Abstract

Observations were made in Tarantang sub-district Lubuk sub-district of Padang city to find out local wisdom and relate it to science. The purpose of this observation is to prove that the local wisdom of farming that has existed since the days of the ancients is related to the science and science that are developing at this time. The observation activity that we do uses the interview method. The interview was conducted by being recorded. Data obtained is based on local wisdom used by respondents. From the results of the interview it was found that the respondent did not have special education to start farming. Some of the crops from farming are sold to agents, and some are consumed by families.

Abstract

The education system is required to be able to follow the development of science and technology to prepare a generation that is ready to deal with the challenges of this era. The current curriculum is curriculum 2013. In curriculum 2013 students are required to be active and able to learn independently. The procurement of teaching materials at SMP Negeri 7 Padang is considered not to be able to support independent learning, especially during this online learning period. This study aims to produce science e-module for SMP/MTs based on a contextual approach on work and simple machines to valid and practical. Type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the Plomp model which consists of three stages, namely the preliminary research, the prototyping stage, and the assessment phase. The research subjects were 3 lecturers of Science Education, FMIPA UNP, teachers and students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang. The instrument used is a questionnaire of validity and practicality. The research data is processed using the kappa moment formula. Based on the results of data analysis, the results of the validity test, the results of the practicality test based on the teacher's response, and the practicality test based on the student's responses were 0.85, 0.87, and 0.83 with very high category. It can be concluded that the e-module for SMP/MTs based on a contextual approach on work and simple machines has been valid and practical for use in class VIII SMP/MTs.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan keanekaragaman hayati memiliki banyak tumbuh – tumbuhan yang dapat dijadikan sebagai obat – obatan tradisional. Sebelum adanya obat – obatan berbahan kimia seperti sekarang ini, masyarakat terdahulu hanya menggunakan tanaman sebagai pengganti obat – obatan mereka. Disumatera Barat contohnya para nenek moyang terdahulu menggunakan tanaman – tanaman yang berada disekitar perkarangan rumah dalam pengobatan seperti sitawa, sidingin, lidah buaya, silasiah, daun jarak dan daun sirih. Hebatnya mereka hanya memperoleh pengetahuan dari tanaman tersebut dari orang tuanya.

Abstract

The curriculum 2013 requires students to be more active and independent in learning so that teachers must facilitate teaching materials that are able to make students learn independently. Along with the development of technology, teachers are required to provide innovation in teaching materials. In this situation, the current pandemic conditions require online learning. The results of observations at SMP Negeri 7 Padang show that the teaching materials used have not been able to help the learning process. Based on these problems, electronic teaching materials are a solution to support the learning process, one of which is an electronic module (e-module). This study aims to produce an integrated science e-module with an ethnoscience approach to valid and practical. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation, but thisresearch is limited until development stage. The research subjects were 3 lecturers of Science Education, FMIPA UNP, teachers and students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang. The instruments used in this research were validity and practicality questionnaires. The results of the validity test obtained an average kappa moment value (k) of 0.87 with a very high validity category. The results of the practicality test on the teacher obtained an average kappa moment value (k) of 0.88 with a very high validity category and the results of the practicality test on the students obtained an average kappa moment value (k) of 0.86 with a very high validity category. Based on these results, it is concluded that the e-module with an ethnoscience approach on additives and addictive substances is valid and practical.

Abstract

Pohon waru adalah jenis tumbuhan yang hidup di ekosistem pantai dan merupakan tumbuhan asli dari daerah Tropika Pasifik Barat, pohon ini banyak mengandung manfaat mulai dari akar, batang dan daunnya. Telah dilakukan peninjauan observasi terhadap budaya yang telah berkembang di kehidupan masyarakat mengenai bagaimana pemanfaatan dari pohon waru. Hasil wawancara dengan narasumber yang merupakan tokoh masyarakat atau orang tua diPantai Gajah Kelurahan Air Tawar Barat tentang Pemanfaatan Pohon Waru. Oleh masyarakat Pantai Gajah Kelurahan Air Tawar Barat ternyata pohon Waru bermanfaat karena dapat digunakan sebagai pelindung atap rumah untuk melindungi dari angin kencang, badai dan mencegah terjadinya abrasi oleh air laut karena ditahan oleh akar dari pohon Waru. Selain itu daun pohon Waru digunakan sebagai pembungkus Kue Bika atau yang sering dikenal oleh masyarakat kue Singgang. Menurut masyarakat dengan penggunaan daun pohon Waru sebagai pembungkus kue Bika dapat menimbulkan bau harum dan tidak perlu menggunakan pengharum buatan. Akar dari pohon Waru dapat digunakan sebagai pendingin untuk menangani demam.

Abstract

Pada artikel ini berisikan kebudayaan serta tradisi yang sangat kental dalam bermasyarakat asal dari tradisi ini untuk memperingati wafatnya cucu Nabi Muhammad SAW, yaitu Hussein. Acara ini dilaksanakan 1 muharram sampai 10 muharaam , Tabuik sudah menjadi suatu acara yang sangat fenomenal dikalangan masyarakat Pariaman. Tidak hanya masyarakat sekitar Pariaman saja yang menyaksikan tradisi “hoyak tabuik” ini, masyarakat lain yang berasal dari luar kota Pariaman juga banyak yang datang.

Abstract

Guru merupakan ujung tombak dalam dunia pendidikan. Karena pendidikan adalah proses merubah manusia menjadi lebih baik, lebih mahir dan lebih terampil. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut tentunya dibutuhkan strategi yang disebut dengan strategi pembelajaran. Dalam strategi pembelajaran terkandung tiga hal pokok yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi, semua itu akan tergambar dalam proses pembelajaran yang akan dilaksanakan oleh guru didalam kelas. Sehingga konsep materi yang akan dicapai dapat tersampai sesuai dengan harapan kurikulum. Karena silabus merupakan rambu – rambu yang akan memberikan arah tentang apa saja yang harus dicapai guna menggapai tujuan pembelajaran dan cara seperti apa yang akan digunakan. Selain itu silabus juga memuat teknik penilaian seperti apa untuk menguji sejauh mana keberhasilan pembelajaran. Sedangkan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) adalah instrument perencanaan yang lebih spesifik dari silabus. Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran ini dibuat untuk memandu guru dalam mengajar agar tidak melebar jauh dari tujuan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu kepala sekolah sebagai manajerial dalam sebuah instansi pendidkan perlu melakukan supervise terhadap perangkat pembelajaran guru. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengukur kemampuan guru dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang tertuang didalam RPP.

Abstract

Padang Pariaman Regency has an area famous for its beach tourism. No doubt the average occupation of the surrounding residents works as fishermen. Abundant marine products make people associate with the beach. One of the uses of sea water for the manufacture of salt in the Sungai Limau District. Salt water can be seen as a square salt sea equipped with windmills to take sea water from the channel to the pond and processed into salt. Although local salt production is sufficient for industrial raw materials, therefore best practical technology is needed. The aim of this work is to directly improve the salt production process and the basic techniques for diversifying salt production, namely salt and bittern. The results of this work are as follows. Getrape type salt ponds are applied, where the young water embankment is located upstream and the seed pool descends to 1, 2, 3, then distributed to the crystal pot. Sea water is taken through a primary embankment to be pumped at an altitude of 1.5 m, so that it is still full of water at high tide. In the crystallizing pan (size 200 m2) sea water will be allowed to stand for 7-10 days until it is crystallized. Crystal salts located under the bittern solution can be crushed and collected at the collection point. Bittern left-after 29-30 ° Be can be drained back into the seed, collected at the bitter collection point..
