Abstract

This study attempts to describe the beliefs of the people of Ujanmas Lama Village towards the puyang and the traditions carried out by the community in respecting the puyang. The method used is the ethnographic method by conducting direct observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the people of Ujanmas Lama Village understood puyang as ancestors or figures who had established a village. This makes the people of Ujanmas Lama Village very respectful of their puyang, so that people have confidence in the magical or supernatural powers of the puyang. People believe that anything that becomes a legacy is something that must be considered sacred and has spiritual power. From this community belief, people have great respect for puyang. The respect of the puyang in some of what is done by the pilgrimage community to the puyang tomb, such as to the objects of the puyang heritage, and the implementation of customary law that has existed since the kepuyangan era.

Abstract

Islamic education is one of the means carried out to guide, direct and foster students by the values of Islamic teachings. This study discusses the History and Development of Nurul Falah Islamic School Palembang which is interesting to study, in South Sumatra the emergence of Islamic School is due to external factors that influence it. External factors can be seen from the existence of western schools which were established by the colonial government. Western schools tend to be based on general lessons with non-Islamic. This has made the ulama figures in South Sumatra want to compete with western schools by establishing Islamic-based schools in which they not only study general knowledge but also religion. The school was established to be able to compete with western schools. One of the schools that pioneered the existence of Islamic schools in South Sumatra is Nurul Falah Islamic School. The purpose of this study was to determine the dynamics of the development of Nurul Falah Islamic School Palembang how the history and development of the Islamic School. In this case, the history of the establishment of this Islamic School is related to the existence of western schools so that the ulama figure KH. Abubakar Bastari tried to compete with western schools by establishing Nurul Falah Islamic School Palembang.

Abstract

This study explains the role of Prof. K. H. Zainal Abidin Fikri from his intellectual and socio-religious knowledge in the field of da’wah and Islamic education in the city of Palembang. This study uses qualitative data types. This study is focused on answering the main problems, among other: First, how is the intellectual biography of Prof. K. H. Zainal Abidin fikri. Second, what is the role of Prof. K. H. Zainal Abidin fikri in the field of religious social and Islamic education in Palembang. This study uses role theory and uses a historical research methodology with four stages: heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The data sources used are first, interviews conducted with zuriat and her students, her work is entitled Al-Lisanuzzikri. Meanwhile, secondary data are books, journals, and arcticles, related to this research. The results of this study are Prof. K. H. Zainal Abidin Fikri played a role in developing Islam in Palembang. In the socio-religious field, he was active in lectures in almost all mosques in the city of Palembang and its surroundings, his thoughts ware also poured out, such as straightening the words of consent at that time. Counseling with kyai or religious leaders is also encouraged. In the education of Prof. K. H. Zainal Abidin Fikri plays a role in providing teaching in formal and non-formal education both at the IAIN Raden Fatah Palembang college as well as at the Masjid Agung and his own house both about religious sciences to Thoriqoh Naqsyabandiyah Al-Mujaddadiyah.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with many different cultures and customs in it. One of them, the Sada Sabay Dance, which is one of the typical dances of the Komering Tribe in Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency, South Sumatra. This dance is performed when the wedding ceremony takes place, this dance is not only performed when fellow Komering tribes are married. The Sada Sabay dance is still carried out under three conditions of marriage, namely Komering tribal women with Komering tribal men, Komering tribal women with non-Komering tribal men, and non-Komering tribal women with Komering tribal men. The Sada Sabay dance is performed during the main event of the wedding ceremony, this dance is performed by the parents of the bride and groom and the bride and groom position behind their in-laws with a fan position towards their in-laws. The Sada Sabay dance is interpreted as a family dance, a dance of happiness, and a form of gratitude for having a new family from their children's marriage. It is known that this dance has been carried out since the days of the ancestors of the previous Komering tribe, it's just that there has been a change in the accompanying music. In the past, the accompaniment of this dance was still in the form of a traditional musical instrument called the Kulintang, along with the development of the times, the Sada Sabay dance was performed to the accompaniment of single organ music, but there are still places where the Sada Sabay dance is performed with the accompaniment of traditional Kulintang music.

Abstract

The Proclamation of Indonesian Independence on August 17, 1945, is the fruit of a long struggle that has been achieved by the entire Indonesian nation. Everyone who has fought for their independence is still struggling to defend their independence from the Westerners who have re-occupied Indonesia. He has proven the task carried out in defending Indonesia's independence from the ulama and santri circles. This study reveals the movement of ulama and santri in the Battle of Ambarawa in 1945. Ulama who incidentally are religious leaders in this study are also described as war leaders who play a role in moving students or their followers. This research is a historical study, in historical research there are methods, namely: Heuristics are the stages of finding or collecting sources, verifying or criticizing sources, interpreting or interpreting, and historiography or historical writing. The results of this study state that: The Battle of Ambarawa was a series of battles from Semarang and Magelang. Resistance in this battle has involved ulama and santri in various areas around Ambarawa. Crowds of ulama, and santri, cooperated against the Allied alliance. The determination and fighting spirit has flared in the warrior's chest. Ceasefires such as bomb explosions, the fall of torpedoes, cannon fire from tanks, and warplanes colored the course of the battle. The Muslims in this case have made a large contribution in the form of a number of troops, so that the Battle of Ambarawa was won by the Republicans.

Abstract

This writing is entitled The Role of KH. Ahmad Taufiq Hasnuri in Syiar Islam in Palembang City, South Sumatra Province (1420-1441 H/2000-2019 AD). In this paper discusses the history of KH. Ahmad Taufiq Hasnuri on social life and education. And the role of KH. Ahmad Taufiq Hasnuri in the development of Islamic symbols in the city of Palembang. In this paper, historical methods are used with stages, heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The theory used in this research is the role theory proposed by Soejono Soekanto. KH Ahmad Taufiq Hasnuri is a phenomenal local cleric with the characteristics of his da'wah so that it is accepted and developed in the community.

Abstract

LESBUMI stands for Indonesian Muslim Artists and Cultural Institute. This institution was established on June 28, 1962. The LESBUMI organization is one of the autonomous bodies of NU which is engaged in the fields of culture and arts. The LESBUMI organization has an important role in competing with LEKRA, and controlling the national film industry. In addition, this institution is used as a bridge for da'wah using art media. LESBUMI develops Islamic arts, such as: gambus music, Islamic theater, dance, literature and makes a film that is a form of LESBUMI's renewal of NU residents, namely the film Call of the Holy Land. Negative culture originating from the West continues to try to be countered by cultural movements and also boycotts against films originating from abroad.

Abstract

This writing is entitled The Development of the Pakkuru Sumange Dance in Sungsang II Village, Banyuasin II District, Banyuasin Regency. In this paper, we discuss the history and function of Pakkuru Sumange' Dance and the Development of Pakkuru Sumange' Dance. In this paper, we use the historical method of Data Collection Techniques (Observation, Interview and Documentation) Research Approach (Qualitative) Research Data Sources (Primary and Secondary) Data Analysis Techniques (Data Reduction, Data Presentation and Conlusion Drawing) Research Locations (Library Studies, Field Studies). The theory used in this study is the theory of Fusion proposed by A.L. Kroeber. Pakkuru Sumange dance is a dance that invites invited guests as guests of honor.
