Jurnal Teologi dan Pendidikan Kristen diterbitkan oleh Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Injili Indonesia (STTII) Purwokerto sejak tahun 2020. Jurnal SHEMA adalah wadah untuk mempublikasikan hasil kegiatan penelitian ilmiah di bidang teologi dan pendidikan, baik dalam bentuk penelitian pustaka maupun lapangan. Jurnal ini bersifat nasional sehingga artikel yang dipublikasikan hanya menggunakan bahasa Indonesia. Subjek Jurnal SHEMA mencakup penelitian; Teologi Biblika, Teologi Sistematika, Teologi Historis, Teologi Praktika, Teologi Multikultural, dan Kajian Pendidikan Kristen. Kontributor Jurnal SHEMA berasal dari STTII Purwokerto dan dari luar dengan rasio 40:60. Publikasi dilakukan pada bulan Juni dan Desember setiap tahun. Orisinial dan Format tulisan perlu diperhatikan. Jurnal SHEMA menerima artikel dan resensi buku dari berbagai sub-disiplin ilmu Teologi dan pendidikan Kristen yang orisinil. Artinya, artikel yang dikirimkan haruslah belum pernah atau tidak sedang dalam proses dimuat dalam jurnal lainnya. Kemudian, artikel yang masuk harus sesuai dengan format penulisan yang telah ditentukan. Editor akan menolak artikel yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan. Sedangkan artikel yang telah memenuhi syarat akan dinilai kelayakannya oleh reviewer melalui proses double blind-review.

Abstract

Servants of God are not immune to the threat of pastoral exhaustion in the life of ministry. Various pressures and challenges tempt His servants to be trapped in these affecting psychological conditions. One of the servants of God in the Bible who experienced pastoral burnout was Elijah, as recorded in 1 Kings 19:1-18. Jezebel's death threats after Elijah's spectacular ministry defeat hundreds of prophets of Baal, leaving her fearful, depressed, and irrational so she runs off to herself. But God brought restoration until finally Elijah returned to ministry. The purpose of this article is to describe how to handle pastoral burnout in God's servants based on Elijah's narrative in 1 Kings 19:1-18, using the thematic modeling analysis method. Through it, the results obtained that the handling of pastoral burnout on God's servants can be done with eight cars. First, by giving rest (vv. 5-6); second, with adequate food intake (vv. 5b-7); third, by providing a long pause (v. 8); fourth, by encouraging open speech (vv. 9, 10, 13 and 14); fifth, using a weak approach (vv. 11-12); because, by reminding of God's calling (vv. 15-16); seventh, by providing supportive partner services (v. 16); and awakens to the real reality (v. 18).

Abstract

Jesus came to earth to establish His Kingdom. The Kingdom of Jesus is a Kingdom that cannot be shaken. Jesus hoped that the Jews would receive the Kingdom that Jesus was offering with some Jesus saying, “Repent, for Kingdom of God is near.” This shows that the Kingdom will be established and Jesus conveyed to the Jews the time of His coming to the wolrd. However, in reality, the kingdom that Jesus offered was not well recerived, so that in the Gospel of Matthew, he theological concept appears that the Delayed Kingdom. Through this article, the author will focus on revealing some of the theological concepts referred to about the Delayed Kingdom in the Gospel of Matthew. This research uses descriptive qualititative method. Namely by studying the theological concept of Delayed Kingdom from several book or literature references. The purpose of this study is Frist, to reveal in detail what is meant by Delayed Kingdom. Second, it provides pratical implementation of The Delayed Kingdom concept in today’s modern perspective.

Abstract

This article describes the charm of protest reflected in the Book of Obadiah, focusing on the role of holy rebellion in the face of injustice. In this article, we explore the historical context behind the Book of Obadiah and the events that triggered the holy rebellion. The Book of Obadiah records the Edomites' holy rebellion against the Israelites, in which Edom took advantage of the Israelites' weakness and suffering to enrich themselves. The holy rebellion in the Book of Obadiah symbolizes resistance to oppression and injustice. The method used to explore the text of Obadiah is a thematic approach with attention to contextual, historical and theological analysis. In conclusion, this article emphasizes the importance of understanding and appreciating the messages contained in the Book of Obadiah. The protest charm in the Book of Obadiah reminds us of the importance of fighting for justice, embracing solidarity, and opposing all forms of injustice in modern society. It is the Book of Obadiah that provides a powerful insight into the role of holy rebellion in the face of injustice. The message leads us to stand firm in the truth, be a voice for the unheard, and fight for justice.

Abstract

Doubting the existence of God as creator is a view that is often debated. As Christians, we must understand correctly that creation must be the center in order to hold a Biblical approach to Genesis 1:1-2. Living dependent on humas will only endanger faith in Christ. So it is very important that knowledge is also balanced with true knowledge about God. So that faith in God does not lead to destruction but more knowledge of God. The method used in research is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of the research is First, to examine and explain the principles of creation from the point of view of the truth of God’s Word. Second, it provides Biblical evidence regarding the principle of the creation of the heavens and the earth. Third, addirming the theological principle of the creation of the heavens and the eart is ideal in term of knowledge and evangelical truth
