Abstract

This study investigates the influence of creativity and Prakarya dan Kewirausahaan (PKWU) learning achievement on entrepreneurial interest among high school students in Indonesia, where youth unemployment remains high despite curriculum reforms aimed at fostering entrepreneurship. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), data were analyzed from 235 grade 12 students at a Depok high school through validated questionnaires and academic records. Results revealed that both creativity and PKWU learning achievement significantly and positively influence entrepreneurial interest, with PKWU learning achievement demonstrating a substantially stronger impact (β = 0.567, p < 0.001) compared to creativity (β = 0.311, p = 0.005). These findings indicate that while creativity contributes meaningfully to entrepreneurial aspirations, practical entrepreneurship education through PKWU has a more direct and substantial effect on students' career interests. The study concludes that educational institutions should prioritize integrating hands-on entrepreneurial experiences alongside creativitydevelopment to effectively cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets. The results provide evidence for strengthening practical components in entrepreneurship curricula and suggest that structured business skills training may be more influential than general creative development in fostering student interest in entrepreneurship as a viable career path.

Abstract

Over the years, there has been a revolution in political reforms in the Gulf Countries. These reforms involve the promotion of tolerance, increased expression, and the position of women, breaking down traditional Islamic values, and assuming more liberal Western ideologies. The reforms also include the empowerment of women, trimming the powers vested in the religious police, and promoting moderate Islam. This study seeks to elaborate on the responses of the Indonesian government and Muslim figures toward political reforms. This study uses a qualitative method by collecting secondary data from online sources and analyzing the Indonesian government and figures responses to the Gulf countries religious reforms. The study found an enthusiastic response from the government level to the reforms through regular visits and event collaboration between Indonesia and the Gulf especially with Saudi Arabia. On the one hand, Muslim figures responded to it not so enthusiastically and only limited comments by several figures from different Islamic groups in Indonesia.

Abstract

For over a century, the Thai government's assimilationist policies have hindered the development of the Patani people’s cultural identity, which blends Malay and Islamic cultures. These cultural impediment is reflected in the language as the Patani have experienced a decline in their ability to use the Malay language as a marker of their identity. This study aims to explain the role of educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), private Islamic schools (madrasah), and kindergartens (tadika) in preserving the Malay language. This study employed a qualitative research method, utilizing library resources such as journals, books, reports, and websites. The results indicated that these educational institutions play a significant role in preserving the Malay language among the Patani. By using Malay as a means of communication and as a subject of study in these educational institutions, the Patani ethnic identity can be preserved.
