Abstract

The use of brown alga (Sargassum sp.) in pharmaceutical science is used as a form of active substance in a drug. The drug which is made in tablet dosage form consists of brown alga (Sargassum sp.) as the main active substance of the drug and other binding agents consisting of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP). In this study, we will discuss more about the effectiveness of the binder (PVP) in drug preparations using the wet granulation method. To obtain a concentrated extract of brown alga (Sargassum sp.) 96% ethanol was used by the soxhletation method. The manufacture of tablets of brown alga (Sargassum sp.) will be tested with a binder (PVP) in 3 different concentrations, namely, 3%, 5%, and 9%. Before entering the granule printing stage, the drug preparation must pass the evaluation of flow properties, angle of repose, and compressibility. After that, the physical properties of the tablets were evaluated which consisted of weight uniformity, size uniformity, hardness, disintegration time, and half-life. In this study, the results of the evaluation of the physical properties of granules with 3 variations of the formula concentration met the requirements, but in the test of disintegration time, hardness, weight uniformity, and tablet size uniformity, the results showed that the PVP concentrations of 3% and 5% were eligible in drug tablet brown alga

Abstract

Social security is a form of social protection to ensure that all people can meet their basic needs for a decent life. The social security system is the procedure for administering the social security program. The Social Security Administering Body (BPJS) is a legal entity established to administer the national social system program. Apotek X is one of the pharmacies in the city of Surabaya which is a referral pharmacy for BPJS participants. The availability of drugs in pharmacies will determine the achievement of an optimal health service. One of the pharmacy's efforts is to manage the availability of drugs for the better. The results of observations made are that there is a discrepancy between drug procurement and drug use. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the availability of chronic drugs at Apotek X Surabaya. This research is a nonexperimental study using a retrospective method. This research was conducted at Apotek X Surabaya. Method of data collection This study used secondary data derived from the prescription of patients referred back. From the results of the study, it can be seen from the amount of drug suitability obtained by 79.94%, the amount of drug availability obtained by 59.12%, and the number of drugs given by 80.97%. The conclusion of this research is that it can be concluded that the results of chronic drug availability at pharmacy X Surabaya by comparing the number of drugs prescribed with the number of drugs dispensed are obtained with the level of drugs in the pharmacy in good category

Abstract

Abstract Various cosmetic preparations are developing in line with technological developments in online marketing today, one of which is serum whitening. Whitening serum is a series of facial skin care products that contain certain active ingredients used for the health of facial skin with the aim of whitening the face. Online sales of cosmetics have a bad impact, namely the spread of cosmetics that have not been registered with BPOM, so it is feared that contamination from contamination materials such as heavy metals lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd). So there is a need for a qualitative and quantitative analysis with atomic absorption spectrophotometry and method verification. This study aims to identify the presence of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) metal contamination in whitening serums so as to advise consumers about the dangers of using these metals for facial skin health. The results showed that the 5 samples analyzed all contained lead metal contamination (Pb) in the range of 0.0191-0.0406 mg / L and cadmium metal (Cd) in the range of 0.7732-0.9871 mg / L. Results still met the requirements in accordance with the BPOM contamination limit, namely no more than 20 mg / L and no more than 5 mg / L. Thus, all the serum whitening sample is still within the safe limit according to the contamination limit by BPOM.

Abstract

Profesionalisme Sumber Daya Manusia bidang Farmasi tidak lepas dari pendidikan tinggi pencetak tenaga farmasi. Institusi pendidikan di tutut untuk terus memiliki standar kualitas tertentu . Institusi Pendidikan sebagaimana halnya dengan organisasi lainnya pasti akan selalu berhadapan dengan resiko, baik itu resiko yang berasal dari dalam maupun dari luar instansi pendidikan . Tujuan dari artikel ini yaitu untuk memberikan pengetahuan dalam bentuk analisa resiko yang dapat digunakan dalam manajemen resiko mutu terhadap masalah yang terjadi di Institusi pendidikan bidang Farmasi untuk mempersiapkan sertifikasi ISO 9001:2015. Pada artikel ini metode yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan metode 5 Why Analysys untuk menyusun analisa resiko . Artikel ini disusun melalui metode pengamatan dan wawancara, sedangkan rekomendasi disusun setelah potensi resiko dianalisis dengan metode 5 Why Artikel ini menghasilkan dokumen inventarisasi resiko dalam bentuk analisa resiko yang dapat digunakan dalam manajemen resiko mutu terhadap masalah yang terjadi di Laboratorium Farmasetika Mitra Sehat Mandiri Sidoarjo untuk mempersiapkan ISO 9001:2015 menggunakan metode 5 Why terhadap sertifikasi potensi resiko prioritas yang memiliki kategori level tertinggi .

Abstract

Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Pharmacies is a regulation that contains service standards that must be met by pharmacies in providing pharmaceutical services to the public. This regulation aims to improve the quality of pharmaceutical services in pharmacies and ensure that medicines sold and distributed to the public are safe, effective and useful. However, there are several problems related to the implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Pharmacies. First, there are still many pharmacies that do not meet the pharmaceutical service standards stipulated in the regulation. Some pharmacies still sell drugs without a doctor's prescription, provide drugs that have expired, and do not provide sufficient information to patients regarding drug use. a juridical study is needed that aims to evaluate the implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Pharmacies and find solutions to overcome problems related to its implementation. So that it still needs improvement and improvement in terms of understanding, resources, and supervision. The proposed solutions can be a first step in addressing these issues and ensuring more effective enforcement of regulations in the future.

Abstract

Antioxidants is an important role in the body's defense against disease, because antioxidant compounds are able to prevent the bad influence caused by free radicals. Sintrong leaves (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) has a compound of saponins, tannins, alkaloids and flavonoids known to be used as antioxidants. The purpose of the study to determine the activity of antioxidant and IC50 values as well as compounds contained there in and compared with Vitamin C as a positive control of antioxidant activity of sintrong leaves (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore). The research method uses DPPH attenuation method and then calculated by spectrophotometry to determine the antioxidant content. The results showed that ethanol extract of sintrong leaves has antioxidant activity that can ward off free radicals with IC50 value of 52.49 mg / ml. Conclusion there is antioxidant activity in sintrong leaf extract (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth) S. Moore) with IC50 value of 52.49 mg / ml (strong) but the antioxidant activity obtained greater positive control than the extract. This data is supported by the Independent T-Test the value of the thitung > ttabel, which means that there are differences in the antiokxidant activity of sintrong leaves and vitamin C. Abstract

Abstrack Almost people usually spare medicine for supplies. If medicines not stored appropriately, medications can be exposed to varying environmental changes, making them lose their efficacy and it can be harmful to consumer’s health. for example, irrational drug use and cause drugrelated problems, including the risk of medication errors. When a product is opened, assigning a Beyond Use Date (BUD) often requires by the pharmacist to determine appropriate expired date of product. This research is a descriptive observational study. Method of data collection was carried out prospectively during April 2022. This study was conducted to patient’s knowledge level of the Beyond Use Date (BUD) of compounded drugs in Kimia Farma 180 Pahlawan Pharmacy Sidoarjo. From research conducted in April 2022, many recipes were found, both mixtures of powder, capsules, ointments, and syrups. This level of knowledge is obtained based on the results of the answers from the questionnaire sheet with a total of 10 questions to patients who come to redeem prescription medicine. Based on the results of the study, with a total of 171 respondents, it can be concluded that respondents have a level of knowledge that is included in the sufficient category with a value of 53.8%.

Abstract

Abstrack The skin is a place of excretiom, the result of the excretion is in the form of sweat that has been mixed with bacteria that can cause infection, so preparations from natural ingredients that contain antibacterial are needed. Mahogany seeds (Swietenia mahagoni L) contain alkaloids, flavonoids and saponins with the ability to inhibit antibacterial and antimicrobial inhibition. This study aims to formulate liquid soap preparations mahogany seed extract with a concentration of 0%, 20% and 50% by testing the physical quality of liquid soap preparations in the form of pH test, organoleptic test, homogeneity test, high foam test, free alkali test and stability test. The results of the evaluation of the physical quality test of liquid soap preparations with concentrations of 0%, 20% and 50% showed that the three formulations did not experience organoleptic changes, homogeneity and stability. The foam height test has a range of 111-128 mm, the pH test has a range of 8.91-9.69 and the free alkali test shows a pink color. The conclusion of this study is that liquid soap with mahagony seed extract (Swietenia mahagoni L) meets the requirements in accordancewith the requirements set by SNI 06-4085-1996.

Abstract

Ondansetron HCL is a 5-HT3 (serotonin) receptor antagonist drug which was recently introduced as an anti-vomiting drug. Ondansetron HCL is available in the form of 4 mg tablets. .The manufacture of OFDT ondansetron HCL in this formulation was to find out which results were more optimal than the different concentrations of crospovidone disintegrant with concentrations of 2%, 3%, and 4%. Oral Fast Dissolving Tablet (OFDT) are solid drug tablets that are easily disintegrated when placed on the tongue and can provide a rapid therapeutic effect. This study aims to determine the concentration of crospovidone on the physical quality of Oral Fast Dissolving Tablet. The method used in this research is experimental. Three different formulations were tested. The maximum wevelength of ondansetron HCl is 248nm. The concentrations used in the calibration of ondansetron HCl were 6 ppm, 8 ppm, 10 ppm, 12 ppm, 14 ppm, 16 ppm and 18 ppm. The results obtained were tested using SSPSS one way anova. In this study, the independent variables were several rations of crospovidone concentration, namely 2%, 3% and 4%.

Abstract

Abstrack The fig plant is called fig in English. Most people often refer to it as a fig plant. This plant has the Latin name ficus carica L. The content of flavonoid compounds in the telang flower has the potential to be an alternative source of natural antioxidants. The purpose of this study was to determine the formulation and physical quality test of fig leaf extract lotion preparations. This research method is an experimental study of making fig leaf extract lotion by collecting the ingredients to be extracted using the maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent, formulating the extract concentration of 1%,3%,5% and evaluating the physical quality of the lotion preparation. The results obtained in the phytochemical screening are extracts containing flavonoid compounds, tannins and saponins. In the organoleptic test, homogeneity and pH have met the requirements and are safe to use for the skin.
