Abstract

This article intends to know and understand the development of concepts, objectives, methods, results and evaluation of internalization of BVSA in IPMAFA Pati. Today’s global world moves by bringing change more quickly and competitively, various fields experience shifts and challenges, including moral and moral crises in higher education institutions. Character education comes as a solution to the problem of morality, which we often encounter in various boarding schools. The Mathali’ul Falah Pati Boarding School in Central Java is an Islamic tertiary institution that synergizes with Ma‘had al-JÄmi‘ah. It has the concept of the Basic Values of SÄlih Akram (BVSA) as an effort to prepare generations who have good professionalism and morality. This article was prepared using a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data collection methods used is field observations, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the BVSA concept is values derived from Islamic boarding schools, which are being developed by IPMAFA Pati and become a scientific paradigm. The internalization of BVSA in IPMAFA Pati and Ma‘had al-JÄmi‘ah is Integration, Interconnection, and Insertion by taking into account the ten principles of BVSA. The results of BVSA internalization in IPMAFA Pati are that students are the regulations made by IPMAFA Pati, which influence them to be aware and understand how to become a generation that has good morals. Evaluation of BVSA internalization of IPMAFA students is based on an assessment of the cognitive and affective domains that appear in the Study Plan Card and Study Result Card.

Abstract

This article aims to confirm the influence of learning guidance on students’ achievement of Islamic education. In an educational institution, providing knowledge and understanding of Islamic education is very important. However, the ability of students to capture and understand the material presented is different. To cope with students who are less able to master and understand Islamic education material, madrasas do learning guidance to overcome this problem. This article was written using a quantitative approach, and the type of research is correlation using descriptive analysis survey methods. The population was taken from students of class VI MI Islamiyah Genukwatu Ngoro Jombang with 55 students, and 48 students were selected as samples based on a significance level of 5% with the Isaac & Michael formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The calculation of the average Learning Questionnaire results in 53.25, and the standard deviation value 12.227 are classified into a score of 47-63, so it can be seen that the student’s learning guidance is high. While the calculation of learning achievement results using daily test scores, the average value of 80.75 is classified into a score of 71-85 and categorized well. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of learning guidance on students’ achievement of Islamic education in MI. Islamiyah Genukwatu Ngoro Jombang. This is evident from the results of the SPSS data showing that the correlation coefficient is 0.861, which means significant, so the coefficient of determination obtained is 0.742.

Abstract

This article aims to examine how the management of the postgraduate library of State Islamic Institute of Kediri (IAIN Kediri) in increasing students reading interest. Technological developments have positive and negative values, especially in relation to reading interest and literacy culture. The convenience offered sometimes causes students’ reluctance to read printed books, which has been the main reference in every lecture. This article is written based on qualitative research in the form of case study, where the object of study, which is the center of discussion, is the IAIN Kediri postgraduate library. The results of the study show that the management of the Postgraduate Library of IAIN Kediri in increasing student-reading interest can be categorized into three forms. The first is to optimize services for the entire Postgraduate academic community, especially in an effort to facilitate the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The second is through layout settings, where it prioritizes the convenience of the academic community when doing activities in the library. Third is the diversification of collections, in which the form of library collections is not limited to collections in printed form but also granting broadest access to the academic community to explore non-printed collections such as journals and proceedings online.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the contribution of Islamic University Malang (Unisma) as a private Islamic tertiary institution in developing Islamic civilization in Indonesia. To be more focused, the author limits the discussion to improving the quality of lectures and the concept of Islamization of science in building Islamic civilization in Indonesia. This article uses a qualitative approach and explores Malang Islamic University as an object of study. The results of the study show that improving the quality of lectures at Unisma as a private Islamic tertiary institution can be done in various ways. The strategies used in the lecture process are based on andragogical values that are relevant to the needs of students. The principles of lectures prioritize the potential of students and are directed towards the development of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students in a balanced manner. Unisma, as a private Islamic tertiary institution, demonstrates its capabilities in developing Indonesian Islamic civilization. This can be seen from the increasing number of institutional cooperation with various institutions both from within and outside the country. Unisma is also the only campus in East Java that carries the values of multicultural education. This is evidenced by the implementation of a multicultural PAI doctoral program and many Unisma students who come from various ethnic groups, religions and classes. Moreover, campus policies also lead to the empowerment of graduates. Unisma graduates are truly empowered optimally in accordance with their respective field. Thus, the spirit of intellect and religiosity can penetrate in various lines of Islamic civilization

Abstract

This article aims to find out the planning, implementation and evaluation of Strengthening Character Education (SCE) in SMPN 01 Kediri in realizing Islamic values. Islamic education is an effort to actualize the attributes of perfection that have been bestowed by Allah to humans. Strengthening Character Education (SCE) is one way to actualize Islamic values through various activities, intra-curricular, extra-curricular, and non-curricular. This article was written based on the results of a qualitative case study. This article concludes that the implementation of SCE in SMPN 01 Kota in realizing Islamic values, in general, has already been carried out and several aspects need to be improved. Planning for SCE activities in realizing Islamic values needs to be developed in several aspects, namely: (1) there is a need to develop SCE objective indicators, (2) additional activities need to be developed to develop the other three characters in SCE, in order to balance the characters in SCE such as integrity, mutual cooperation, and independence, and (3) SCE activities need to be developed through co-curricular activities, bearing in mind that SCE activities are still focused into extra-curricular activities. The implementation of SCE activities in realizing Islamic values requires the role of parents because they are the first education and as supervisors for their children outside of school. It is also found that evaluating SCE activities in realizing Islamic values had not used measurable appraisal instruments, but direct observation instead.

Abstract

In the Islamic University lately, there is a growing awareness to memorise the Qur’an. This phenomenon continues to develop along with the various open opportunities provided by the manager of higher education for those who memorise the Qur’an. This research will focus on the motivation to memorise the Qur’an, the method of memorising the Qur’an, and the achievements of students memorising the Qur’an. This research is descriptive. The use of interview, observation, and documentation methods and analysis of reflective data in research has enabled him to understand more deeply about the existence of memorising the Qur’an. The results showed that students’ motivation in memorising the Qur’an was inspired by people who memorised the Qur’an first, especially families who had indeed been directed so that all family members memorised the Qur’an and also wanted to get virtue from rote learning al-Qur’an. The method of memorising the Qur’an used is al-nazar or tarÄ«qat takrÄ«r al-qirÄat al-juz’ī (read repeatedly or slowly) while still maintaining the tradition of using the genealogy of the cleric or clerics to one another continuously. Al-Qur’an memorisation students achieved an average of 3.46 from the 0-4 interval, but most of them were above 3.5.

Abstract

There is not much Islamic madrasa in the majority of non-Muslim regions. The existence of Islamic madrassas is important for Muslim communities who live in predominantly non-Muslim areas. In the province of North Maluku, there are approximately nine madrassas that have existed until now. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the existence of these madrassas in a society that is predominantly non-Muslim. The research focuses on is the social support influence the aspiration of the students of Madrasah Aliyah in West Halmahera regency. The method used in this research is quantitative correlational which aim to know the correlation between the predictor variable with the criterium variable. The result of the research shows that for all, education aspiration, social support, and also perception and subject its in-between position category. Subject shows that aspiration education has a correlation with social support and perception. Social support research subject has more than a contribution to education aspiration compare with perception, that’s why, its concluded that simultaneity social support and perception have the influence to education aspiration, The highly social support, the high education aspiration. Otherwise, the high education perception owned, it means the high aspiration education must be owned too.
