Abstract

This research aims to explain how training impacts Employee Performance through Employee Retention at the main office and Afdeling puring employees of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara XII Kertowono Garden. Using quantitative research, a saturation sampling technique, and a questionnaire to collect data from 67 employees as respondents. This research was processed by using the SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of the study revealed that training has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Training variable on Employee Retention also has a positive and significant impact. The Employee Retention variable on Employee performance had no positive effect. Then, the Employee Retention variable cannot mediate Training on Employee Performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of hardiness and optimism on career adaptability in college students. This research uses quantitative methods. The subjects in this study were 134 students from several universities in Indonesia. The sampling technique used in this study was a convenience sampling technique, namely those found by the researcher and deemed suitable as a sample, and willing to follow research by having data in accordance with the criteria made by researchers. Data collection in this study used three scales, namely the career adaptability scale, the hardiness personality scale and the optimism scale made by the researcher. The career adaptability scale consists of 21 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.702. The hardiness scale consists of 20 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.904. The optimism scale consists of 12 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.882. Data analysis techniques in this study were multiple linear regression tests and simple correlation tests. The results of the hypothesis analysis show that there is an influence between hardiness and optimism on career adaptability of 47.8% with R Square 0.478, F 60.019. With p 0.000 (p <0.05), so the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

As a student, you must be able to manage the demands of problems that are considered burdensome for the individual. Meanwhile, learning motivation is an internal and external impulse in a person who is studying to carry out behavioral changes, generally with some indicators or elements that support it. Social Support as an interpersonal exchange where an individual provides assistance to another individual. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Coping stress and Social Supoort on Learning Motivation in 134 students. This research uses quantitative methods with the distribution of questionnaires through Google From then links are distributed to students. The data analysis technique of this study uses the statistical technique of spearman Rho. The sample technique of this study uses Purposive Random Sampling. Based on the results of the multiple linear regression test, Coping Stress and Social Support for Learning Motivation showed a result of F 79.803 with a significant value of p = 0.000 where (p< 0.05). which means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected so, that there is a significant influence of Coping Stress and Social Support on Learning Motivation with the value of the dertetermination coefficient (R) is 0.741 and the coeffesient (R2) is 0.549, this value shows the contribution of the influence of Coping Stress and Social Support on Learning Motivation by 74.1% while 25.9% is influenced by other variables or other factors that were not studied in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe all forms of unconventional tin mining practices in the Pice dam area of Lenggang Village, to analyze the process of forming power relations in unconventional tin mining practices in the Pice Dam area and to analyze the implications produced by a relationship in unconventional tin mining practices on social conditions. the local community of Lenggang Village. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis approach. Sources of research data come from primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through observation and interviews with Tin Miners, Village Heads, Mining Bosses, DLH of East Belitung Regency, Mosque Management and Non-Mining Communities. Secondary data obtained through documentation and various supporting documents. The technique for determining informants used a purposive sampling technique. The theory used to analyze the phenomena in this study is the theory of power relations by Michel Foucault. The results of the study consist of: First, mining practices began based on the transition from Conventional Mining (TK) to Unconventional Mining (TI) with the economic benefits of Rajuk Unconventional Mining (TI) being very high, this occurred as a result of a change in the status of PT Timah from a State Enterprise (PN) to become BUMN which is considered as people's mining. Second, power relations consist of bosses, miners, police, village government and mosque administrators who spread the dominant discourse of mining as power-knowledge. Third, discipline occurs in the form of governmentality such as the death of the resistance movement, bias on educational issues and high levels of consumption due to the low human development index.

Abstract

A pandemic that lasts continuously and without clarity can result in the emergence of several symptoms of pandemic burnout in the community, especially employees. A prolonged pandemic can also affect the level of quality of work-life or what is commonly called Quality of work-life (QWL). QWL is one of the factors that affect employee burnout, especially for employees who work on a WFO basis. This study aims to analyze the description of Quality of work-life (QWL) in the Pandemic Burnout of WFO Workers. This article was compiled by researchers using a qualitative type of research using the literature study method (library study). The data in this study were sourced from secondary data in the form of scientific articles. The articles obtained were then analyzed using content analysis techniques to analyze and understand the contents of the articles. The results of this study indicate that Quality of work-life (QWL) is one of the factors that significantly affect pandemic burnout in employees who work during WFO.

Abstract

Health needs can be met through two methods of treatment, namely modern medicine method and traditional method. One example of traditional medicine method is bejampik treatment. Bejampik is closely related to the spirituality of people who adhere to islam in Bangka Belitung. The aims of this study were: 1) Finding out the social factors and effects resulting from the use of bejampik traditional medicine in a sustainable manner; and 2) Identifying and analyzing forms of community social action using bejampik traditional medicine. This research was conducted in Kemuja Village, West Mendo District, Bangka Regency in 2022 using a descriptive qualitative research method. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data collected through semi- structured interview, observation, and documentation from 8 users of bejampik treatment service with several criteria. The data was analyzed using data analysis techniques which included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. The result of this study indicate that: 1) The social implication that encourage people to use traditional bejampik medicine so that traditional medicine can survive in the modern era are divided into three, namely the trust of people in Bangka Belitung, the background of bejampik artisans who are well known by the people in Bangka Belitung, and the motivation of the people in Bangka Belitung; 2) The form of social action of bejampik users is divided based on the type of users, namely instrumental rational action on pure bejampik treatment users and value- rational action on mixed bejampik treatment users who are classified as rational action type of social action.

Abstract

Pertambangan merupakan sektor pendapatan perekonomian negara. Akan tetapi sering juga terjadinya konflik yang ada dimasyarakat. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya konflik, bagaimana upaya masyarakat dalam menyelesaikan konflik serta respon dari masyarakat terkait konflik pertambangan antara PT. Timah dengan masyarakat petani sawah. Teori yang digunakan didalam penelitian ini yaitu teori konflik menurut Alfred Lewis Coser. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus yaitu merupakan sebuah desain penelitian yang dapat digunakan untuk melacak peristiwa yang bersangkutan tanpa ada manipulasi. Informan penelitian adalah masyarakat Desa Tanjung Labu khususnya kelompok petani sawah. Untuk menjawab permasalahan penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data seperti 1) wawancara; 2) observasi; serta 3) dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menggambarkan adanya permasalahan dalam pertambangan timah. Permasalahannya yaitu terjadi konflik antara PT. Timah dengan Petani Sawah, karena pemerintah tidak transparan dan akuntabel kepada masyarakat sehingga mereka menolak lahannya digarap, kemudian masalah sistem pembagian hasil atau Fee yang tidak sesuai dengan perjanjian yang ditetapkan. Sehingga memicu pada tindakan aksi demonstrasi di kantor DPRD Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Selain itu konflik membuat kurang harmonisnya hubungan kekerabatan antara masyarakat Petani Sawah dengan petani lainnya, masyarakat dengan penambang dan hilangnya mata pencaharian mereka. Permasalahan ini yang memicu terjadinya konflik dalam kehidupan masyarakat hingga perlu dicari jalan keluarnya yaitu dengan jalan negosiasi agar permasalahan ini tidak menjadi konflik yang berkepanjangan. Abstract

This research generally strives to see the discourse of the marriage practices of children who are raised in the movie Yuni with the method of researching the critical discourse discharge of the Norman Fairclough known as 3-dimensional analysis is text, scholary practice) (socialche practice) and social practice. According to him there is a kind of dialectic that occurs between social context (macro) and language (micro) itself. Thus, Fairclough tries to combine linguistic traditional and socio-linguistic. According to him, to know the meaning of the text as a whole, not enough if it only sees the linguistic aspects that it is necessary to connect it to the social context. That way, although the film is part of the literary study, this study will not lose its sociological aspect. This study will analyze each scene containing text or discourse of child marriage practices, analyze how the audience interprets the film through the application that has comments and analyzes the social context outside the media affecting the text raised in the movie Yuni. Data collection was done through the analysis which was then captured the screen in the scene containing child marriage text. Not only that, researchers also collect data through library studies and documentation which then the overall data was analyzed using 3-dimensional analysis of Norman Fairclough. From the results of the analysis conducted by the researcher, at least 9 scenes containing discourse of child marriage practices in Yuni's film including themselves that there is still an assumption that education for women is not important, some societies do not know the existence of the law Article 7 Number 16 of 2019, the marriage of children is not equipped with physical, psychic and mature knowledge, the environment plays an important role in directing teenagers, the income of the pigs that encourage the practice of marriage of children, and the school that has not functioning maximally.

Abstract

Human Resources (HR) is one of the important factors of an organization because it acts as a mover, thinker, and planner to achieve organizational goals. Therefore, an organization must be able to build and improve the performance of its employees. The efforts to improve employee performance include paying attention to leadership, work discipline, and motivation. The aims of this study were (1) to examine the influence of leadership on employee performance, (2) to examine the effect of work discipline on employee performance. The population in this study were all employees of PT. New Cakti Purworejo and obtained a sample of 70 respondents. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire with a Likert scale, each of which had been tested and met the validity and reliability requirements. Data analysis used multiple linear regression using SPSS 22.0 for Windows software tools. The results showed that (1) leadership has a positive effect on employee performance, (2) work discipline has a positive effect on employee performance

Abstract

The main problem of this research is earnings quality. Earnings quality is very important for investors and is the center of attention for users of financial statements, because it will help them reduce information risk. Investors will tend to calculate information risk by conducting analysis so that it does not contain a large risk of loss. Investors can know that there is a poor allocation of resources in companies with low earnings quality. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of investment opportunity set, earnings persistence and accounting conservatism on earnings quality in food and beverage companies listed in ISSI in 2018-2021 with voluntary disclosure as an intervening variable. This research is classified as a quantitative research with a population of 25 food and beverage companies registered at ISSI. The research sample was determined by purposive method with certain criteria so that the sample used was 18 companies. so that 72 data were obtained from the sample in the 2018-2021 observation period. the type of data used is secondary data. to test the intervening variables used path analysis method. The research results show that the investment opportunity set, earnings persistence and accounting conservatism and voluntary disclosure have a negative effect on earnings quality. the variables ios and conservatism have a negative and significant effect on earnings quality, while the earnings persistence variable has a positive effect on quality. The results of this study also indicate that voluntary disclosure is only able to mediate accounting conservatism on earnings quality.
