Abstract

The purpose of this research is to arrange the stages of implementation of the ABILA precast concrete construction method to be applied to housing construction so that it can be used as a reference for future development. While the purpose of this research is to arrange the stages of housing construction with ABILA precast panels starting from the precast concrete production stage, transportation or mobilization of materials to the installation process and final completion. Precast concrete can speed up processing time, save costs, and minimize waste for formwork and scaffolding. In the world of construction, any waste of construction material must be reduced or even eliminated. The application of Precast Concrete is very easy, considering its plug and play nature. Besides being easy, precast concrete has quite a lot of applications, especially the Abila Panel which has a function as a building structure, it can also be used as fences, floors and drainage channels. The level of the implementation method for the development of precast concrete technology is divided into several levels between prefabrication, preassembly, and module. The implementation method of building a house with ABILA precast concrete takes 14 days in the field, starting from panel installation to finishing. The construction method includes prefabrication in the workshop, mobilization of panels to the job site, assembly of structural elements, installation of brick walls, installation of roof structures and roof coverings, electrical and mechanical floor work, installation of ventilation doors and windows and paint finishing.

Abstract

A study was conducted to evaluate the application of Lead Rubber Bearing (LRB) on bridge structures. The length of steel arch bridge is 80 m, width of 10 m, and height of 19.6 m. The bridge is simply supported with two bearings on each support. Structural analysis reveals that the lateral force on the bearing is more than 400 tons (835 tons in longitudinal direction). The original designer"™s intention is to use pot bearings. However, the pot bearing was required to undergo some mechanical test to verify its properties prior to installation. Due to its size, this scheme is not applicable due to the limitations of the testing facility. Therefore, an alternative design was evaluated using LRB to reduce the reaction force, hence downsize the bearing size. The LRB used is of LRB 7500 characteristics, and the calculation refers to AASHTO Guide Specifications for Seismic Isolation Design (GSID), 4th edition 2014.The analysis shows that applying LRB on the bridge lengthened the structural period from 0.76 seconds to 1.67 seconds. It also increased the damping ratio from 5% to 43 %. With these significant changes in structural parameters, lateral forces due to earthquake loads on the bearing and foundation can be greatly reduced. The study found that replacing pot bearings with LRBs can reduce the lateral force to 80 tons, approximately one fifth from the previous design. Correspondingly, the internal forces of some major structural components of the bridge can be reduced due to the application of LRB.

Abstract

Sedimentation is a crucial factor when it comes to river problems. Sediment can cause silting of the river so that its capacity be reduced and can cause overflow of water to the surface. Every year, Districts of Nanga Mahap at Sekadau Regency always experiences flooding and the problem is still happening up until now. One of the causes of the occurrence of flooding in Nanga Mahap District is the overflow of the Mahap River. This study aims to determine the characteristics and rates of bottom sediment transport rate in the downstream of the Mahap River. Sediment collection was carried out on 8 segments of the estuary. In the study, laboratory tests were carried out regarding specific gravity and grain size of sediment particles refers to the texture classification by USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) and freight rate calculations Basic Sediment with Duboys Method. Based on characteristic analysis Mahap River sediments obtained the average D50 sediment grain diameter value from all research points that is equal to 1.63 mm, the results of testing the specific gravity the average obtained is 2.754 gr/cm3 so that it can be classified in the form of coarse grains with a type of sand sediment. The largest base sediment transport rate of bed load occurred at point 2 of 8.816 tons/day and the smallest was at point 7, which is 0.154 tons/day. From the calculation, result shows that if the velocity of falling particles is greater than the velocity of the flow of river water, therefor the sediment particles will settle.

Abstract

The soil condition in Pontianak City is mostly soft soil and peat soil which causes the low bearing capacity of the soil. Various efforts have been made to increase the bearing capacity of the soil, such as the use of wooden pile (kayu cerucuk). With the limited availability of wooden pile, the use of precast piles is an alternative in increasing the bearing capacity of the soil on the foundations of buildings/housings in Pontianak City. The purpose of this study is to compare the productivity and costs of using a wooden pile foundation measuring 12/15 cm with a length of 9-12 M against the use of a square precast concrete pile foundation measuring 15x15 cm2 with a segment length of 3-4 M at a depth of 12-20 M and a size of 12-20 M. 20x20 cm2 with a segment length of 6 M at a depth of 12-18 M in low-rise buildings in Pontianak City. From the results of the study, it is known that the productivity and average cost of piling per M' in a 2-storey shophouse building with an alternative foundation using 12/15 cm cerucuk piles is 22.3 seconds/m' at a cost of Rp. 17,306.24, precast piles square 15 x 15 cm2 of 111.5 seconds/m' at a cost of Rp. 144,274,439 and precast square piles of 20 x 20 cm2 of 125.7 seconds/m' at a cost of Rp. 291,338,955. In a type 150 house building with an alternative foundation using 12/15 cm wooden piles of 18.05 seconds/m' at a cost of Rp. 17,185.58, precast square piles of 15 x 15 cm2 of 104.67 seconds/m at a cost of Rp. 143,890.04 and 20 x 20 cm2 square precast piles of 94.66 seconds/m' with a cost of Rp. 289,724.234. The cost of foundation work with alternative foundations using precast square piles of 15 x 15 cm2 is the most efficient both from the aspect of driving costs, overall costs and the cost of the unit load carried by the foundation

Abstract

Along with the development progress in Indonesia, it causes the reduction of green areas. Coupled with the lack of public awareness of the environment is a problem that must be considered. Pervious concrete that be as one of the solutions in pavement construction, concrete sheet piles, retaining walls is a product that can be considered successfully in meeting expectations as an environmentally friendly construction. For road pavement, pervious concrete must have a strength of 30 MPa. Therefore, there is a need for research for the mix design of pervious concrete using the ACI 522R-10 Report on Pervious Concrete method with an initial design compressive strength of 25 MPa. The method is to vary the coarse aggregate used in the pervious concrete mixture. In this research, it is divided into 5 variations to find a mixture that is in accordance with the plan or which exceeds the initial plan, and its permeability still meets the requirements for pervious concrete. Testing of the specimens includes the volume weight test, compressive strength, split tensile strength, modulus of elasticity of concrete, porosity, absorption, and permeability. From the research, the results of the volume weight of pervious concrete are 1,974.14 - 2,187.83 kg/m3 that pervious concrete is included in the lightweight concrete group due to it has a weight below 2,200 kg/m3 . The average compressive strength of pervious concrete is 20.089 "“ 46.978 MPa. The value of the split tensile strength of pervious concrete is 8,968-19,127 MPa. The average value of porosity is between 8,307 "“ 13,097%. The average value of absorption is between 3.452 "“ 5.444%. The average value of the permeability is between 0.0025-0.487 cm3/sec. From this research, it can be concluded that the use of different coarse aggregates size will produce pervious concrete with different compressive strengths. The compressive strength with aggregate size 0.5x0.5 without sieving, it closed to the initial plan of 27.72 MPa, whereas the highest compressive strength is for a mixed aggregate size of 1/1 and 0.5/0.5 cm with sieving that the compressive strength achieved 46.978 MPa
