The International Journal of Research in Vocational Studies (IJRVOCAS) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal. This journal provides full open access to its content on the principle that making research freely and independently available to the science community and the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge and the further development of expertise in the field of vocational education and training (VET). IJRVOCAS is since the beginning independent from any non-scientific third-party funding. The establishment of the journal was supported between 2015 and 2016 with grants from the Yayasan Ghalih Pelopor Pendidikan (Ghalih Foundation). All members of IJRVOCAS work on an honorary basis. The journal is hosted by Ghalih Publishing and the publishing house of the Ghalih Academic. Scope IJRVOCAS covers all topics of VET-related research from pre-vocational education (PVE), initial vocational education and training (IVET) and career and technical education (CTE) to workforce education (WE), human resource development (HRD), professional education and training (PET) and continuing vocational education and training (CVET).

Abstract

Medical Check-Up (MCU) is a health check Overall, which is carried out to monitor the health of employees at PT United Tractors Tbk, Site Satui, which is expected from this examination to detect a disease or health problem from an early age, PT United Tractors Tbk, Site-Satui is one company that requires a system that can monitor health. and the safety of employees at work. Therefore, an occupational health and safety (OHS) system was built, which is expected to assist in monitoring the results of medical check-ups for an employee (MCU), sending health information, monitoring employee health level charts. This occupational health and safety system were built using the method prototype, made using the programming language Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and the MySQL database, designed using Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), and Flowcharts.

Abstract

This research examines the dynamic load resistance of the Giromill type wind turbine to the variable wind speed, which is converted to the value of the force received by the wind turbine blades. The analysis was carried out numerically using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2019 software. The variations in wind speed used were 2.5 m/s with a force value of 0.195 N for the Giromill turbine, at a speed of 3.5 m/s with a force value of 0.274 N, at 4.5 m /s with a Force value of 0.352 N and a wind speed of 5.5 m/s with a force rating of 0.430 N. From the simulation results using the Autodesk Inventor Pro 2019 software, the effect of gravitational force is greater than the wind force in, so stress analysis is mainly caused by gravity while the wind force has no significant impact. The simulation results also have a characteristic that the higher the wind speed, the lower the stress value. In addition to the dynamic load simulation, the author also tries to implement the Giromill wind turbines in Muara Enim district, South Sumatra, Indonesia. The wind turbine blade rotation will be faster, and the Wind Generator will produce a greater voltage if it is supported by sufficient wind speed.

Abstract

This study aims to find the financial performance of PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk during 2014-2018 in managing its operating cash flow. The analytical tool used in this study is ratio analysis. Types of ratio analysis used are operating cash flow ratios, the ratio of cash to interest coverage, ratio of cash to current debt ratio, ratio of capital expenditure, ratio of total debt, and the ratio of cash flow to net income. After calculating the cash flow ratio analysis, it can be concluded that for now, PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk is still unable to be independent in capital expenditure. Despite that, PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk has recorded a good improvement, therefore it can be estimated that in a few more years, the financial performance of PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk will be very good.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the calculation of the depreciation cost allocation for fixed assets and its effect on operating income when using other alternative methods such as the double-declining balance depreciation method. Fixed assets will experience a decrease in economic value due to usage, damage, and obsolescence due to economic factors and technical factors. The method of depreciation of fixed assets that are used must be following the applicable accounting financial accounting standards, including the straight-line depreciation method and the double-declining balance depreciation method. Sources of data used in this study are secondary data types. Secondary data obtained in this study are from the official website of the IDX (Indonesia Stock Exchange) in the form of financial reports and fixed asset data for 2014-2018. The type of data of this research is quantitative, while the data processing method is the straight-line method and the multiple declining balance method. The results of the analysis in this study can be concluded that the method of depreciation of fixed assets used by the company is the straight-line depreciation method because operating income which is influenced by the straight-line depreciation method has a higher result compared to the double-decreasing balance depreciation method.

Abstract

Madrasah is a place of study or formal school equivalent to elementary school, but at madrasah there will be more to learn about Islam, especially learning to read the Koran. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Kintap uses the at-tanzil method in the process of learning the Qur'an, with the aim that students can understand more quickly about tajwid and the law of reading the Quran. MI Darul Ulum Kintap will provide a notebook of the achievements of the students so that parents can monitor the extent to which the students have learned. The problem that exists in recording the student's achievement using a note book is the negligence of the students in maintaining the achievement record book, so that it can make it difficult for parents and teachers to monitor the learning process of the students. To overcome this problem, the authors take advantage of technological developments by building a system that can be used to access data on student achievement in real time. This research also adds a feature to register new students, so that parents can register their children online. In this research, data analysis uses the method waterfall. The results of the research that has been carried out are that all features or functions of the system built have run well according to their function by testing the functionality of the system using the method black-box.

Abstract

This study used a relatively simple price and an unweighted aggregate price index number used to calculate the level of production cost annually in the form of a percent. The use of this index number is to compare the current year period divided by the based year and multiplied by 100%. The purpose of this study is to analyze the comparison of production costs from animal feed companies in Indonesia, namely PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia. Tbk and PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk in 2014-2018 with 2014 as the base year. Based on the calculation of production costs using the index number method at PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk and PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk there is an increase and decrease in production costs. PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk has better production costs than PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk because the profits of PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk company have increased more than PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk every year.

Abstract

The demand for electrical energy that continues to increase along with the advancement of civilization and also the increasing number of people as well as the reduced level of fulfillment and availability of non-renewable energy sources, it is necessary to have renewable energy resources that capable of fulfill these energy demand in a more environmental friendly. One of the natural energies that we can use is wind energy, which is easy to get and lasts continuously. This research examines the comparison of the power generated from the vertical axis wind turbine savonius type and darrieus H type. The wind that use in this research get from from the fan. The test is doing by varying the wind speed by adjusting the fan speed. The fan is directed to the wind turbine to rotate the wind turbine. To measure the wind speed produced by the fan, a digital anemometer is used. The result of this research is the relation data of voltage to rpm and voltage to wind speed of wind turbine.

Abstract

Biodiesel is a biomass fuel that can replace petroleum diesel fuel. One of the advantages of biodiesel fuel as renewable energy source that it is more environmentally friendly than fossil fuels because biodiesel significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels. FAME (fatty acid methyl ester) is a derivative product of CPO (crude palm oil) that has been treated both physically and chemically. The main advantage of FAME lies in the low content of impurities, especially sulphure and metal content. FAME comes from vegetable oil raw materials, which contain high enough fatty acids, around 61-62%, and nowadays, it is used as a mixture with petroleum diesel. The characteristics of biodiesel obtained from the conversion of FAME into biodiesel by pyrolysis at a temperature range of 160 – 200 oC indicate that the biodiesel produced is density 0.8475 kg/m3, viscosity 3.053 cSt, calculated cetane index (CCI) 48.5, flash point 59oC, moisture content 223 ppm, and sulphure content of 0.07% m/m. The results obtained are below the maximum limit of the specified biodiesel quality requirements.

Abstract

Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) is a process of converting coal in the ground into synthetic gas that has economic value. In the UCG process which will be carried out in the UCG prototype assisted by the presence of oxygen as a gasification agent, which this gasification agent will help the process of burning coal in the ground. The flow rate of oxygen in the process of UCG affecting the coal combustion temperature and effective flame from burning coal. The highest temperature at a flow rate of 5 l/min is 240oC, at an oxygen flow rate of 3 l/min the highest temperature is 143oC and at an oxygen flow rate of 2 l/min the highest temperature is 135oC and time effective flame at a flow rate of 5 l / min ie 80 minutes, effective burning time on the speed of the flow rate of 3 l / min ie for 120 minutes and time effective flame at a flow rate of 2 l / min ie for 165 minutes. This study proves that the greater the oxygen flow rate is used as the gasification agent at UCG process the lignite coal combustion temperatures will be high and effective flame coal combustion process will be more brief.

Abstract

Pesantren Nurul Muhibbin Tanah Laut, which is classified as a new Islamic boarding school, was founded in 2018, and as such, it requires significant input and assistance in resolving issues, particularly those relating to financial management and accounting information systems. If an error is made, not only social sanctions are imposed, but also legal sanctions; this must be a bright spot in the pesantren's financial management. This research employs a qualitative approach in the hope of identifying financial phenomena that can be used as material for joint evaluation. The study examines financial planning, implementation, supervision, and reporting phenomena. This financial process will be visualized as a flowchart in the hope that the relationship between the various components is obvious. Several of the findings in this study indicate that financial planning has been successful in terms of implementing a priority scale, deliberatively forming APBPP, and developing plans to strengthen pesantren financial management. The implementation process has not perfectly implemented the principle of accountability and generally continues to make ineffective cash payments, the supervisory process continues to violate the principles of organizational adjustment and responsibility, and the management accounting process and reporting continue to have numerous shortcomings, such as conventional accounting processes and the use of accrual accounting. The pesantren currently lacks a flow chart that adequately depicts the financial management process.
