Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and psychological well-being in the elderly at Griya Wreda Jambangan Surabaya. This research is a type of quantitative research, using a saturated sampling method on the existing population, namely 152 elderly subjects at Griya Wreda Jambangan Surabaya. The data obtained were then processed using normality test, linearity test, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. Through the results of the product moment correlation test on the data obtained the results are 0.999** or close to 1. It can be found that there is a positive relationship between one's religiosity and psychological well-being. Referring to the significance value where 0.000 <0.05, it means that Ha is accepted, namely there is a relationship between religiosity and the psychological well-being of the elderly, where the higher the level of religiosity of the elderly, the higher the psychological well-being they have. Based on the value of Adjusted R Square in the tests conducted by researchers, the results obtained 66.8% where religiosity dominantly affects a person's psychological well-being, influenced by other variables being studied by researchers.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the need for affiliation with assertive behavior in students who follow student organizations at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The research uses a correlational quantitative approach. The sampling technique in this study is a proportional non random sampling technique with a sample size of 301. Data collection uses a psychological scale with a Likert scale model, namely affiliation needs scale and assertive behavior scale. Data analysis using Pearson Product Moment correlation technique using SPSS 25.0 for windows program. The results of this study indicate rxy = 0.606 and with a significance value of 0.000 where p <0.05, which means the researcher's hypothesis is accepted, namely there is a positive and significant relationship between the need for affiliation and assertive behavior in students who follow student organizations at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The effect of affiliation needs on assertive behavior is 36.7%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of Adversity Quotient in jujitsu athletes who have experienced minor post-match injuries where there are still many jujitsu athletes at Kemala Bhayangkari 3 Porong High School, Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo and Wijaya Putra University who lack the fighting power to achieve the achievements they want due to the injuries they suffered. Adversity quotient is a very important thing for an athlete to have. Adversity quotient can be influenced by several aspects, one of which is control (self-control). This type of research is a descriptive quantitative research method, this method is the right method to find out the results of this study which aims to determine the effect of the adversity quotient of athletes who have experienced minor post-match injuries. The total population in this study were 60 athletes. The sampling technique used is the Purposive Sampling Technique. Collecting data using a psychological scale with a Likert scale model. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistical analysis assisted by the SPSS 16.0 for windows program. The results of this study indicate that the adversity quotient of male and female jujitsu athletes has different levels, male athletes have a more dominant level and in terms of aspects, aspects of control (self control) are more dominant.

Abstract

Obesity is a condition of the body that has excess fat in the body, which can affect the subjective well-being of both subjects. This research will be conducted with the aim of describing subjective well-being to UMSIDA psychology students. There are 3 aspects that must be considered in subjective well-being, namely: positive affect, negative affect, and life satisfaction. This research uses phenomenological qualitative research methods, with a sample of 2 subjects with obesity who are studying at UMSIDA with psychology study program, the data collection technique that will be used is purposive sampling. The data collection technique used by the researcher is interviews. The result of the interview is that obesity has a different effect on the two subjects where for subject 1 obesity is bad luck for him, while for subject 2 obesity for him is only a body shape that can be changed and does not have a significant impact on the subject's subjective well-being.

Abstract

Adolescence is referred to as the period of self-discovery, where they begin to be sensitive to the environment around them. What happens in his environment and what is done by those around him greatly affects the formation of his personality. Researchers obtained data from BK teachers that there was an Academic Self-Regulation problem in students. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between Parent-child Secure Attachment and Academic Self-Regulation in X-grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Jabon. The study used quantitative approaches to correlation methods. The subjects in this study were students of class X smk Negeri 1 Jabon taken with nonprobability sampling techniques. The population of the study was grade X students and sample-setters from the research population used Isaac and Michael's table with a 5% error rate, bringing the total to 131 students. Data collection techniques use the psychology scale, namely the Parent-Child Secure Attachment scale and the Academic Self-Regulation scale. Data analysis technique uses the correlation of pearson product moment using computer assistance, using the SPSS 23 for windows program. Based on the results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant positive relationship in Secure Attachment Parent-child and Academic Self-Regulation in SMK Negeri 1 Jabon. Based on the results of the correlation test known significance value of 0.000 because the value sig <0.05 then there is a relationship between variable X and Y and strengthened by the results of the analysis that the influence of variable X contributes effectively 50.2% to variable Y. The results show that the higher secure attachment of parents-children then the higher the academic self-regulation of students and vice versa if secure attachment parents-children are low then the student's Academy Self Regulation also low.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the phenomenon where students of Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo experience social loafing with individual characteristics feeling worried or feeling that their contribution is not accepted by the group.The purpose of this research is to understand the cohesive realtionship of social loafing for Muhammidiyah University Students Sidoarjo. This research type is correlational quantitative, sampling a population of 10.730 college students. The sample surveyed 336 college students utilizing sampling proportional technique. This data collection technique uses cohesivity scale & social loafing scale. The scale cohesivity validity result shows 18 out of 24 item are valid andsocial loafing scale test result shows 20 out of 24 items are valid. The reliability of the cohesive scale is 0,880 and social loafing scale is 0,903. The data analysis result utilize correlation product moment pearson, indicating r=-0,829, p= 0,000 <0,05 which implies the hypothesis is valid. The higher the cohesivity the lower socail loafing, conversely the lower the cohesivity the lower the social loafing. The contribution of effective cohesiity towards socail loafing is 68,8 %.

Abstract

High affective commitment will lead to attachment to duties and obligations as a teacher. In fact, there are still teachers who are less than optimal in delivering the material. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between teacher work motivation and affective commitment to Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kindergarten teachers in Candi Sidoarjo District. This research is a correlational quantitative research. The research population was 162 teachers, with a sample of 110 teachers using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used the work motivation scale (α = 0.879) and the Affective Commitment scale (α = 0.942). The data analysis technique uses Pearson's product moment correlation with SPSS 17.0. The correlation coefficient value (rxy) = 0.185 with a significance of 0.009 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant positive relationship between Work Motivation and Affective Commitment to the Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kindergarten teachers in Candi Sidoarjo sub-district. The effect of work motivation on affective commitment in this study was 3.4%.

Abstract

Social loafing is a tendency for individuals to reduce the effort put into achieving a common goal than when work is calculated individually. The purpose of this study was to see the description of social loafing on members of the Mapala organization in Sidoarjo. This research uses descriptive quantitative research and was conducted in Mapala Sidoarjo. The sample in this study were members of the Mapala organization in Sidoarjo as many as 123 respondents. The data collection technique in this study used a social loafing scale in the form of a Likert scale. The results of this study indicate that 64 out of 123 people have social loafing in the high category (52%). The highest social loafing aspect of Mapala organization members is the evaluation apprehension aspect with an average value of 23.46.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the gap between students and working students, where working students have low Self-Regulated Learning. This study aims to determine the relationship between Peer Attachment and Self Regulated Learning of student workers. Using a quantitative method conducted at University X with a sample of 323 working students with a sampling technique of Probability Simple Random Sampling. Data collection uses 2 psychological scales, namely, the Peer Attachment scale with 18 valid reliability items of 0.901 and the Self Regulated Learning scale with 43 valid reliability items of 0.930. The results of the analysis obtained a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.987 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. There is a positive relationship between Peer Attachment and Self Regulated Learning in working students, the higher Peer Attachment the higher Self Regulated Learning in working students at University X. On the other hand, the lower Peer Attachment, the lower Self Regulated Learning in working students at University X. Variable X gives a contribution of 97.5% to the Y variable.
