Abstract

Everyone must have psychological well-being, including high school students who experience various physical, cognitive, and emotional changes. Adolescents who cannot manage change correctly and adequately will take wrong actions and face mental health problems. This study examines the role of social skills and self-efficacy in psychological well-being. The subjects of this study were 774 high school students in Sidoarjo District. The sampling method used is cluster sampling. The results showed a positive relationship between self-efficacy and psychological well-being (rxy = 0.479; sig. <0.05). In addition, there is a positive relationship between social skills and psychological well-being (rxy = 0.523; sig. < 0.05). Self-efficacy and social skills can affect psychological well-being simultaneously (F = 179,348; sig. < 0.05). The magnitude of the influence of variables (self-efficacy and social skills) on welfare is 31.8%, and the assessment of other variables.

Abstract

The parenting style in the family is built on the readiness of parents. Parents with children with special needs must have a good understanding of their children's condition. Children with special needs are a condition of a child who has different needs from other normal children. Of course, this special needs condition makes the child need a special parenting style from their parents. This makes parents expected to continue to have good psychological well-being in caring for children with special needs. The subjects of this research are parents who have children with special needs and attend special schools with a total of 54 people. The results of the study were analyzed using regression data analysis techniques. The analysis showed that the research hypothesis was accepted: that gratitude and social support could affect psychological well-being (F = 5.731; sig. 0.006 < 0.05). This study concludes that gratitude and social support affect 18.4% of psychological well-being, and the rest is influenced by other variables not examined.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the intensity of social media use experienced by adolescents. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and the intensity of social media use in late teens. This research is included in the type of quantitative research with a correlational approach. The population in this study were all late teens at the Faculty of Psychology and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo with a total of 2160 people. The sample in this study was 297 people with purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study used a self-control scale and a social media use intensity scale. The data analysis technique uses the product-moment relationship using SPSS16.0. The results of the data analysis of this study explain that the value of the relationship coefficient (rxy) is -0.382 using a significance of 0.000 <0.05 which indicates that there is still a significant negative interaction between self-control on the intensity of social media use in late teens. The effect of self-control on the intensity of social media use in this study was 14.6%.

Abstract

This study employs a quantitative approach to investigate the relationship between permissive parenting and juvenile delinquency. Conducted in Lemah Putro Village, with 110 subjects selected from a population of 150 through probability sampling, the research utilizes Pearson product moment correlation analysis via SPSS 23 for windows. The findings reveal a significant positive association (coefficient = 0.201, p = 0.027) between permissive parenting and juvenile delinquency, with a 4% influential contribution. This study underscores the impact of permissive parenting style on elevated levels of juvenile delinquency, highlighting the imperative for targeted intervention strategies. Highlights: Significant Positive Link: The study uncovers a substantial positive relationship between permissive parenting and juvenile delinquency. Quantitative Analysis: Utilizing Pearson correlation analysis, the research employs a robust quantitative approach to investigate the connection between parenting style and delinquency. Implication for Intervention: The findings emphasize the need for targeted intervention strategies to address the influence of permissive parenting on elevated levels of juvenile delinquency. Abstract

Keterbatasan fungsi adaptif pada anak Down syndrome cenderung mengarah pada beberapa ranah, di antaranya bina diri dan komunikasi. Bina diri termasuk dalam activity daily living (ADL) yang merupakan keterampilan dasar pada anak berkebutuhan khusus. Berdasarkan survei awal yang dilakukan di sebuah SLB di Sidoarjo, ditemukan fenomena salah satu siswa Down syndrome yang menunjukkan keterbatasan dalam keterampilan mengancingkan baju. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, peneliti menerapkan program intervensi guna meningkatkan kemampuan mengancingkan baju pada anak Down syndrome. Metode penelitian yaitu kuantitatif eksperimental dengan teknik single-subject research design (SSRD) desain A-B yang membahas subjek tunggal atau sistem pengukuran berulang. Teknik intervensi yang diberikan yaitu modifikasi perilaku backward chaining. Subjek merupakan sampel tunggal yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Subjek adalah seorang siswa SLB berusia 9 tahun dengan Down syndrome. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas intervensi modifikasi perilaku dalam meningkatkan keterampilan bina diri anak Down syndrome mengancingkan baju menggunakan metode backward chaining. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek menunjukkan peningkatan penguasaan perilaku yang signifikan pada keterampilan bina diri mengancingkan baju yang dibuktikan dengan hasil analisis uji beda menggunakan repeated measures ANOVA [F(2,17) = 17.9, p = 0.76]. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode backward chaining efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bina diri mengancingkan baju pada anak Down syndrome.

Abstract

The aim of this service is to increase access to education to encourage lifelong learning, everyone in Jeruk Purut Village, including children, teenagers and adults, must receive a better education. The service method carried out is preparing an educational program to meet the needs and potential of Jeruk Purut Village, designing an educational program that includes formal and non-formal education. The results of this service can improve community skills and increase the skills and knowledge of the people of Jeruk Purut Village in various fields through a lifelong learning program. The implications resulting from this service are community empowerment, increasing the role and participation of the community in building and maintaining a sustainable education system. It is hoped that the history of educational empowerment and lifelong learning training in Jeruk Purut Village will improve the quality of life and development opportunities Highlights: Holistic Educational Program: Designing a comprehensive educational program that caters to the diverse needs and potentials of Jeruk Purut Village, encompassing both formal and non-formal education. Community Involvement and Participation: Fostering increased engagement of all age groups, including children, teenagers, and adults, to enhance community skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of lifelong learning. Abstract

This research was based on the phenomenon problem of motivation to learn experienced by students of SMA Hang Tuah 2 Sidoarjo. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulation learning and learning motivation in students of Sma Hang Tuah 2 Sidoarjo. This research is included in the type of quantitative research with a correlational approach. This research was conducted at SMA Hang Tuah 2 Sidoarjo, East Java. The population in this study was 400 students, so from calculations using the Krejcie Morgan formula, the sample used 196 students taken using a simple random sampling technique. Data collection in this study used two psychological scales, namely the self-regulated learning scale from the aspect of self-regulated learning developed by Dewi (2019) and obtained a reliability coefficient value of (α) 0.939 and a learning motivation scale from the aspect of learning motivation developed by Santiarini (2020) and a reliability coefficient value of (α) 0.835 was obtained. Data analysis in this study using Spearman's Correlations and this analysis process used the help of the JASP program version 0.14.0.0 for windows. The results of the study obtained a value of r = 0.538 and a p value = 0.001 where 0.001 < 0.05 which means that there is a positive relationship between self regulated learning variables and academic procrastination in students of SMA Hang Tuah 2 Sidoarjo.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of vocational school graduates who are unemployed, and many students do not know their future goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between career guidance perceptions and work motivation in class XI students of vocational high school (SMK) in Sidoarjo. The method used in this research is quantitative with a correlational approach. The data collection technique in this study used a psychological scale with a Likert scaling model, namely the career guidance perception scale and work motivation scale. The population in this study were 64 students of class XI SMK TPI Gedangan Sidoarjo. Determination of the research sample using total sampling, so that the research sample was taken from the total population, as many as 64 students. Data analysis was carried out using Spearman's Rho Product Moment correlation technique using the SPSS 25 for windows program. The results of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.996 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there was a positive relationship between perceptions of career guidance and work motivation.

Abstract

Special schools (SLB) are a form of formal education that is devoted to managing students with special needs in terms of their development and academics. The various types of special needs of these students require a comprehensive theoretical understanding of the behavioral characteristics of each type. This makes teachers who teach in special schools are required to have the ability and sensitivity in identifying students based on their distinctive behavioral characteristics. This service activity aims to provide knowledge to teachers about the characteristics of students with special needs and the importance of the identification process in the teaching and learning process. The method used is psychoeducational activities regarding the characteristics of students with special needs. The results of this activity indicate that there is an increase in the understanding of teachers regarding the characteristics, behavioral characteristics and special potential of each type of disability of students with special needs

Abstract

Students with special needs are one of the conditions of a child who has different needs from other normal children. This condition of special needs, of course, makes the child also requires special handling and care processes from parents and teachers in educational institutions. On the other hand, parents as the center of parenting process are required to have a good capacity for psychological well-being, so that they can provide the right parenting process and develop the best potential of these special children. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of the psychological well-being of parents who have children with special needs. Identification was carried out through in-depth interviews with several parents of children with special needs who attend SLB 'Aisyiyah Tulangan. The results of the interview show that parents have shown several characteristics of psychological well-being, namely in the aspects of self-acceptance, autonomy, environmental mastery and positive relationships with others.
