Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of teachers with problems related to job satisfaction and commitment to their workplace. This study aims to determine the relationship between Job Satisfaction and Affective Commitment to Aisyiyah Kindergarten Teachers in Candi Sidoarjo District. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational approach. The variables used are Job Satisfaction and Affective Commitment. The number of research samples was 63 teachers and the sampling technique used was the non-probability sampling technique. The data collection technique used the Job Satisfaction scale (α = 0.939) and the Affective Commitment scale (α = 0.964). The data analysis technique uses Pearson's product moment correlation with the help of SPSS 17.0. The results of the research analysis show that the correlation coefficient (rxy) = 0.453 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a significant positive relationship between job satisfaction and affective commitment to Aisyiyah Kindergarten teachers in Candi Sidoarjo district. The effect of job satisfaction on affective commitment is 20.5%.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the phenomenon of students experiencing anxiety before the TNI-Polri test. Characterized by fear or individual appearance, the feeling that something bad is about to happen. This study aims to determine the relationship between Optimism and Anxiety before the TNI-Polri test on the TNI-Polri tutoring students. This research is a type of correlational quantitative research. The variables in this study were optimism as the independent variable and anxiety as the dependent variable. This research was conducted at the TNI-Polri tutoring center with a sample of 60 students from the entire population, which were taken using the saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique used two Likert model psychological scales, namely the optimism scale and the scale before the TNI-Polri test. Analysis of the data used is Pearson Product Moment correlation with the help of SPSS 18 for windows. The result of the correlation coefficient is -0.396 with a significance of 0.002. Which implies a negative relationship between optimism and anxiety ahead of the TNI-Polri. The effective contribution of optimism with anxiety ahead of the TNI-Polri test is 15.7%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the adversity quotient problem in working students which is characterized by a lack of enthusiasm for participating in the lecture process according to the adversity quotient aspect, namely endurance. In this case, the resilience of students to work is not reflected in facing their difficulties. Then often complain in lecture activities, including the aspect of the adversity quotient, namely control. This makes self-control in working students low, where working students cannot carry out their duties as working students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and the adversity quotient of working students at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. This research is a correlational quantitative research. The sample in this study was 251 students who were taken using the Incidental Sampling technique. The data collection technique used a psychological scale of emotional intelligence and adversity quotient which was arranged on a Likert scale. The data analysis technique for hypothesis testing was carried out with the Pearson Correlaton Product Moment. The results of this study indicate the correlation coefficient (rxy) = 0.411 (significance 0.000 <0.05). This means that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and adversity quotient in student workers. The higher the emotional intelligence, the higher the adversity quotient, and vice versa. The determination test shows the effect of emotional intelligence on the adversity quotient of 16.8%.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of revealing whether or not there is a relationship between secure attachment to fathers and mothers with emotional intelligence in adolescents at SMP Negeri 2 Sedati. The research method used is correlational quantitative. The variables in this study are secure attachment to the father and secure attachment to the mother as the independent variable and emotional intelligence in adolescents as the dependent or dependent variable. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Sedati with 198 students as the sample using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis was performed by multiple regression correlation analysis using the JASP 0.14.1.0 program. based on the results of data analysis showed a positive relationship between secure attachment to father and mother with emotional intelligence with an F value of 73,958 and a significance of p < 0.001 which means that the hypothesis in this study can be accepted with an effective contribution of 43.1% which indicates that secure attachment to father and mother effect on adolescent emotional intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between body image and consumptive behavior in purchasing cosmetics at sales promotion girl (SPG) in Sidoarjo. This study uses a quantitative research method with a correlational approach and uses a scale measuring instrument, namely the body image scale and the consumptive behavior scale. The sample in this study was 100 people from the female population who were taken using a simple random sampling technique, namely sampling by setting special characteristics that are in accordance with the research objectives so that they are expected to answer research problems. Data analysis was carried out using a body image scale and a consumptive behavior scale using SPSS 25.0 for windows. . The results of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.394 which was declared positive with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. R square value of 0.12 indicates that body image has an effect of 12% on consumptive behavior. The remaining 88% of the percentage of the influence of consumptive behavior variables is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the body image of K-Pop fans on Twitter, with descriptive quantitative type of research being used. The research population is K-Pop fans who are in the developmental range of Emerging Adulthood (18 – 25 years), and the samples obtained are used as research subjects (186 individuals), with incidental sampling technique used. The data collection technique uses a Likert-type psychological scale which was compiled by the author herself based on the body image theory proposed by Brown, Cash, & Mikulka, and the reliability of each dimension are: 1) appearance evaluation: 0.872, 2) appearance orientation: 0.802, 3) body area satisfaction: 0.959, 4) overweight preoccupation: 0.573, and 5) self-classified weight: 0.883. The results of data analysis showed that the body image of 29 (15.6%) research subjects was in the low category, 135 (72.6%) were in the medium category, and 22 (11.8%) were in the high category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Mathematics Anxiety Levels with Mathematics Learning Outcomes in upper grade elementary school students in Sidoarjo. The type of research used in this study is a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population in this study were 185 students. The sampling technique used is the saturated sampling technique. Data retrieval using a Likert model scale, namely the Mathematical Anxiety scale with a reliability of 0.808. And the Final Value of Mathematics Subjects obtained from secondary data in the form of notes (reports) of mathematics learning outcomes. The analysis in this study results in the correlation coefficient (rxy) = - 0.173 and the significance is 0.019 > 0.05, which indicates that the negative hypothesis is accepted. So the results of this study indicate a negative direction between the level of mathematics anxiety and Mathematics Learning Outcomes. That is, the higher the level of mathematics anxiety, the lower the mathematics learning outcomes for upper grade elementary school students in Sidoarjo.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between permissive parenting and juvenile delinquency at SMA Negeri 1 Mojosari. The variables in this study are permissive parenting as the dependent and juvenile delinquency as the independent. This study uses the Stratifed Sampling population in this study was 1,220 students and the sample used was 275 students. The measuring instrument of this study used the permissive parenting style scale and the juvenile delinquency scale. The reliability of the delinquency scale of permissive parenting is 0.817 and the juvenile delinquency scale is 0.865. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach with the assistance of JASP. The results in this study indicate a correlation coefficient of Pearson's r= 0.69 with a significance value of < 0.001. It can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between permissive parenting and juvenile delinquency in SMA Negeri 1 Mojosari. This means that the higher the permissive parenting pattern, the higher the juvenile delinquency and vice versa, the lower the permissive parenting pattern, the lower the juvenile delinquency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of academic procrastination at SMA Di Ngoro Mojokerto. This research is a quantitative descriptive approach. This type of research uses a statement questionnaire. The number of samples in this study were 247 students. The results showed that the level of academic procrastination in high school students showed that the level of academic procrastination of students was dominated in the moderate category with a percentage of 37%, or equivalent to 89 students. Furthermore, 35% belong to the high category, and 29% belong to the low category. This means that students' academic procrastination mostly moves from moderate to high.

Abstract

Humans are social creatures so humans must have relationships. To have relationships, individuals must have self-confidence. Self-confidence is a belief in one's own abilities that can make individuals confident and responsible in their actions. This research is motivated by kpop roleplay users who have differences in showing confidence in relationships on social media. The purpose of this study is to reveal the description of aspects and factors of self-confidence in relationships. this research uses a qualitative type with a phenomenological approach. data collection method used is interviews. The results of this study indicate that the three users were able to show their confidence. Factors that influence the formation of self-confidence are physical appearance, self-concept and relationships with peers.
