Abstract

Family plays an important role in planning and presenting a balanced diet for the elderly to fulfillment the nutritional. The purpose of this study was to identify family role of nutrition in elderly. This research used household suvey. The family role of nutrition all needs in elderly as variable in this research. Families with elderly amounted to 37 respondents as samples which is selected by consecutive sampling. Collecting data using questionnaires, the data obtained and analyzed using T score. The results showed that most respondents have a positive role to fulfill the nutritional needs of elderly people was about 19 respondents (51.4%). Families indicated a positive role by planning meals and preparing a balanced diet for the elderly in everyday life. Planning involved setting eating meals and beverages, food ingredients and size selection of food consumption, while the preparation of a balanced diet for the elderly include, restriction of certain food ingredients for the health of the elderly, limiting the size of the consumption of carbohydrates, proteins, and other food. The role of the family was very important for the health of the elderly, families that play a positive role in fulfilling the nutritional needs of older adults, the elderly will be spared from a variety of degenerative diseases and less susceptible to infectious diseases. The conclusion of this study was the validity of nutrient intake will influence the nutritional status of elderly which is depends on the role of nutrition to elderly families.

Abstract

Malnutrition on the Indonesian infant was the main problem to get optimally healthy for infant. There were some programs to infant which made by government to rehabilitate nutrition status of infant. one of them was posyandu (integrated service post). The action of posyandu is done by cadre. The data told about presenting infant in Posyandu haven’t yet fulfilled the best target; they had problem that need the best way to solve it. The aim of this study is to determine effect of additional feeding in presenting infant at Posyandu. This was observational study by analytical method. The writer used secondary data that consist of visiting posyandu and additional feeding infant that observed by checklist. There was 80 respondents. The result showed that there was 6o infants (80%) from 80 infants are given by PMT (additional feeding), and 48 infants (80%) come to posyandu, then 12 infants (12%) didn’t come to posyandu. The result of Chi square is known by chi square count > chi square table (6,77>3,841). The analysis of chi square showed that additional feeding by self- financing could affected presenting infants in posyandu. Additional feeding self-financing is proven to support presenting infant in posyandu. The hoped from communities by awareness self in presenting infant in posyandu is daily activities to need be done therefore without additional feeding, so that Indonesian infant gets the health services optimally.

Abstract

The support or involvement of the husband is very necessary in a mother's psychological development that facing the birth process. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between husband assistancy with anxiety on the laboring mother. This was a crossectional study. Assisted by husband as an independent variable and anxiety during labor as the dependent variable. The study population of all labor mothers in BPS Hj.Amalia Amd.Keb Simogirang, Prambon, Sidoarjo as many as 30 maternal. Samples were taken by concecutive sampling of 24 respondents. Data were collected with a questionnaire and tested with the chi square test and presented in tabular form. Results showed that 13 respondents who are not accompanied her husband there was 1 respondent (4.1%) who did not experience anxiety, 7 respondents (29.1%) had anxiety and 5 being the respondents (20.8%) experienced severe anxiety. The results of mann-whitney test data showed that Z = 2,531, Z table = 0.0288, ρ = 0,015 dan α = 0,05 so that ρ < α then H0 rejected and H1 accepted means there is a relationship between husband assistance with the level of anxiety when faced the labor. Husband assistance will give a good impact on psychological wives so that they can perform labor well, safely and smoothly.The results could be used as additional information and insight for the community about the delivery process so as to enhance the knowledge held by the public, especially the husband that will have children so as to determine appropriate action in the face of labor later.

Abstract

Premenstrual Syndrome is a combination of symptoms of physical distress, psychological, and behavioral change in which the symptoms are so severe that it interferes daily activities. Many women who experience disturbance before or during menstruation. This study was conducted to compare premenstrual syndrome among female students who have active and inactive sport in SMP PENANGGUNGAN Ngoro-Trawas. This study used a descriptive design. Population taken all the girls at SMP PENANGGUNGAN Ngoro-Trawas with a sample of 133 people that’s selected by consecutive samplin. of data collection using questionnaires and interviews. The variables in this study consisted of two variables, the are variable track the symptoms of PMS. The results of this study obtained a minority of respondents are actively running experiencing <50% symptoms of PMS as many as six respondents (4.5%), and most respondents did not actively exercise ≥ 50% experienced symptoms of PMS as many as 125 respondents ( 94%). This is obtained because the student is not active sport girl sport considered when experiencing PMS can only aggravate the pain but with exercise can decrease PMS symptoms.When jogging is done regularly for three times a week with a frequency of 20-45 minutes, will reduce the symptoms of PMS like symptoms characterized by physical, headache, pain pungggung, aching rheumatic pain, acne, breast tenderness, heavy legs, abdominal pain bottom, flatulence, diarrhea, often hungry, and mental symptoms are marked with an uneasy feeling, irritability, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and personality seemed to disappear. Therefore, students should be more motivated by the problem of PMS symptoms and can be run with regular exercise for 3 times a week, and applied in everyday life.

Abstract

Women with chronic conditions of less energy or less nutritional status during pregnancy often give birth to LBW. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship LILA size of pregnant women with weight babies born in BPS Ana Susanti. AMD. Keb, Balongbendo, Sidoarjo. The study used a retrospective design and the population is used throughout the birthing mother in 2010 as many as 138 people with a sample of 102 people that selected using Simple Random Sampling. The results analyzed using the test statistic wilxocon. Result showed the largest percentage (78.4%) of the group of respondents that have a size of ≥ 23.5 cm Lila there are 80 respondents. And the largest percentage of babies born to have a normal body weight that is there were 66 infants (64.7%). There is a significant relationship between the size of LILA pregnant women with weight babies born. LILA have relationships of pregnant women with birth weight performed the Wilcoxon test with significant level of 0.05 obtained value of Z = (3.494) with a significant level of 0.000. Due to a significant level of 0.000 then Ho is rejected, it means there is a relationship pregnant with Lila size birth weight. This is because of the intake of adequate nutrition at the time before and during pregnancy. Thus the required monitoring of health and nutritional status of pregnant mothers either in early pregnancy and during pregnancy is an effort to approach a potential in relation to increased maternal and child welfare.

Abstract

Most of the mothers still use diapers on their children when they can make a rash around his bottom. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the role of mothers with successful toilet training for children ages toddler in Play Group Tarbiyatush Shibiyan Mojoanyar Mojokerto.This type of research used Crossectional design. The indenpendent variable in this study is the role of parents and dependen variable is the success of toilet training. Population in this study were all mothers with children ages toddler in Play Group Tarbiyatush Shibiyan Mojoanyar Mojokerto, and 34 people selected as samples using the purposive sampling technique. Data analyzed using chi square test. The results obtained most of the respondents expressed support in the successful toilet training as many as 14 respondents (56%) and most of the respondents succeeded in potty training children as many as 17 respondents (68%). Chi square test results obtained sig count (ρ) = 0.004 <0.05 so that H0 is rejected, which means there is the influence of the role of mothers with successful toilet training for children ages toddler in Play Group Tarbiyatush Shibiyan Mojoanyar Mojokerto. The necessary patience and attention to a psychic so that toddler can successfully make toilet training. Health workers must provide health education to parents with young children about science-related health of children with toilet training so that parents can find out and provide a supporting role in her toddler.
