be able to handle it as early as possible. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the behavior of pregnant women in implementing P4K and the readiness of pregnant women to face complications in the Kedok Village, the working area of ??Puskesmas Turen. This study used a correlational study design with a cross-sectional approach, a population of 45 pregnant women, and the sampling using simple random sampling technique with a sample size of 40 pregnant women who had met the inclusion criteria, namely pregnant women who had received an explanation about P4K and already had P4K stickers, willing to be respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire on the behavior of pregnant women in implementing P4K and a questionnaire on the readiness of pregnant women to face complications. Data analysis used the chi-square test with a significance level of ? 0.05. The results showed a relationship between the behavior of pregnant women in implementing P4K and the readiness of pregnant women to face complications (p-value <0.001). Pregnant women can carry out P4K as an effort to increase the readiness of pregnant women in facing possible complications. Keywords: Pregnant Mother Behavior, P4K, Readiness, Complications

Abstract

The puerperium period is the initial period of breastfeeding and is a determinant of the success of exclusive breastfeeding, but there are still many formula feedings because breast milk does not come out immediately at the first puerperium. Rolling back massage is a method of overcoming barriers to breastfeeding at the beginning of birth, which is to speed up the timing of breastfeeding. The study aimed to analyze the effect of back massage on the timing of breastfeeding for breastfeeding mothers. This type of pre-experimental research used intact-group comparison design, a population of 30 nursing mothers, using purposive sampling technique according to inclusion criteria, research instruments using observation sheets and SOPs. Divided into 2 groups, the observation and treatment groups, the treatment group who received back massage for 2-3 minutes twice a day. The results showed that the group that was given the back massage technique had a mean value of 11 while the group that was not given a back massage had a mean value of 19. This means that those who are given a rolling back massage when breastfeeding is faster than those who are not given a rolling back massage. Analysis of the data using the Mann Whitney test obtained a p-value of 0.028 which indicates that there is an effect of rolling back massage on the timing of breastfeeding. Midwives can provide a back massage technique for mothers who do not immediately come out of breast milk at the beginning of birth, so that the time to release breast milk is faster.
