Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran fisika berbasis multimedia interaktif terhadap keterampilan generik sains mahasiswa pada konsep elastisitas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan subjek mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan fisika yang sedang mengikuti perkuliahan fisika dasar. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes keterampilan generik sains. Analisis data menggunakan uji beda rata-rata dan skor gain yang dinormalisasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan generik sains mahasiswa kelompok eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Model pembelajaran fisika berbasis multimedia interaktif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam inferensi logika dan membangun konsep.Keywords: Multimedia Interaktif, Keterampilan Generik Sains, Konsep Elastisitas. Abstract. The aim of this study is examines the effects of applying an interactive multimedia based physics instruction on students’ science generic skills in elasticity concepts. This is an experimental research with research subject was students at physics education department that following introductory of physics course. Research data were collected by using generic skills achievement test. Data were analyzed by using mean-difference test and normalized gain scores. Research findings showed that the students’ generic skills in introductory physics course for experimental group better than control group. Interactive multimedia based physics instruction can be increases the students’ logic inference skills and built concepts skills.Keywords: Interactive Multimedia, Science Generic Skills, Elasticity Concepts.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Desa Selebung Ketangga Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh pemberian bokashi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung, (2) kadar optimum bokashi yang harus diberikan  pada lahan pertanian Desa Selebung Ketangga agar tanaman jagung dapat tumbuh dan berproduksi secara optimal. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan rancangan acak lengkap  dengan empat ulangan. Perlakuan bokashi terdiri atas 10 level yaitu:  Bo = tampa pemberian  bokashi (kontrol), B1 = pemberian 0,2 kg bokashi/10 kg tanah, B2 = pemberian 0,4 kg  bokashi/10 kg tanah, B3 = pemberian 0,6 kg bokashi/10 kg tanah, B4 = pemberian 0,8 kg bokashi/10 kg tanah, B5 = pemberian 1,0 kg bokashi /10 kg tanah, B6 = pemberian 1,2 kg bokashi/10 kg tanah, B7 = pemberian 1,4 kg bokashi/10 kg tanah, B8 = pemberian 1,6 kg bokashi/10 kg tanah dan B9 = pemberian 1,8 kg bokashi /10 kg tanah. Data dianalisis menggunakan Anova dan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pemberian bokashi pada lahan pertanian dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung (2) kadar optimum bokashi yang perlu diberikan pada lahan pertanian Desa Selebung Ketangga agar tanaman jagung dapat tumbuh dan berproduksi secara optimal adalah 0,8 kg bokasi/10 kg tanahKata kunci: bokashi, pertumbuhan, jagung Abstract. This research has done in Selebung Ketangga Village East Lombok. The objective of this research are: (1) to identify the effect of the use of bokashi to the growth and production of corn, (2) to identify the optimum extent of bokashi that must be added to the soil of  Selebung Ketangga farm land  in oder that corn can grow and product optimally. Complately randomized design with four replicates were used in this research. There are ten treatment to the bokashi, namely: Bo = without bokashi, B1 =  0,2 kg bokashi/10 kg soil, B2 = 0,4 kg  bokashi/10 kg soil, B3 = 0,6 kg bokashi/10 kg soil, B4 = 0,8 kg bokashi/10 kg soil, B5 = 1,0 kg bokashi/10 kg soil, B6 = 1,2 kg bokashi/10 kg soil, B7 = 1,4 kg bokashi/10 kg soil, B8 = 1,6 kg bokashi/10 kg soil and B9 = 1,8 kg bokashi/10 kg soil. Data analysis with Anova and least significant differens test (LSD).The result of this research are: (1) the application of bokasi to the farm land  can improve  the growth and production of corn, (2)  the optimum extent of bokasi that must be given to the soil of  Selebung Ketangga farm land  in oder that corn can grow and product optimally is 0,8 kg bokasi/10 kg soil.Keywords: Bokasi, growth, corn

Abstract

Abstract. Current concerns over the negative impacts of Hg in the environment have led to the rapid progress of studies in this area. This progress has been directed to obtain analysis techniques that are able to accurately quantify Mercury (Hg) at extremely low concentration in which it frequently occurs. As part of a study on the environmental aspects of deep-sea submarine tailing placement at the Batu Hijau Mine, Sumbawa, this paper discusses recent progress in Hg analytical techniques, followed by the application of several techniques to investigate Hg concentration in seawater in the vicinity of the tailing discharge location. Using cold vapour atomic fluorescence spectrometry, dissolved Hg was found to be at sub-ng/l (ppt) levels. No dissolved Hg signal associated with the tailing discharge was found with concentrations being similar to adjacent coastal waters. Key words: tailing, STP system, Hg, analysis, and marine water

Abstract

Abstrak. Model pembelajaran terpadu merupakan salah satu model implementasi kurikulum yang dianjurkan untuk diaplikasikan pada semua jenjang pendidikan, mulai dari tingkat Sekolah Dasar/Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (SD/MI) sampai dengan Sekolah Menengah Atas/Madrasah Aliyah (SMA/MA). Model pembelajaran ini pada hakikatnya merupakan suatu pendekatan pembelajaran yang memungkinkan peserta didik baik secara individual maupun kelompok aktif mencari, menggali, dan menemukan konsep serta prinsip secara holistik dan otentik. Pembelajaran terpadu dalam sains  dapat dikemas dengan tema atau topik tentang suatu wacana yang dibahas dari berbagai sudut pandang atau disiplin keilmuan yang mudah dipahami dan dikenal peserta didik. Dalam pembelajaran sains   terpadu,  suatu konsep atau tema  dibahas dari  berbagai aspek mata pelajaran dalam bidang kajian sains. Tema lingkungan dapat dibahas dari sudut biologi, fisika, dan kimia. Dengan demikian melalui pembelajaran terpadu ini beberapa konsep yang relevan untuk dijadikan tema  tidak perlu dibahas berulang kali dalam mata pelajaran yang berbeda, sehingga penggunaan waktu untuk pembahasannya lebih efisien dan pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran juga diharapkan akan  lebih efektif.Kata-kata kunci: Model pembelajaran terpadu, sains. Abstract: Integrated learning model is one of the curriculum implementations which is recommended to be applied in all levels of education beginning from elementary schools (SD/MI) up to senior high schools. This type of teaching model is basically an approach which possibly makes students, either individually or in groups, actively find out concept and principle holistically and authentically. Integrated teaching in science can be design with theme or topic about discourse which can be discussed from various points of view or disciplines which are easily understood by the students. Environment theme, can be discussed from biological, physical and chemistry points of view. Thus, through integrated teaching, other relevant concepts are not necessary to be discussed again in different subjects so that it saves time, and the teaching objective can be reached more effectively.Key words: Integrated learning model, science.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Mataram tahun 2007/2008 pada mata kuliah Matematika Dasar pokok bahasan Integral. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Adapun indikator keberhasilan setiap siklus adalah tercapainya ketuntasan belajar klasikal, yaitu minimal 85 % mahasiswa memperoleh nilai minimal 56 (pada skala 100) atau mendapat nilai C. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar 41,2 %, pada siklus II mencapai ketuntasan 83,8 % dan pada siklus III mencapai ketuntasan 86,8 %. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Mataram pada pokok bahasan Integral.Kata-kata kunci: kooperatif, Team Games Tournament (TGT), Integral, ketuntasan belajar Abstract: The research aims are to improving students academic reward in Mathematics education program study FKIP Mataram University in academic year 2007/2008 of the Basic Mathematics Lecture on subject integral. This class room action research was done in 3 cycles and every cycle contain 5 steps that is planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The research is called success if 85 % of the students has score of evaluation minimum 56 or get C at every cycle. The result of research in cycle I was 41,2 %, in cycle II got 83,8 %, and the cycle III achieve 86,8 %, of the students have score minimum 56 . the conclusion is cooperative learning can be improved achievement of the mathematics on subject integral in academic year 2007/2008.Keywords: cooperative, Team Games Tournament (TGT), integral, achievement of the mathematics.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bubur buah jambu mete terhadap angka peroksida minyak kelapa. konsentrasi bubur buah yang digunakan adalah 0, 5, 10 dan 15 % (w/v) dengan variasi lama penyimpanan sebesar 0, 10, 20, 30 dan 40 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan bubur buah jambu mete mampu menurunkan angka peroksida minyak kelapa secara nyata selama penyimpanan. Penambahan bubur buah jambu mete sebesar 10% memberikan hasil yang lebih baik ditinjau dari penurunan angka peroksida minyak kelapa. Kata kunci: jambu mete, antioksidan, bilangan peroksida, minyak kelapa. Abstract.This study was aimed at knowing the influence of a cashew apple fruit pulp on peroxide value in coconut oil. The concentrations of fruit pulp varied at 0, 5, 10 and 15% with storage period of coconut oil at 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 days. The results showed that the addition of cashew apple fruit pulp had a significant influence on peroxide value of coconut oil. The lowest peroxide value was yielded at a 10% cashew apple fruit addition. Key words: cashew apple, antioxidant, peroxide value, coconut oil.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari preferensi dan kecepatan makan dari berbagai usia keong mas terhadap berbagai kultivar dan umur tanaman padi. Keong mas dikoleksi dari daerah Tanjung Lombok Utara, dikembangbiakkan dan diaklimatisasi di Laboratorium Biologi FMIPA Universitas Mataram. Variasi usia keong mas yang digunakan untuk uji hayati adalah 1 bulan, 3 bulan dan 6 bulan. Tanaman padi yang digunakan adalah kultivar Cibogo, Cigeulis, dan Ciherang, masing-masing dengan umur 20, 30, dan 60 hari setelah tanam. Uji hayati preferensi dan aktivitas makan dari keong mas terhadap tanaman padi dilakukan secara ex situ menurut rancangan blok acak lengkap di Kebun Biologi Fakultas MIPA Universitas Mataram. Data diolah untuk menentukan tingkat keganasan dari keong mas menurut variasi usia dan kerentanan tanaman padi menurut variasi kultivar dan umurnya setelah tanam. Hasil menunjukkan, bahwa keong mas berusia enam bulan mempunyai kecepatan makan dua kali lipat dari keong mas umur tiga bulan dan empat kali lipat dari keong mas berumur satu bulan terhadap tanaman padi. Preferensi keong mas terhadap tanaman padi tidak dipengaruhi oleh variasi kultivar tanaman padi, akan tetapi lebih dipengaruhi oleh umur tanaman padi tersebut. Tanaman padi berumur 10 dan 20 hari setelah tanam masing-masing adalah delapan dan tujuh kali lipat lebih disukai dari tanaman padi berumur 60 hari setelah tanam.Kata-kata kunci: Keong mas, tanaman padi, kecepatan makan, preferensi. Abstract: The research was intended to evaluate preference and rate of eat away the rice plants (various cultivars and ages) of the golden snail (various live spans). The golden snails were collected in rice lands of Tanjung Area, North Lombok. Its were reared and acclimated in Biology Laboratory. The bioassay was carried out by block randomized design in accordance with ex situ in The Biology Garden, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Mataram. Investigations of preference and rate of eat away rice plants with various cultivars: Cibogo, Cigeulis, and Ciherang and ages: 20, 30, and  60 days by the golden snails with various live spans: 1, 3, and 6 months carried out by block randomized design in accordance with ex situ. Data pointed to describe life spans of voracious golden snails and   cultivars and ages of susceptible rice plants. The result saw that, preferences were not dependent on variation of paddy cultivars. The six months old - golden snails  had rate of eat away rice plants two fold than   the three months old - golden snail, and four fold than the a month old - golden snail. The rice plants 10 and 20 days old were given preference by golden snail eight and seven fold the rice plants 60 days old.Key words: Golden snails, preference, rate of eat away, and rice plants.

Abstract

Abstrak. Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan informasi yang sangat pesat akhir-akhir ini memberikan dampak pada hampir semua aspek kehidupan manusia, termasuk pada masalah lingkungan. Dalam rangka menghadapi permasalahan lingkungan  hidup yang sangat kompleks dan multidimensi, pembelajaran biologi memegang peran penting. Model pembelajaran biologi berbasis proyek dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk mengem­bangkan sikap ilmiah dan kesadaran lingkungan di kalangan siswa. Materi pelajaran Biologi dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat diintegrasikan dengan mata pelajaran lain seperti Bahasa Inggris, Bahasa Indonesia, Matematika, dan IPS. Penugasan siswa untuk mengembangkan proyek-proyek biologi dapat membantu siswa untuk berlatih mengum­pulkan dan menganalisis data, mengidentifikasi variabel, menyelesaikan masalah, dan mengkomunikasikan hasil kerjanya. Melalui kegiatan mengerjakan proyek biologi siswa bahkan dapat berperan merehabilitasi kondisi lingkungan yang terancam rusak. Tentu semua hal tersebut akan dapat berhasil dengan adanya inisiatif, kerja keras, dan kolaborasi antara guru, sekolah, orangtua dan masyarakat.Kata kunci: biologi, proyek, sikap ilmiah, kesadaran lingkungan.Abstract: The development of science, technology and information which grow very rapidly nowadays affect almost all aspects of humans life includes the human’s environment. In order to solve the very complex and multi dimension environment problems, the teaching of biology plays an important role. Project based model of teaching biology can be an alternative to develop the students scientific attitude and their environment awareness.  This model of teaching capable of integrating the subject of biology to other subjects includes English, Indonesian, Mathematics, and Social Science. Student tasks in form of some projects help student to learn by doing through activities of collecting and analyzing data, to identify variables, to solve problems, and to communicate their project results. Furthermore, through project activities, student can involve to rehabilitate the unwanted environmental conditions. Of course, all of those efforts would be useful if there are initiatives, strong efforts, and collaboration between teacher, school staffs, student parents and the communities around the school.Key words: biology, project, scientific attitude, environmental awareness.

Abstract

Abstrak. Flavonoid yang terdapat dalam genus Artocarpus terdiri dari calkon, flavanon, flavon dan flavan-3-ol. Gugus prenil pada flavonoid tersebut ada pada posisi C-3 dan cincin B teroksigenasi pada posisi C-4’ atau C-2’, C-4’ atau  C-2’, C-4’, C-5’. Selain itu prenilasi juga dapat terjadi pada posisi C-6, C-8, dan C-3’. Pola yang demikian sangat jarang ditemukan pada famili tumbuhan selain Moraceae. Kajian lebih lanjut terhadap pola oksigenasi cincin B pada bagian kulit batang dan kayu batang menjadi sangat menarik karena ditemukan kecenderungan yang dapat mewakili kedua bagian tersebut. Dari data metabolit sekunder kulit batang A. scortechinii King memperlihatkan kecenderungan pola oksigenasi pada cincin B dari kerangka flavon pada posisi 2’, 4’ dan 5’. Perkecualian hanya terjadi pada flavon sederhana, dimana oksigenasi terdapat pada posisi 2’ dan 4’ sedangkan metabolit sekunder dari  kayu batang A. scortechinii King memperlihatkan kecenderungan pola oksigenasi cincin B pada posisi 2’, 4’.Kata Kunci : Artocarpus scortechinii King, prenilasi, dan flavonoid. Abstract. Flavonoid which is in gender Artocarpus consisted of the chalcon, flavanon, flavon and flavan-3-ol. Prenylated of the flavonoid on position C-3 and B ring oxigenation on C-4' or C-2', C-4' or C-2', C-4', C-5'. Others prenylated also can be on position C-6, C-8, and C-3'. Such pattern is very rare found at set of relatives of plant besides Moraceae. Furthermore study to pattern of oxigenation on B ring at bark and heartwood become very attractive because found a tendency which can deputize second of the shares. From data metabolite secunder of the bark A. scortechinii King show the preference of pattern oxigenation of B ring from framework flavon on course 2', 4' and 5'. Exception is only became of the simple flavon, where oxigenation of there are on course 2' and 4' while metabolite secunder from heartwood A. scortechinii King show the tendency of pattern of oxigenation of B ring on course 2', 4'. Keyword : Artocarpus scortechinii King, prenylated, and flavonoid.
