Abstract

Asset management in higher education institutions plays an important role in supporting the smooth running of academic and administrative activities. The manual system that is still in use causes a number of problems, including the risk of recording errors, data duplication, and delays in inventory reporting. This study aims to develop a web-based campus asset management information system that can improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in the inventory process. The system development method uses the Waterfall model with stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The CodeIgniter framework was chosen because it is lightweight, flexible, and supports PHP-based application development structures, while the database uses MySQL. Testing was carried out using the Blackbox Testing method on the main modules, including asset management, asset transfers, inventory reports, user access rights, and dashboards. Testing results showed that all system functions ran according to specifications. The developed system was able to reduce problems in the manual system and provide support for strategic decision-making. Thus, the implementation of a web-based campus asset management information system can be a solution to improve efficiency, accountability, and transparency in asset management in higher education environments.

Abstract

This study addresses the need for user-friendly digital media to introduce Gorontalo’s cultural heritage to youth and tourists. We designed and developed a web-based cultural chatbot prototype (Maleo) using the Smojo platform and a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. The method followed the UCD cycle: understanding usage context via expectation surveys, specifying functional and nonfunctional requirements, modeling interactions with use case and activity diagrams, implementing a Smojo-based prototype, and evaluating usability using the System Usability Scale (SUS). Data were collected through online questionnaires and limited user testing with local youths and visitors who had experienced Gorontalo. Results indicate a mean SUS score of 80.0 (range 62.5–100; standard deviation ≈ 12.27), placing the prototype in the excellent usability category, with clear navigation, low interaction barriers, and positive intention to reuse. The findings confirm that a UCD-driven, no-code development approach effectively produces an informative, learnable interface for local cultural contexts. Implications include enhancing onboarding, standardizing content and interoperability (via APIs), adopting multi-metric evaluations beyond SUS, and providing stakeholder analytics dashboards to strengthen the educational and promotional impacts of the platform in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi saat ini memberikan peluang besar bagi perusahaan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam pengelolaan data produksi. PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) sebagai salah satu perusahaan perkebunan di Indonesia memiliki aktivitas produksi yang kompleks dan membutuhkan sistem monitoring yang cepat, tepat, serta terintegrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menerapkan sistem informasi berbasis web yang dapat digunakan untuk memantau hasil produksi harian secara real-time di lingkungan PTPN. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan pendekatan Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) dan basis data MySQL sebagai media penyimpanan data. Melalui sistem ini, data hasil produksi dari berbagai kebun dapat dicatat, dikelola, dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk laporan serta grafik yang mudah dipahami. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi ini mampu mempermudah pihak manajemen dalam melakukan monitoring produksi, meningkatkan kecepatan akses informasi, serta mengurangi kesalahan pencatatan data secara manual. Dengan demikian, penerapan sistem informasi berbasis web ini terbukti efektif dalam mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan dan efisiensi operasional di PTPN

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi akademik berbasis web pada SMP Muhammadiyah Leworeng dengan menggunakan metode prototype. Sistem informasi akademik yang berjalan sebelumnya masih bersifat manual, sehingga menyebabkan kendala dalam efisiensi, akurasi, serta aksesibilitas data akademik seperti data guru, siswa, mata pelajaran, dan nilai. Metode prototype digunakan dalam pengembangan sistem ini karena mampu menyesuaikan kebutuhan pengguna melalui proses iteratif, meliputi tahapan identifikasi kebutuhan, perancangan awal, evaluasi pengguna, dan penyempurnaan hingga menghasilkan prototype final. Aplikasi dikembangkan menggunakan framework Flask dengan basis data MySQL dan didukung antarmuka berbasis web yang responsif.

Abstract

This study was conducted to address the difficulty in distinguishing between the widely distributed date varieties in Indonesia ie Ajwa, Sukari, and Medjool, which often share similar visual characteristics. The objective of the research was to develop an automatic classification system based on digital image processing and machine learning. Date fruit images were collected and processed through several stages, including preprocessing, segmentation using adaptive thresholding and morphological operations, followed by feature extraction covering color (HSV mean and standard deviation), shape (area and Hu moments), and texture (GLCM). The extracted features were then classified using a Support Vector Machine (SVM) with k-fold cross-validation and parameter optimization via Grid Search, employing both linear and RBF kernels. The results demonstrated very high performance, with an average accuracy of 96.86% for the linear kernel and 88.33% for the RBF kernel, with the best model obtained using the linear kernel at C=100. The minimal classification errors indicate that the extracted features were effective in consistently distinguishing the three date varieties. These findings confirm that classical feature-based methods combined with SVM remain highly competitive and efficient, particularly with limited datasets. The implications of this research highlight its potential application in supporting the imported fruit trade industry as well as serving as a reference for future studies in agro-informatics.
