Abstract

The era of digital literacy is characterized by the ease with which users can access the information they need using a computer connected to the internet network. This study aims to determine the distribution of digital literacy research publications by year, the most productive researchers publishing digital literacy research, the most productive publishers in publishing digital literacy, the distribution of digital literacy research by country, the distribution of digital literacy research by document type, the distribution of digital literacy research by subject , the interrelationships of the three areas of digital literacy, keywords that often appear related to digital literacy topics, co-occurrence network maps, thematic map diagrams with 4 quadrants. The study was conducted using a bibliometric approach using R biblioshiny and VOSviewer software. Data collection was carried out on 26-27 August 2022 by searching using keywords (TITLE-ABS-KEY( digital AND literacy) AND TITLE-ABS-KEY (indonesia ) . The results of the analysis show that systematic mapping of digital literacy research publications in Indonesia has been carried out since 2015 and the peak will occur in 2021. The most productive researcher published the application of digital literacy Amia Luthfia from Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta. The most published document type is in the form of articles. The most productive publishers in publishing digital literacy are the Journal of Physics: Conference Series and the Horizon of Education. Abstract

The role of adaptive librarians affects the implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), especially in governmental libraries. It adjusts the competencies and abilities needed by librarians. Therefore, librarians are required to rebuild and improve their skills related to ICT. In Indonesia, Standar Kompetensi Kerja Nasional Indonesia (SKKNI) 2019 is used as a national education & training framework for librarians. To explore this theme according to SKKNI, a sequential exploratory research was conducted with contributions from librarians and/or library staff who work in governmental libraries across the Republic of Indonesia. Through in-depth interviews, focused group discussions with 28 librarians from 14 governmental libraries in Jabodetabek, also an online survey (74 respondents), the researchers were able to gain a pattern that showed the tendency of higher ability level in the competency units related to ICT utilization in the library than the competency units in developing library information systems. The unit of competence with the highest mean score is the unit of competence related to multimedia production, including the management of the library’s social media content. Aligning with this result, National Library as the central supervisor for the librarian needs to collaborate with related stakeholders, especially in accommodating competence development efforts to build a national digital ecosystem. Those efforts include the formulation of continuing development program -gradual education and training program. Through this collaboration between various stakeholders, the development of librarian competencies specifically within governmental libraries can be carried out efficiently, following the real needs in the field.

Abstract

Metaverse is not a new technology, and has also been adapted by several libraries abroad. In Indonesia, many studies are still needed related to metaverse technology adaptation in libraries and the library that is most likely to carry out this adaptation is the higher education library. This is because higher education libraries generally have more qualified resources than other types of libraries. This study aims to see the readiness of Higher Education Libraries in adapting the Metaverse technology which is an analysis of the opinions of sources selected based on their respective competencies (purposive sampling). This study uses the Delphi technique which is part of the forecasting technique, by prioritizing the formation of consensus which is achieved through structured communication that is systematic and interactive. Based on the results of the analysis, twenty-four points were found which became pillars of the readiness of librarians and higher education libraries in adapting metaverse technology, and seven of them became the main pillars, namely ecosystem, collaboration, infrastructure, tools, budget, role models and legal aspects. If all of these seven prerequisite points have been met in Higher Education, then the adaptation of metaverse technology can run well. Recommendations for further research related to the readiness of librarian resources in adapting the metaverse in the university library and how the acceptance of users and the expectations of users in adapting metaverse technology in the library is needed as a follow-up research.

Abstract

The impact of information technology (IT) advances in recent years has seen widespread growth in the use of different approaches in academic libraries. Its implications create a global effect on making it efficient in supporting digital transformation, including providing online services. Online services during the COVID-19 Pandemic are the best and most innovative strategic support facilities that have been built and developed by the Brawijaya University Library and the Airlangga University Library, which are included in the Legal Entity State University (PTN BH) in East Java Province, Indonesia. This study uses the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 3 (UTAUT3) Model in IT as a potential determinant of acceptance and use of online services by undergraduate students at both institutions, especially during the Pandemic. This study aims to analyze the online services of the Brawijaya University Library with Remote Xs and the Airlangga University Library with E-Resource Services and find a comparison of the two based on the UTAUT3 Model. Based on the results of research on online services from both academic libraries, it was found that aspects of interest in online services were found, and there was a commitment by undergraduate students to use them again in the following semester. Undergraduate students highly recommended the online services of each academic library to their colleagues because of a positive perception of these services. The behavioral aspect of reusing online services at the Brawijaya University Library is relatively high, but on the contrary, at Airlangga University Library.

As for the formulation of the problem in the research under study, namely, how is the marketing effectiveness of online library services during the COVID-19 period at the National Library of Indonesia . This study aims to measure the marketing effectiveness of online library services during the COVID-19 period at the National Library of Indonesia, using the A-T-R theory, because this theory is a theory that can be used to see the extent of marketing effectiveness. The A-T-R theory consists of three stages, namely awareness, trial, and reinforcement. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative by collecting data using a questionnaire which is processed in the form of percentages which are then described in the form of statements. Respondents who were involved in the research were 357 people who were registered as members of the National Library. Data collection was carried out by distributing Google Forms and this research was carried out for a month. The results of the study show that the online library services of the National Library of Indonesia are in the effective category and it was found that respondents believed in using National Library of Indonesia online library services regularly.

Abstract

The examination of the Community Literacy Development Index (IPLM) juxtaposed with the Community Literacy Index (ILM) was undertaken as a foundational reference for the establishment of developmental policies and performance metrics. This research was driven by dual objectives: firstly, to ascertain the magnitude of the IPLM within the confines of Salatiga City, and secondly, to gauge the ILM within the same region. The analysis concerning the IPLM was executed to assess the state of libraries across Salatiga, encompassing facets such as spatial distribution of libraries, their respective collections, the competencies of library staff, and their patron demographics. The ILM investigation specifically narrowed its focus to the sub-district echelon, eliciting responses from 400 participants aged between 15 and 64 years. Emerging from the IPLM investigation, it was discerned that out of the 164 libraries included in the census, the composition was as follows: 20 public libraries, 129 school-affiliated libraries, 4 university libraries, and a further 10 specialized libraries. To further categorize by district, Argomulyo accounted for 32 libraries, Tingkir had 37, Sidomukti held 41, and Sidorejo hosted 53. Cumulatively, Salatiga City’s IPLM was determined to be 72.83, placing it within the moderate range (aligning with standard benchmarks). In parallel, the ILM analysis unveiled an overall score of 63.14 for Salatiga City, classifying it within the median spectrum. Within this, Argomulyo District took the lead with an ILM score of 66.30, while Tingkir District lagged with a score of 54.66.
