Abstract

The Yogyakarta Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center for Youth (BPSRR) is a place for safeguarding children in conflict with the law. Children who violate the law must undergo a rehabilitation process. However, before carrying out rehabilitation, some functions must be passed, especially the court process determining how long the child will be in repair. This article examines the process of assisting children in conflict with the law. The type of research used by researchers is qualitative research, with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and interviews with two social workers, two social workers, and two children dealing with the law and documentation. Using interactive analysis and the triangulation method, it can be seen that the guidance process in assisting children in conflict with the law when carrying out a trial has five stages: the assessment is the initial data stage from children in conflict with the law. Then the second stage is an adaptation in the hostel for children in conflict with the law related to their mental condition. The third stage of the trial guidance process is the direction given by social workers to children in conflict with the law in the trial process that will be carried out. Usually, children are worried because they are unaware of the trial process. Stage four is the individual handling process. In this process, the child experiencing downtime is concerned about personal handling. The fifth stage of group counseling helps children in conflict with the law share experiences with the trial process that is being carried out so that ABH feels better prepared to face the trial.

Abstract

The mbecek tradition was born from the womb of solidarity of the people of Kalipait Village as a complete emotional bond. It has been a tradition for generations. The exciting thing about this research is that the mbecek tradition is an ancestral heritage that until now has remained sustainable due to cultural and social factors. As times have changed, the tradition of mbecek used to be based on the principle of helping but now experiencing a shift in business mixed with business is felt to be burdensome. Allows for the occurrence of family economic resistance. This research was conducted to determine the meaning of reciprocity of the mbecek tradition of Javanese rural women. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach—data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using an interactive model begins by continuously examining all data from primary and secondary sources until the data is saturated. The results showed that mbecek is a vehicle for exchange in the form of money and staples as a form of investment to maintain kinship ties.

The movements carried out by women for gender justice and the elimination of violence against women in Indonesia have not only changed women's perspective on efforts to fight women against the violence that occurred to them but have also inspired some men and produced new perspectives. Seeing themselves and growing new awareness about their need to be actively involved in the movement against violence against women. This study uses a qualitative method with a literacy study approach regarding men's involvement in gender equality efforts, using the theory of hegemonic masculinity. Hegemonic masculinity is used to criticize the male sex role. Sources of data used are secondary data, such as scientific articles, reference books, journal publications, websites, and other sources relevant to the topic of study. Furthermore, data were collected, grouped, analyzed, and interpreted using the perspective of gender and feminism to describe results and research discussions. This paper tries to explain that gender inequality or even violence against women is difficult to fight if there is no collaboration from various parties, one of which is men; men are at the root of the problem of violence against women, so they must also be part of solving the problem.

Abstract

The focus of this paper is to examine the deepest motives for acts of sexual violence against children, which have become a new kind of culture in Indonesia. Facts show that solving the problem of sexual violence against children is never finished. The chain of crimes continues and takes many victims, even though various methods have been used. This phenomenon finally motivated the writer to seek and find internal motives beyond the external explanations of existing acts of violence. The methodology used in this paper is a literature review by reading various books, journals, news items, and various information related to the theme being worked on. This study found that besides external motives causing sexual violence against children, there are also internal motives, namely the existence of a deviation of conscience of the perpetrator. Perpetrators of sexual violence against children do not want to listen. Their conscience supports them as a 'witness' and, simultaneously, a 'judge' who makes judgments of good-bad and right-wrong in their decisions or actions. Conscience, as the voice of God, is ignored and not obeyed by the person concerned. On that basis, the author offers an effort that is quite effective in finding a solution for the culture of sexual violence against children, namely the importance of conscience education, which includes cognitive, affective, and cognitive dimensions as well as the customary good. Conscience education is essential so that a person can harmonize his decisions and actions according to God's will as He has implanted it in the inner depths of each person.

Abstract

Article 28 E paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia states that everyone has the right to believe in beliefs and express thoughts and attitudes according to his conscience. These provisions are the basis that no one can judge his choices and attitudes. On the other hand, LGBT, as a minority group in Indonesia, often receive unpleasant treatment for their sexual orientation. Referring to WHO data, LGBT cannot categorize as a genetic and natural disease. As a legal state that upholds human rights, the state should protect LGBT people. Such protection can carry out through appropriate legal politics by forming several regulations that allow LGBT people to get the same constitutional rights as others. This policy is essential to manifest the state's presence towards all community groups without exception. Based on these things, this article aims to answer the question of the proper legal policy to provide human rights protection for LGBT groups in Indonesia. The research method used in this article is normative juridical. This article hypothesizes that the correct political law will allow LGBT groups to obtain the same rights as other people.
