Abstract

This article explores the concepts of history and dialectics in the perspective of Hegel's philosophy. History, defined as a science that studies concrete events based on the processes that occur, is understood through two key elements: events and dialectics. Events are absolute and objective, while dialectics is a communication process involving thesis, antithesis and synthesis. In Hegel's view, history not only records what happened but also describes the evolution of human thought through a dialectical process. According to Hegel: genuine history, reflective history, and philosophical history. Genuine history, as practiced by Herodotus and Thucydides, includes direct narration of events. Reflective history, outlined in Hegel's works such as the "Phenomenology of Spirit", describes the journey of human thought through time. Philosophical history, on the other hand, emphasizes the development of philosophy as a reflection of the history of human consciousness.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of cutting parameters on a laser cutting machine when used on acrylic material. The primary objective of this study is to analyze how cutting speed, electric current, and the type of material affect the quality of the cutting results. An experimental method was employed by varying the cutting speed and adjusting the electric current during the process, followed by measuring the width and precision of the cuts produced. The findings indicate that as cutting speed increases, the width of the cut decreases, resulting in a finer cut. Additionally, higher electric currents can enhance the precision of the cut, ensuring more accurate results. Furthermore, materials with lower melting points were found to be easier to cut with less effort. These results emphasize that the correct combination of cutting parameters is crucial in achieving optimal cutting performance and improving productivity. This study concludes that careful calibration of cutting speed, current, and material selection is essential for obtaining high-quality laser cutting outcomes and enhancing manufacturing efficiency.

Abstract

Elementary School (SD) teachers have a psychological workload because their students are still children. These demands must be adapted by elementary school teacher education students in order to be ideal as elementary teachers. The research aimed to determine the effect of psychological well-being on career adaptability mediated by emotional intelligence in early adult students of Elementary School Teacher Education in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Participants totaled 101 students aged 18-25 years. The research was designed by nonprobability sampling which was analyzed using path analysis. The career adaptability scale used Career Adapt-Abilities Short Form 5 Factor with a validity of 0.716-0.98 with a significance of 0.000-0.001 and a reliability of 0.75-0.93; psychological well-being applied Psychological Well-Being with a validity and reliability of 0.6-0.97 and a significance of 0.000-0.001; and emotional intelligence adapted Emotional Intelligence with a validity of 0.603-0.72 with a significance of 0.000 and a reliability of 0.742-0.9061. The results showed the accumulation of Standardized Coefficients Beta as much as 0.159 with a significance of 0.000-0.001. Meanwhile, the Standardized Coefficients Beta between psychological well-being and career adaptability is only 0.094. Thus, psychological well-being has a significant indirect effect as much as 0.159 on career adaptability through emotional intelligence. Further research suggestions examine the advanced assessments and intervention of psychological well-being effect's on career adaptability through emotional intelligence in college students.
