Abstract

Following the loss of assets due to distortion of facts in financial reports, there is a need for ongoing study into what defines a quality financial report. A high-quality financial report should be able to achieve its primary goal of delivering useful information for economic decision-making (International Accounting Standard Board Framework). Following that, a conceptual framework for a high-quality financial report is presented. As a result, the purpose of this article is to describe the idea of a quality financial report by identifying the financial report's qualities, antecedents, and results. The financial report should include both basic and improving qualitative features in order to be useful (International Accounting Standard Board Framework). The mechanical display of the report is then added as another characteristic. The criteria taken into account here include readability, legibility, and report length. The conceptual framework will assist financial report preparers on what constitutes a great financial report, allowing them to enhance their reporting. It will also assist financial report users in assessing the quality of financial reports before using them for decision making. If this structure for a quality financial report is used, the number of financial statements scandals may be reduced, restoring investor confidence in the financial report.

Abstract

The development of technology in the material sector is currently very fast, it can be seen from the many uses of metal materials, especially in the mass production industry with certain specifications, such as stainless steel, high carbon steel, and tool steel. Home industries such as the manufacture of rings, pans, bottle caps, stove components and others often use these materials as materials to make tools called press tools. In this press tool, high carbon steel or tool steel is mostly used as a punch, but as the cost and difficulty of these materials make home industries suffer big losses for the manufacture of production tools. For this reason, through this study the authors conducted experiments in the laboratory on recycle leaf spring materials. The experiment was carried out in four stages of testing, namely composition test, tensile test, hardness test, and microstructure test. The composition of elements of the recycle leaf spring are 0.6627% Carbon (C), 0.7304% Manganese (Mn), 0.0240% Sulfur (S), 0.0257% Phosphorus (P). The tensile strength of recycle leaf springs is 1332.5 kg/mm2. The hardness is carried out with the Rockwell C hardness test, the result of the test is 52.5 HRC. There are elements of martensitic and austenite in the microstructure test. The results of the laboratory experiments were compared with the data in the literature, so this recycle leaf spring material could be used as a substitute for cutting blades in press tools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT. Kino Indonesia Tbk from 2015-2019 by calculating financial ratios. The type of data used is quantitative data. The data collection methods used were documentation and literature study which were analyzed using financial ratios, namely liquidity ratios, solvency ratios, and profitability ratios. The results show that the liquidity ratio, namely the current ratio, is not yet effective because the company has not been able to pay current debts using assets, while the quick ratio is declared effective because the company is able to pay short-term debt with current assets without taking inventory into account. The solvency ratio, namely the debt to asset ratio, is declared ineffective because the company has not been able to pay all of its debts using assets and the debt to equity ratio is effective because the company is able to pay all its debts using all equity. Profitability ratios, namely return on assets and return on equity, fluctuate every year because the company has not been able to obtain maximum profit.

Abstract

This research analyses the skewer foundation with Plaxis 2D considering the stability before and after drawdown conditions of the sea level with variations in the point load on the foundation. The study is carried out using the back-analysis method with the assumption that the protective building foundation is in a balanced state with the safety factor (SF) = 1.5. As a result, the stability of the rapid drawdown gave a different value which is the skewer foundation before rapid drawdown showed a better result of the performance of foundation during point load than after drawdown. Before drawdown conditions, the value of the point load (P) is 12 Tons. Meanwhile, after drawdown conditions, the skewer foundation is only able to accept a load of 5 tons. The value of the movement of the skewer foundation before and after the drawdown of sea-level conditions occurred at the same settlement value of about 0.0179 m = 1.18 cm. In this condition, the skewer foundation is considered capable of resisting the settlement issue where the maximum settlement value for shallow foundations for clay soils is not greater than 65 mm.

Abstract

The lack of energy commodities such as coal and petroleum makes the cost of these commodities soar. This event shows how much countries in the world are still very dependent on fossil fuels, and it is fitting that the transition to new renewable energy can be realized soon, low emission and environmentally friendly energy is the hope in the future. Indonesia has a supply of renewable energy sources that are abundant is a great force for this clean energy revolution. The momentum of the presence of the first wind farm in Indonesia operating in Mattirotasi Village, Sidrap Regency, Central Sulawesi in Indonesia with a wind power plant capacity (PLTB) of 75 MW is positive evidence that the government is starting to pay more attention to the development of renewable energy technology in Indonesia. Turbine technology that is able to optimize wind speed in Indonesia must be the answer so that this energy is more useful.  In this study, the idea for an experimental analysis of "Study of the Effect of Blade Shape Change and Lift Angle on Horizontal Wind Tubin using Nvis 6009 Experimentation with Solar and Wind Energy props. Abstract

The scarcity of fuel oil, especially the gasoline type, is now a national problem that needs to be solved. This is caused by the rapid growth of industry and transportation. On the other hand, the problem of handling wet garbage has not been maximal, causing pollution that can disrupt health. The impact of this problem is felt also in the use of household-scale generators that operate using gasoline fuel. This study aims to convert gasoline to methane gas in the operation of a 3500 Watt Generator (Electric Generator Set). Methane gas (CH4) is obtained from the gasification process of wet waste. The method used for the AFR (Air-Fuel Ratio) regulator is the use of vacuum valve components. The use of this method cannot be separated from the easy aspects of the maintenance/repair, easy to make and cheap price. The target to be achieved in this research is to get performance data of generators operated with Methane gas fuel. The generator which is used as a research object is a generator household scale with a maximum power of 3500 Watt. Results variables to be observed among other: engine efficiency as well as optimum engine AFR generator. Furthermore, the data is compared with the data generated generator that uses gasoline fuel. This research is an experimental study, starting with the design of the vacuum valve component, followed by the installation of the component on the generator machine and ending with a machine test. The experimental data on the generator with the nominal power of 3500 Watt is: Operated by Gasoline, the optimum power, Popt is 3750 Watt, Max. efficiency, ηmax is 62.2%; AFRopt is 6.7, then operated by methane gas, optimum. power, Popt is 3270 Watt, Max efficiency, ηmax is 66,1%, AFRopt is 7,2. So, gas methane can be used to replace gasoline to operate 3500 Watt generator.

Abstract

The rubber tapping knives produced by blacksmiths have cracks and chipped and even broken on their blades, so rubber farmers must often replace them with new knives. Thus the product cannot be used for a long time and has reduced economic value. The cause of this rubber tapping knives made by blacksmiths is easily damaged because the gilding method on the product is not done properly. So the product was produced have a relatively low level of hardness. This study aims to determine the effect of the hardening and quenching process on the hardness of rubber tapping knives made by blacksmiths. Data of test were analyzed using ANOVA with full factorial level design, main effect model design, and 3 replications assisted with Design-Expert software. At a temperature of 800℃, the maximum hardness value of 62,8 HRC obtained from the quenching results using a water cooling media, while the minimum hardness value of 62,2 HRC was obtained from oil cooling media. At a temperature of 850℃ the maximum hardness value of 60,4 HRC obtained from the quenching results using water cooling media, and the minimum hardness value obtained from the oil cooling media is 59,1 HRC.

Abstract

The increase in population has increased the need for fuel oil and gas, our fossil energy reserve is increasingly decreasing, while its needs continue to increase. This fact opens up a chance to use renewable energy and reduce the use of fossil fuels. In addition to the depletion of the number of fossil fuels, other important reasons for reducing its use are environmental damage issues, ongoing prices, and greater subsidization burden. To overcome the situation, can be pursued in two ways. First reducing the level of consumption and both continue to develop other alternative energy sources, especially renewable energy sources. Lately emerged various findings. Ranging from cassava, sweet potatoes, to corn that is processed into bioethanol. But on its way, the development of the fuel is often burp. The clash with food needs is one of the challenges. While the crop fails and the land needed to be another problem that cannot be underestimated, especially amid the issue of global warming. BioEthanol itself is processed from carbohydrates or starch contained in natural materials. During this time bioethanol is produced by many food crops such as corn, cassava, and sweet potatoes. In fact, these materials are still needed as a support for foodstuffs. Through this study, the author lifted the green algae (Cladophora sp) as one of the alternative solutions in the production of bioethanol which can someday become an alternative fuel. This is because green algae (Cladophora sp) are scattered everywhere and the Carbohydrates content is quite high i.e. 52.54-60.98% (Khuantrairong et al., 2011). In this research researchers utilize the green algae to produce alternative fuels by looking at how the H2SO4 solvent concentration affects the resulting product.
