Abstract

Blood group examination is an important procedure in blood transfusion practice to prevent fatal hemolytic reactions. The ABO and Rhesus blood group systems are genetically inherited following Mendelian laws. This study examined the relationship between parental blood groups and blood groups of Medical Laboratory Technology students at Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto through slide method examination. A descriptive analytic design with a cross-sectional approach was used. The population was students using purposive sampling technique. Blood group examination was carried out using the slide agglutination method with antisera reagents A, B, AB, and D. Data were analyzed using Chi Square test with a significance level of 0.05. The distribution of student blood groups was found to be O 20 people (37.0%), B 18 people (33.3%), A 11 people (20.4%), and AB 5 people (9.3%). The Chi Square test results showed no significant relationship between father's blood group and students (p=0.080), but there was a significant relationship between mother's blood group and students (p=0.000). This study found that student blood groups are more influenced by mother's blood group than father's. It is recommended that students know their blood type as important medical data for blood transfusion and organ transplantation purposes.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is one of the most common infectious diseases in Indonesia and has potential complications that can prolong the duration of hospitalization. Length of hospitalization is influenced by various factors such as knowledge and personal hygiene. Identification of these factors is necessary so that the patient management process can be carried out more effectively. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the length of hospitalization of typhoid patients at Class IV Hospital 020704 Bandar Lampung. Using a cross-sectional design involving 59 respondents selected through accidental sampling technique. Data were collected in August-September 2025 using a questionnaire data analysis with the chi-square test with a significance level of p 0.05. The results showed that most patients were hospitalized for less than 6 days. There was a significant correlation between gender (p = 0.026), insurance coverage (p = 0.003), knowledge level (p = 0.026), and personal hygiene (p = 0.001) and length of stay. Low levels of knowledge and personal hygiene were associated with longer hospital stays. It can be concluded that gender, insurance coverage, knowledge level, and personal hygiene influence the length of stay for typhoid patients. Therefore, increasing health education and improving hygiene are crucial to accelerate patient recovery

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of bullying behavior and their impact on students’ mental health in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah environment. This research is specifically conducted within the context of MI Istiqomah Pekanbaru as the educational setting that serves as the focus of the discussion. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were collected through a systematic examination and analysis of relevant scientific sources, including reference books, national and international journal articles, and previous studies addressing bullying and mental health issues among school-aged children. The findings indicate that the most common forms of bullying in madrasah settings include verbal, physical, and psychological bullying. The impacts of bullying on students’ mental health include feelings of fear, anxiety, stress, decreased self-confidence, and reduced learning motivation. The study also reveals that bullying prevention efforts can be implemented through character education based on Islamic values, strengthening the role of teachers as educators and role models, and fostering collaboration between madrasahs and parents. This study is expected to serve as a conceptual reference for madrasahs in formulating bullying prevention strategies and in creating a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning environment

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of digital technology on hospital management in the context of changing healthcare policies. The main focus of the research is to understand how the implementation of digital technology can enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction within the dynamic healthcare policy environment. The research design used is quantitative with a survey approach, where data was collected through questionnaires from 50 respondents working in hospitals that have adopted digital technology. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between digital technology variables and hospital management. The main findings of this study indicate that digital technology improves operational efficiency and patient satisfaction, but is also confronted with challenges such as inadequate staff training and data security issues. Additionally, supportive healthcare policies accelerate the adoption of digital technology in hospitals. This study contributes to hospital management literature by highlighting the important role of digital technology in improving healthcare services. The practical implication of these findings is the importance of supporting policies and adequate staff training. Future research is recommended to adopt a longitudinal design and expand the sample to monitor the long-term impact of digital technology in hospitals

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that reflects impaired linear growth resulting from the interaction of biological, social, and environmental factors since early life. The prevalence of stunting remains high, as indicated by national data showing rates of 24.4% in 2021 and 21.6% in 2022. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of stunting severity among children under five based on a history of exclusive breastfeeding and household socioeconomic status. This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach using secondary data obtained from medical records of children under five at Sokaraja I Primary Health Center, Banyumas Regency. The study sample consisted of 328 stunted children selected through total sampling. Stunting severity was classified into stunted and severely stunted based on height-for-age (HAZ) indicators according to WHO standards. Independent variables included a history of exclusive breastfeeding and household socioeconomic status. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of p 0.05. The results showed a statistically significant association between a history of exclusive breastfeeding and stunting severity, in which children who did not receive exclusive breastfeeding were more likely to experience more severe stunting. In addition, household socioeconomic status was significantly associated with stunting severity, with a higher proportion of severe stunting observed among children from low-income families. In conclusion, stunting severity among children under five is associated with exclusive breastfeeding practices and household socioeconomic conditions, highlighting the need for comprehensive stunting prevention strategies through strengthened midwifery care and multisectoral approaches
