Abstract

The development and digitization of the MSMEs ecosystem are accelerated steps towards realizing digital MSMEs that have an impact on the country's economy in the digital transformation era. This study aims to determine self-efficacy, which is an external variable, and technology adoption by MSMEs when implementing the integration of two technological models, namely task-technology fit (TTF) and technology acceptance (TAM), in their business activities. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey distributed to 269 MSMEs using convenience sampling and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings of this study indicate that self-efficacy has a greater influence than TTF on perceived ease of use, and the hypothesis about the components of TTF and TAM are supported based on the data on attitudes towards and intentions to use them. This study provides practical recommendations for stakeholders to empower MSMEs and for MSMEs themselves to leverage technology adoption in their business activities. The implications of this research provide practical recommendations for stakeholders to strengthen Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and enhance the adoption of technology in their business activities, thereby driving the growth of the country's economy in the digital transformation era.

Abstract

Chatbots have become transformative technology in the banking industry. However, there is still a knowledge gap in understanding the influence of social contagion on chatbot user behavior. This research aims to identify and analyze the intention to use chatbots based on the synthesis of technology adoption and social contagion theories. The research method used is quantitative, employing a survey approach and collecting data through online questionnaires from 300 chatbot users in private banks in Manado. Data analysis was conducted using smartPLS. The research results indicate that factors such as Perceived Effectiveness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Coercive Pressure significantly influence users' intention to continue using chatbots. However, normative pressure and mimicry do not have a significant impact. These findings provide an important contribution to theoretical understanding and practical application in the sustainable use of chatbots in the banking industry, which can assist banks in designing more effective marketing strategies and services.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis is the most common inflammation of the joints, with symptoms of joint pain when moving, stiffness, especially in the morning, weakening of the muscles around the problematic joint, sound when the joint is moved, and swelling in the joint area. The absence of treatment that can eliminate Osteoarthritis has led to an increasing demand for more effective treatment. In fact, common disease is age-related, and global statistics show that it is a significant health problem and financial burden on health and social welfare systems globally. This study aims to explain and analyze the effectiveness of combination therapy of stem cells and PRP in the treatment of Osteoarthritis. The research method used is a case study where combination therapy of stem cells and PRP offers the potential to modify the natural recovery of knee Osteoarthritis using stem cell-based technology. Stem cell therapy was given to 9 Osteoarthritis patients aged over 50 years, most of whom were female, who were proven to tend to improve their condition after undergoing stem cell therapy with PRP at the Vinski Regenerative Center and were able to carry out their daily activities again.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the relationship between food availability, household food security, and history of infectious diseases with the occurrence of malnutrition in toddlers. The method used in this research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional study design. The population in this study is toddlers aged 12-59 months in the disaster-prone area of Pantoloan, with a sample of toddlers aged 12-59 months. The results of the study show a significant relationship between food availability and the occurrence of malnutrition in toddlers (p = 0.000). This means that toddlers who do not have guaranteed food availability in the last 12 months have a greater risk of experiencing malnutrition. However, no significant relationship was found between a history of infectious diseases and the occurrence of malnutrition (p = 0.566), possibly due to the mild and non-persistent nature of malnutrition, which does not affect the toddlers' immune system. Furthermore, a significant relationship was found between household food security and the occurrence of malnutrition (p = 0.006). Many families still need to prioritize adequate nutrition for their family, thus improving access to food to meet nutritional needs is still necessary. The study implies a deeper understanding of the factors influencing malnutrition in toddlers in disaster-prone areas and provides a basis for the development of appropriate interventions to improve the nutritional status of toddlers. Efforts to improve food availability and household food security are expected to reduce the risk of malnutrition in toddlers in the area.

Abstract

Interstitial lung disease is a lung condition with wide variations. There are over 200 disorders classified under interstitial lung disease, including sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis is a systemic disease characterized by the formation of non-caseating granulomas involving the lungs, lymphatic system, skin, and eyes. Clinical manifestations of sarcoidosis vary greatly, ranging from asymptomatic to severe symptoms with uncertain prognosis. The cause of sarcoidosis remains unknown, though several hypotheses suggest its association with genetic, environmental, infectious, and autoimmune factors. The main pathogenesis involves the formation of non-caseating granulomas involving various types of innate and adaptive immune cells. Based on its clinical presentation, sarcoidosis is classified into two types: Lofgren syndrome and non-Lofgren syndrome. Diagnosis of this disease can be established through clinical examination, radiological imaging, and biopsy revealing non-caseating granulomas. Corticosteroid therapy remains the primary treatment option, alongside immunosuppressive and biological therapies for advanced-stage sarcoidosis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of diversification and corporate governance implementation on firm value, with firm size as a moderating variable, in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2020-2022. The research method employed is causal research. The population of the study comprises 193 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with classical assumption tests and hypothesis testing used as analytical techniques. The results of the analysis indicate that diversification does not have a significant influence on firm value. However, the independence of the board of commissioners and the competence of the audit committee significantly affect firm value. Additionally, firm size serves as a significant moderating variable in influencing the relationship between the independence of the board of commissioners, competence of the audit committee, and firm value. The implications of these findings are to provide valuable insights for practitioners and academics in understanding the factors influencing firm value in the Indonesian capital market. This underscores the importance of effective corporate governance implementation, particularly through enhancing the independence of the board of commissioners and the competence of the audit committee, as well as a better understanding of how firm size can moderate the relationship between these factors and firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and analyze how MSMEs in Manado City promote the development of digital payment usage. It employs a quantitative method, with 201 respondents particularly from the culinary sector of North Sulawesi Province, focusing on Manado City. Sampling was conducted through an online questionnaire using Google Forms distributed via social media. The research applies the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with modifications, incorporating perceived risk and social influence variables. Convenience sampling was utilized, and data was analyzed using SEM-PLS software. The findings demonstrate that all constructs tested—perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, and social influence—can influence attitudes in encouraging MSMEs to adopt digital payment methods in their businesses. The implications of this research suggest that awareness of the importance of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, and social influence in adopting digital payments can help MSMEs increase acceptance and usage of digital payment methods in their business operations. Therefore, development and promotional strategies focusing on strengthening these factors could be key in accelerating digital payment adoption by MSMEs. Additionally, stakeholders, including the government and industry players, can utilize these findings as a basis for developing policies and support programs aimed at expanding digital payment penetration in the MSME sector.
